Guangzhou Evergrande officially confirmed Bayern Munich player Ivica Olic just signed a three years' deal with Guangzhou, Bayern will recieve a transfer fee of 1.8 millon Euro and Ivica Olic's salary will be 7.5 million EURO per year. Ridiculous that an Uzbekistan team is in the east zone. Firstly defeating the claimed purpose of splitting the AFC into two halves (travel). Now Gamba, Adelaide and probably Pohang have to go to fricken Uzbekistan. So really AFC isn't splitting into 2 halves, east & west. They're going 17 western clubs & 15 eastern clubs.
with Uzbekistan and Aussie team, teams of this group have to travell way a lot. It is really hard group. Anyway, Uzbekistan team has more hard time of travelling 3 times to fricken East Asian nations(and Australlia) while East Asian teams only need 1 time to Uzbekistan. Similar disadvantage often happens for Big East Asisan countries in WCQ when most teams are from West Asia , though.

A much easier method would be to allow Iranian teams into the second round immediately. Or one in the second round and one in the first round. I'm wondering how the Iranians both got first round picks? It had to be done. There are 17 West Asian teams and 15 East Asian teams. How are you going to split that evenly?
Well AFC did give 2+2. As I have understood, that indicates 2 direct birhts with the possibility of 2 more through playoffs. That is the amount that was allocated to Iran in the competition, but with the two Iranian teams facing each other eliminates that possibility, which is why I question it. In draws "protection" rules, in some cases, are applied to serve the cause that certain teams are not facing each other and I feel it should have been the case here. One thing that actually is exclusive to the Iranian teams is that they have to go through two rounds. But hey tough luck. Thats the result from the draw, so shit happens....I guess... *sigh

For future ACL's, or at least the next one, CSL should lose their 0.5 spot and just have 3 places. Give the 0.5 spot to another nation who would like it. Poor form that the 4th CSL team is doing this.

IRAN is GUARANTEED ONE CLUB in the AFC CUP, AND possibly MORE. WHAT. THE. FCUK. is the AFC Cup? Also, they shouldn't have such skewed distribution of clubs.
