Kawashima sparked some interest from the EPL before i believe West Bromwich Albion. It would be awesome to see him there. Btw what do you guys think, Kawashima or Kawaguchi?
Absolutely Kawaguchi. And also Narazaki. Kawaguchi > Narazaki > Kawashima. Kawashima isn't so bad, he's growing up as GK, but the "two-great-GKs" are unbeatable. I prefer Kawaguchi because he has some saves in his hands that Narazaki hasn't. Narazaki is more solid, Kawaguchi more talented.
Hmm i've never like Narazaki. Not one to make special saves. I think Kawashima will become the best Japanese gk but Kawaguchi did some great stuff like the 2003 Asian Cup. Kawashima is solid for the most part. Only occasion where he slipped up is the Asian Cup vs Qatar
Whilst he had his ups and downs Kawaguchi at his peak was absolutely amazing, Narazaki was more consistent, and compared to Kawaguchi he was less 'flamboyant'. Kawaguchi and Kawashima both posses those insane-looking eyes during play, and when you see that, you know that they're going to have a blinder of a game.
FT Lierse [2 - 1] AA Gent 26' [1 - 0] K. Saidi 53' [1 - 1] T. Smolders 58' B. Thijs 85' [2 - 1] D. Claasen Three points to Lierse and Kawashima tonight against 2 placed Gent. Very good. I believe he had a good game then?
Apparently Lierse is currently leading 2-1 away to Standard in the second leg of Belgian cup quarter finals, which means they are 3-3 on aggregate.
Lierse lost 2-0 away at Lokeren, but Kawashima did some fine saves. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vywBOUwxiWc"]Lokeren - Lierse 2-0 - YouTube[/ame]
Torino are quite a wealthy club. Italian B league is imo on about the same level as Belgian league (perhaps a bit weaker) If Torino does manages to go to Serie A all that would change naturally. However if it doesnt... One thing to note here as well. While their goalkeepers may seem like nothing special in comparison with Kawashima ( by the name) Torino has the best defence in Italian B league. They recieved only 15 goals in their 23 league matches. What I am getting to? Their goalkeeper Coppola who cam from Siena this season, is already doing a great job and as you dont change what it works great... Kawashima could find himself on the bench. So if I were him, I would think it through first.
Unfortunally Torino took Benussi from Palermo Calcio on loan for six months. So no Kawashima, even if he'd be great for Torino.
Pointless really, the J.League is better than Serie B and Belgian League. Seriously if he's going to move to another european team at least go to a better league than Japan.
It's about next season when Kawashima would become available for free, and Torino might play in Serie A. The GK position is the position on which experience in other leagues are most valuable imo, so as long as he plays, I'd say give it a go.
