Already looking forward to the new season. Predicting a winner is as difficult as always with probably half the teams having at least some type of chance at winning the title.

Also hard to predict how the promoted teams will perform. Both played really nice attacking football in Superettan last season, but will that style give them more points then for example Gefle who are playing the exact opposite tactic?

The trend so far seems to be that the bigger teams will be stronger in 2012 while the smaller teams are losing key players. Of course some of the managers/wizards in those smaller teams will miraculously find good replacements in the lower divisions but still interesting to see how things will play out and if we will see a clear upper half/lower half divide.

Definitely a tough league to predict. I think we'd all like to see the "big clubs" perform as expected.

I'll be rooting for Sundsvall to do well, I was disappointed they didn't quite make it to the Allsvenskan last year, so congrats to them on getting up.

Many DIF fans have been questioning Mr. Pehrsson's decisions so far this silly season, but I have faith in him.

I'm most excited about visiting Sweden next year and catching a match live and in person! :D

Yeah, I agree with both you guys. I think it´s too early to predict at this moment. I do also get the sense that the bigger clubs (at this moment) seem to be able to keep most of their more prominent players.

I also welcome Sundsvall to the highest league. A former DIF coach (Åkerby) are leading that side.

Pehrsson has already shown his worth. DIF was fading in the league before he came. Pehrson steared the ship towards the right course again and they made it fairly comfortably in the end. They have signed three decent players and will probably sign a big name prior to next season.

Happy to see a club like Trelleborg out of the league. It was a dull club and it was a dull venue to visit. They didn´t bring anything positive to the league from what I can see. There are some other clubs in Superettan I would welcome in their place. Like Hammarby and Öster (building a new arena) f.ex.

Very early on but a lot has happened already:

    AIK
ins: Lalawélé Atakora (midfielder, Liberty Togo) Edward Owusu (defender, Brommapojkarna) Al Hassan Kamara "Crespo" (attacker, FC Kallon) Pontus Engblom (attacker, GIF Sundsvall, back from loan) David Fällman (defender, Väsby United)
outs: Kenny Pavey (midfielder, no club yet?) Yussuf Saleh (midfielder, no club yet?) Christoffer Eriksson (defender, Degerfors IF), Kevin Walker (midfielder, Gif Sundsvall
Rumours: As always in this club there is a lot of rumours. Defender Milosevic is under the radar of several foreign clubs after his strong last season. Some early signs might make us think he could stay for a short term still? I think we can write Goitom the attacker playing in Spain, off? Attacker Obolo is too expensive to bring over? Celso Borges is a prominent attacking player from the Norwegian league. He is currently considering a contract proposal from AIK. Antonio Flavio off midf./forward is back on loan but signs are that he might not be staying too long? Kenney Pavey is a loss, at least emotionally for AIK. Engblom back from a loan at Sundsvall. Impressed in Superettan.

    Djurgården:
ins: Nahir Oyal (midfielder, Syrianska) Yussif Chibsah (midfielder, Gefle IF), Martin Broberg (midfielder, Degerfors)
outs: Mattias Jonson (attacker, ending career) Pa Dembo Touray (goalie, club?) Prince Ikpe Ekong (midfielder, club?) Adam Guira (midfielder, club?) Mehdi Khalil (goalie, club?) André Calisir (defender, Jönköpings Södra) Hrvoje Milic (midfielder, NK Osijek) Boyd Mwila (attacker, club?)
rumours: Oremo, Lyyski, Ayuba, Igboannanike are told to find new clubs. BP`s goalie Nordfeldt´s contract expires shortly. DIF are interested since Touray is out. But at this point no signs of him coming? Marcus Olsson of Halmstad is very competent. DIF have had their contract proposal turned down though. A new try? Björkebaum, Wanke and Leo Englund are lesser known names mentioned. A more well known player James Keene is definately a player DIF are interested. The Elfsborg attacker is currently on loan to Fredrikstad, Norway. Chairman Jacobsson sends out signals that DIF eventually will make a "major" signing.

    GAIS:
ins: Peter Ijeh attacker from Syrianska
outs: Mervan Celik leaves the club.
rumours: There are several rumours. But let´s just go over the more well known names. Angus the defender is trying his luck at West Ham. Attacking star Wanderson is a saught after player off course. One of many interested in him has been Helsingborg. Will he stay afterall? Jeffrey Aubynn will have problems taking a regular place at Malmö. Coach Axén likes this player and he might be on his way? Icelandic player Jonason has done well at Danish Sönderjyske during the loan period. They want to buy him. Florén has done well during his loan at GAIS. The Elfsborg player to be signed over? Talented midfielder of Elfsborg, Nordmark is leaving IFE? GAIS one of the interested clubs. Central defender Lundgren to prolong his contract a further year. Peter Ijeh is brought over from Syrianska. Mr. "Wallet" Persson the sports Director always tries his best to get the headlines. Several years ago he signed Ijeh to IFK Göteborg when he was Sports Director there. It all ended in disaster with an illegal contract and tax evation and black headlines as a result.....

    Gefle IF
ins: Alexander Faltsetas (midfielder, IFK Göteborg) Linus Malmborg (defender, Vasalunds IF) Johan Svantesson (attacker, Vara SK)
outs: Yussif Chibsah (midfielder, Djurgårdens IF) Daniel Theorin (defender, Hammarby IF)
Rumours: Medi Dresevic, a talented 19-year-old from division1 Club Norrby IF (Borås), trained with Gefle and is reported to be about to sign a contract with the club. 22-year-old Marcus Danielsson from Västerås SK reportedly attracted interest from Gefle. Also Mjällby are interested in the center-back who made eight goals in Superettan the previous season. Suad Graudas contract with Gefle expires and do not appear to be extended.

    Helsingborg IF
    ins:
outs: Hannu cartridge (defender, club?) Jørgen Skjelvik (defender / midfielder, back to Stabaek from loan, newly recruited to Kalmar FF) Simon Thern (midfielder, Malmö)
rumours: Has contacted Gais regarding Wanderson. If they can´t get Wanderson they will focus more on claiming Prica of Rosenborg? Falkenberg´s Christopher Carlsson has been on his way to Helsingborg, but says that he looks to be staying in Falkenberg. The last word is not said.
23-year-old CostaRican Celso Borges from Norwegian Fredrikstad is sitting on an expiring contract and the offensive midfielder could be a name for HIF.
21-year-old Johan Eiswohld´s contract with the Swedish champions expires and it is unclear if it will be extended. Markus Holgersson and faithful HIF-servant Erik Wahlstedt´s contracts expires but both are said to be close to extending. 23-year-old Gudjon Petur Lydsson has been to Helsingborg on loan from Icelandic Valur and can be bought off. 23-year-old Marcus Olsson has been linked to Helsingborg after Halmstad knocked out Premier League. May Mahlangu´s success last season might result in him leaving Helsingborg for a bigger league. 20-year-old Sebastian Carlsén belonging to Inter was last season on loan at Helsingborg. The contract with Inter expires in the summer but Helsingborg sporting director Jesper Jansson says it is unlikely that Carlsen will stay to next season. Helsingborg is reportedly interested in Norrköping´s star midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic. Helsingborg is interested in Elfsborg´s Daniel Nordmark, says Sporting director Jesper Jansson. Erik Sundin has settled a new performance-based two-year contract with the club. Important Norwegian midfielder Gashi prolongs with the club finally. Maximilian Urrati, 20 year old attacker from Newlells, Argentina on his way?(edit)

    BK Häcken
ins: Andreas Drugge (midfielder, IFK Göteborg)
outs: Peter Nyström (midfielder, Halmstads BK)
rumours: Trainer Gerhardsson has been rumoured leaving for Hammarby but will stay at Häcken afterall. Dominic Chatto has been rumoured out but just extended his contract and stays put at the tiny Gothenburg club. Joe Sise attracted interest from Häcken but looks set for leaving abroad. Josef Elvby with an outgoing contract and he looks set to leave soon. Leonard Zuta who won the Junior Swedish Champs. prolonged with the clubt. Daniel Nordmark is leaving Elfsborg and says himself that Häcken are one of the interested clubs. Anreas Drugge the offensive midfielder joins the Häcken squad. He had difficulty finding a regular sppot in IFK Göteborg.

    IF Elfsborg
ins: Stefan Larsson (defender, Kalmar FF), Viktor Claesson (midfielder, IFK Värnamo), Jörgen Lennartsson (trainer, Stabaek)
outs: Ante Covic (goalie, Melbourne Victory FC) Johan Sjöberg (defender, ends career) Johan Karlsson (defender, ends career) Magnus Haglund (trainer, Lilleström,Norway) Daniel Nordmark (midfielder, club?r) Elmin Kurbegovic(midfielder, club?)
rumours: Stefan Ishizaki have attracted interest from two North American clubs. central defender Anders Wikström was on loan to Norrköping from Elfsborg and looks set to leave the Borås-club. His former club Gefle IF and Norrköping are both interested in signing him. Jesper Florén has been on loan to GAIS and they want him to stay as it looks. James Keene is perhaps targeted by Djurgården?. Goalie Jesper Christiansen have attracted Odense´s interest in Denmark. Leaves.

    IFK Gothenburg
ins: Daniel Sobralense (midfielder, Kalmar FF) John Alvbåge (goalkeeper, Örebro SK) Mikael Stahre (trainer)
outs: Adam Jackson (defender, club?) Kamal Mustafa (midfielder, club?) Jonas Olsson (trainer, Sogndal,Norway) Alexander Faltsetas (midfielder, Gefle IF) Andreas Drugge (midfielder, BK Häcken)
rumours: FC Copenhagen Peter Larsson could be heading back to Sweden when Malmo FF and IFK Gothenburg have shown interest. Heerenveen player Viktor Elm earlier followed by IFK Gothenburg. Bundesliga Pro Per Nilsson has been contacted by Håkan Mild being another guy on the wish list.
Could Halmstad player Marcus Olsson can be a name for IFK Gothenburg?AIK and IFK are targeting 31 year old midfielder Pontus Farnerud?
Elmar Bjarnarsson, Kalle Svensson and Marcus Sandberg have all been told that they are not part of Michael Stahre plans for next season and with high probability leaves IFK to the coming season. Bjarnarson has been in Ipswich on trial game and will discuss the future with Gothenburg in December. Håkan Mild has confirmed that Daniel Nordmark leaving Elfsborg is an interesting prospect. Tobias Hysén is elected new Captain for the team....

    Kalmar
ins: Jonathan McDonald (striker, LD Alajuelense) Archford Ginu (midfielder, Dynamo FC Harare) Papa Diouf (midfielder, Dakar Universität Club) Mats Solheim (defender Sogndal) Jørgen Skjelvik (defender / midfielder, Stabaek) Sebastian Andersson (striker, Ängelholms FF)

rumours: Kalmar said to be looking for Brommapojkarna talented goalkeeper Davor Blazevic. They have tried to recruit David Elm but Elfsborg have not wanted to sell the striker. The 19-year-old attacking talent Bryan Massa from Väsby United, have Kalmar watching them. Massa´s agent has contacted Kalmar but it is not clear how specific the club's interest are. Kalmar stated interest in Elfsborg´s Daniel Nordmark as he is leaving the club. Emin Nouris contract expires and the player himself has declared that he leaves. Club director Svante Samuelsson says, however, that the negotiations with Nouri is still ongoing. Alban Dragusha has had a troubled season behind them and may leave Kalmar. Dutch AZ Alkmaar reported to be interested in the talented right defender Mattias Johansson.

    Malmö FF
ins: Robin Olsen (goalkeeper, Klagshamn) Erik Friberg (midfielder, Seattle Sounders)
outs: Agon Mehmeti (striker, Palermo) Dejan Garaca (goalkeeper, club?) Dusan Melichárek (goalkeeper, club?) Miljan Mutavdžic (defender / midfielder, club?) Yago Fernandez (defender, club?) Jeffrey Aubyn (midfielder, club?) Omid Nazari (midfielder, club?)
rumours: Malmo will not proceed with the test training 21-year-old Ayanda Nikili (from IFK Hässleholm) who is alleged to have Mjällby watching him though. The young players Philip Tronét from Västerås SK and Emil Krafth fromÖster are training at MFF.
Eight talents have been offered the test games in Malmo FF. These are Philip Pivkovski (Blackburn), Rodrigo Zambrano (Brage), Stefan Ilic (Rosengard), Robin Andersson (Lund BK), Saman Ghoddoos (LB07), Marcus Haglind Sangre (Linkoping), Mohammed Said (BK Forward) and Dardan Mustafa (Lunds BK). Wilton Figueiredo was earlier reviewing his current situation at the club but for the moment seems set to stay and play out his contract. Simon Thern is signed to the MFF-organisation. The youngster may have a tough time grabbing a spot since Friberg another midfielder has joined from the MLS league....

    Mjällby
    ins:
outs: David Lofquist (midfielder / striker, Parma) Jesper Westerberg (defender, Lillestrom)
rumours: 22-year-old Marcus Danielsson from Västerås SK reportedly attracted interest from Gefle and Mjällby. Danielsson last season scored eight goals in the Superettan, in a central defender position. Theere has been a lot of talk of Patrick Osiako who announced that he would leave Mjällby. Osiako says that Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv gave him a proposal. Tobias Grahn have clubs watching him but the player is waiting with the decision.
Three players is put in connection with Mjällby. 24-year-old Sito Riera from Greek Panionios who is trained in Barcelona, 29-year-old NT-player Victor Bernardez from Honduras and 22-year-old Diego Madrigal of Costa Rica who scored a goal against Argentina in a friendly game. Ayanda Nikili test trained for MFF but there was no contract proposal put forward, and so Mjällby is said to be a possible club for the 21-year-old defender.

    IFK Norrköping
ins: Modou Barrow (striker, Mjölby Södra)
outs: Russell Mwafulirwa (striker, club?) Petru Racu (defender, club?) Anders Whass (defender) Andreas Haglund (striker, club?) Niklas Westberg (goalkeeper, Brommapojkarna)
rumours: Anders Wikstrom was loaned to Norrköping last season and looks set to leave Elfsborg. Norrköping and Gävle seems to agreeing for the player's signature. Norrköping is interested Brommapojkarna 22-year-old goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt whose contract expires. 18-year-old goalie Joakim Jans from Tenshult has been test playing with Norrkoping and has been impressive. Daniel Nordmark leaves Elfsborg and Norrköping are reported to be one of the interested clubs.
Icelander Daniel Laxdale from UMF Star Gardabaer have test played with Norrköping, but so far no decision has been taken from the club regarding the next step. Veteran Halmstad player Andreas Johansson, who currently plays in the VFL Bochum has been rumored to be heading to Norrköping. In addition, they have shown interest in Hammarby´s Maic Sema and Djurgården´s Kennedy Igboananike.
Bruno Santos has received permission from Norrköping to move to a new club. Caio Mendes may be moving away from the club if a fair offer arrives from probable clubs. The Norwegian center-back Morten Morisbak Skjønsberg contract with Stabaek expires at the end of the year and Norrköping is reported to have made contact with 28-year-old. It has been speculated that Astrit Ajdarevic is a name for the reigning champions Helsingborg. Folkbladet say that FC Copenhagen's central defender Peter Larsson may be going to the club. I would think this to highly unlikely though.

    Gif Sundsvall
ins: Johan Eklund (striker, Brage), Kevin Walker (midfielder, AIK)
outs: Alexis Mendiola (midfielder, club?) Pontus Silver (midfielder, club?) Pontus Engblom (striker, back to AIK from loan) Jonas Wallerstedt (striker, club?)
rumours: 27-year-old Johan Eklund from Brage can be snapped up by the Northernland side. The attacker made 9 goals for Brage in Superetten the last season. Eklund's teammate from Brage, Robin Sellin is also an interesting name for Sundsvall, who offered Sellin practice games. Umeå FC's 23-year-old team captain Erik Lundström is alleged to have attracted the interest of Sundsvall. Sundsvall Aziz Corr Nyang played in Brommapojkarna last season where he was on loan and Sundsvall is now said to be releasing the striker from his contract. Brommapojkarna has a call option on Nyang who is alleged to have interested two further Swedish clubs.
Sundsvall coach Soren Åkeby says Djurgården´s Kennedy Igboananike is an interesting name for the club and a transition is not impossible. Norrköping has had two goalkeepers on trial games - Aly Keita from Syriac IF Kerburan and Härnösands Victor Carr. Remains to be seen whether any of the goalies get a contract offer. Hammarby Maic Sema rumored to be a name for The Giffarna.

    Syrianska FC
    ins:
outs: Nahir Oyal (midfielder, Djurgarden) Razak Omotoyossi (striker, Zamalek), Peter Ijeh (striker, Gais)
rumours: Abgar Barsom, Imad Zatar and David Durmaz are players whose contracts expire and it remains to be seen which ones may be extended. Syriac is one of several clubs that are after Djurgården´s Kennedy Igboananike. Louay Chanko is a hot name for Syriac. He has not been a regular in the club team Aalborg and it is likely that he ends up in Syriac for next season. Yussuf Saleh had no extended contract with AIK and can return to the Syriac, where he was on loan last season. The coach Özcan Melkemichels contract expires and Melke Michel has hinted at taking a break from football. Lately we hear though he´s giving it a chance afterall. Marcus de Bruin from Degerfors trained with the Syriac and played a friendly game against Vasalund with the club which also Västerås SK's Mattias Mete did. Omar Jawos contract expires in December and still no new contracts is written.

    Åtvidabergs FF
ins: Petrit Zhubi (midfielder, FC Trollhättan) Tom Pettersson (midfielder, FC Trollhätan) Mattias Mete (striker, Västerås SK)
    outs:
rumours: 37-year-old Christian Bergstrom has extended his contract and enters his 15th season at the club. The club has also extended with the center-back Alberis da Silva.

    Örebro SK
ins: Jonas Sandqvist (goalkeeper, Ålesund FK) Christopher Wiktorsson (defender, Degerfors), Peter Samuelsson (striker, Degerfors) Tomer Chencinski (goalkeeper, VPS Vaasa)
outs: John Alvbåge(goalkeeper, IFK Gothenburg) Frederick North Back (midfielder, ends career) Erik Nilsson (midfielder, Degerfors) Robin Staaf (striker, club?) Magnus Kihlberg (midfielder, club?)
rumours: 22-year-old Riku Riski played in ÖSK on loan from Polish Widzew Lodz last season. If he returns to his Polish club or continue in Örebro is not clear. Brunet Hay Pino'm barely made the squad in ÖSK during his loan period in the club and the player will most likely not continue in Orebro next season.
23-year-old Finn Mika Ojala of FC Inter Turku reported by the Finnish media on his way to Örebro. Two goalkeepers have been training with the test ÖSK, 24-year-old Aly Keita from FC Syriac Kerburan who had only one training with the club and the 18-year-old Jacob Rinne from BK Forward.
The 23-year-old defender Martin Rudolfsson from Lunds BK test trained with ÖSK. Patrick Osiako has previously announced that he will leave Mjällby and Örebro have been reported to show an interest in the 25-year-old midfielder.
Anel Raskaj from Halmstad reportedly attracted interest from ÖSK and may be the next address for the 22-year-old?

    * The list need a further revision since this was a job I made around 2 weeks ago

Thanks for the thread and the transfer news. Nothing to add for now.

Finished my dissertation this winter so I might finally have the time to learn some Swedish. Would certainly make following the Allsvenskan easier.

Haha I was just on my way in here to mention this transfer. Well, our probably best defender in IFK at the moment is lost abroad not unexpectedly since he had said earlier he wanted to try his wings in another league. The question was where though and finally he settles for Seattle Sounders. Very interesting choice for Sweden NT merited defender. He´ll do a great job I´m sure. A very steady character. And we thank him for his job here in Göteborg......

    Congrats mate!

Think he'd be better served going to a decent team on the continent rather than to MLS. I think the continental game is better preparation for international play than MLS's more English style of play. Much as I hated to see Almeback leave Orebro last season I thought that was a move that would help both his career and his NT play. Not so sure about this one.

He seems pretty excited to come to the U.S. My guess is he spoke to Erik Friberg and heard good things.

All the Seattle fans over here are quite excited and the talk on the forums suggests they're impressed with our front office's ability to sign such a high caliber player.

Seattle seems like a good organization and I can see why he'd want to make the move. I'm just commenting with an eye towards the overall development of the Swedish NT. Would like to see more players able to play, and comfortable playing, the possession game. Haven't seen much of that in MLS.

Oh, I see what you're saying. Is is safe to assume the MLS is known more for its physical style of play rather than possessive?

It was either going to be AGF Aarhus from the Danish Superliga or Seattle Sounders for Adam Johansson... in the end he chose to sign with Seattle Sounders because AGF seemed more interested in getting a striker, which is true enough, since AGF are mainly looking for wingers and strikers and are not really in need of new defenders at the moment :

    Hi Soccer MIGermany!

Some rumours concerning your club. And let´s take for being rumours at this moment. ÖSK´s brilliant playmaker Nordin Gerzic is under the radar of IFK Göteborg. I´m a bit surprised still since he not long ago signed a 5-year deal with ÖSK. But IFK´s new coach Stahre is propably the one ptutting pressure on Sportive Director Mild getting Nordin. It would be a big loss for Örebro and if I were a Kubaner I would be irritated if he would be sold. But yet again only rumours and I think ÖSK will try very hard not to lose the guy. He is one of the big stars in their roster no doubt.

Häcken has now replaced attacker Ranégie (who went to Malmö last season), with a Honduras international player. 20 year old attacker Padilla is the man.

29 year old Danish keeper is rumoured to be on the radar of Djurgården. He is off course seen as the replacement of the cult figure of Pa Dembo Touray. The Dane is Kasper Jensen out of FC Midtjylland.

We´re not being kind to ÖSK if this was to be true. We already snatched popular goalie Alvbåge from them.

What IFK needs most is a central defender. Jonsson is not very high class according to me. A rather mediocre CF in Allsvenskan.

Örebro now later says that IFK haven´t taken any step towards getting hold of Gerzic though. This is Silly season I guess. Perhaps it is the former ÖSK keeper Alvbåge leaking info.....

Elfsborg´s midfielder Daniel Nordmark might be something for Helsingborg perhaps? Or Jere Uronen from Finnish TPS Åbo. A left defender.

Congrats to AIK Stockholm as they signed Celso Borges, a 23 year old offensive midfielder/forward(?) from Fredrikstad in Norway. It spands to the Summer of 2015. Should be a high class signing I would think.
