I've never been to any of them - never heard of them before this morning - I'm curious whether it will work to bring a group there, including kids, like whether we can get a table big enough, etc.
I'm curious as well re: Bout Time or any other watch parties. Right now my plan would be to go to either Salt Lake Pizza and Pasta or Wing Nutz down 21st, Wing Nutz has some nice TVs and most of the restaurant was there to watch the Seattle game on Wednesday.
I think the only issue might be that Bout Time has a narrow bar setup. It tends to get crowded in the evenings. Unless you get there early it might be difficult to get a big group together. Also, I think (but not sure) that kids are restricted to the patio area outside. Maybe I'm wrong on this.
6.5 hours to go. Not sure if being at work is helping or not. I think I'm extra nervous not knowing the borlave situation until lineups are announced. I'd be fine with Schuler and one other, but not schwingert.
Prediction Time: LA strikes first through Mike douche bag Magee First half ends 1-0 for the Gals About the 60th minute RSL gets one back through scrappy play from our strikers Sabo tucks it away, Espy does all the dirty work though Regulation ends 1-1 RSL dominates the OT but can't find the net. Legs begin to get heavy, all these games in such a short amount of time (along with travel) hits the players as the second half of OT really has open play. Still, as we hit 120', nothing added. Penalties On the 7th kick, a certain Robbie Russell steps up to the spot. If he scores, RSL wins. He tucks it into the bottome left (keepers right) corner and the players mob him... deja vu RSL takes another good chunk of my life away with near heart attacks and future ulcers
Can you imagine if it played out like this?? Only question I have is does Morales get a cheap shop from Hollywood and go out in the first half??
Its a fun atmosphere to watch a game. Nice tv's and beer. They do have big enough area for parties if you get there early enough. Kids are aloud its a sports grill, just like Iggy's but more of a bar atmosphere.
LOL. This what LAG fans were posting on the Sounder's board about their upcoming game with the prior to their last game against them.
I understand that, and should say, "Thank you". Nonetheless, I noted the posts on the Sounder's board at the time and it struck me as funny to see a similar post on our boards. Of course, this time, it's correct!
if anyone wants to watch the eastern conference final and doesnt have FSC http://www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/90685/3/watch-sporting-kc-vs-houston-dynamo.html
Thanks. What you should take from those posts is that everyone knows who the top three teams in the league are: LA, RSL and Seattle. Don't think anyone's surprised at that.
i really really really wish we would have gotten geiger to ref our match, he's done a fantastic job in this houston vs kc game. i just have this horrible feeling that our ref is going to inject himself and make some terrible calls tonight. i just hope we arent on the receiving end of a no lube pounding.
My bad! I even almost wrote "he or she" but then I thought that was a bit wordy, so I went with the odds, which backfired as usual.
No Borchers or Olave for Salt Lake (per @brianstraus). We've already seen Houston win without Davis, but big challenge for RSL tonight vs LA from Grant Wahl
unfortunately, that was the way I felt when I read it. Stranger things have happened though, my hand has a scar for a reason... Stupid last minute goal, and the light bulb that got in the way of my fist pumping
well, its lowered my expectations right now, really just want a good competitive game. its going to take a hell of a fight from the boys to advance. just having those two in the back is sooooo crucial to our success, no offense to schwingert but borlave is second to none in this league.
I'm wondering why Paulo on the wing. Not sure how great he will be at getting back, so I hope he can expose LA for a lack of pace out there.
Noooooooooooo!!! It's okay, we got this. The possession just needs to be on the money all night, though, and the finishing needs to be there so that we can make up for what I feel like is a guaranteed bizarre penalty kick in favor of LA. It will either be bizarre in terms of some insane idiotic defensive play (a la Roy Miller the other night) or bizarre because it was clearly not a penalty but the referee decides to blow one anyway (hopefully not combined with an equally baffling red card).
