Hello all - just coming fresh off a couple of games at the Camp Nou and a couple of people requested a sort of FAQ on how to get tickets, how to get there, etc. This guide will be directed for people coming outside of the country, especially Americans. Tickets There are several outlets for buying tickets. All outlets go for sale at the same time, generally 2-3 weeks before for a league match, somewhat earlier if you are a member or know a member willing to share their Soci number and codigo personal (PIN) with you. This will also get you a discount on tickets. The main outlets are the official club website, ticketmaster.es and ServiCaixa. I ended up using ticketmaster.es, because the official website seemed to have problems accepting American credit cards. Using the official website is beneficial because you have the option of printing your tickets at home - but don't be afraid to use the other two outlets if you need to. Ticketmaster has several locations to pick up your tickets (recoger entradas) - with the easiest being at the FNAC department store right in the middle of Plaça Catalunya, easily accessible by several metro lines. You can also find other locations using the ticketmaster website. If you choose to use ticketmaster, be aware that you will need your passport AND the credit card you used to purchase the tickets when picking them up. They check both. In terms of choosing seats, the club website and ticketmaster both work the same - you're able to view a stadium map and select the exact seats you want. I'm not 100% sure but I think ServiCaixa works the same way too. ServiCaixa machines (different from ServiCaixa ATMs!) are also a good option. They are located all over the city, and you just need the credit card you used to purchase the tickets. The Camp Nou - Getting There The Camp Nou is currently serviced by 2 Metro lines - the Green Line(L3) and the Blue line (L5). The Barcelona Metro trains are labeled by their terminus stations - for example, the Green Line, depending on what direction you're going, will be labeled Zona Universitaria or Trinitat Nova. You'll need to consult the map depending on which part of the city you're coming from - generally, except for the big stations, the side of the station you go into DOES matter - smaller stations have different entrances for different sides of the line. In any case, from the green line, get off at the Les Corts Metro stop and look for the sign that says Sortida - Trav. Les Corts. Follow the street that you come out on, in the direction of the exit, for 3 blocks, and the stadium will appear on your right. For the blue line, get off at the Collblanc metro stop. It's useful to have a small city map here because the streets are tiny and you could get turned around. For me, it's easier to get off at Les Corts, but if you want a shorter walk for taking the tour, this is the way to go. According to the Metro Map, there is a planned line with a stop directly at the Camp Nou. When that is built, we can update the guide. For now - this is how you get there. Metro Notes You only need your ticket to get into the station, not on the way out - however, keep it handy - random security sweeps will come through a train to make sure you aren't a gate hopper. If you don't have it, you're libel to get fined and or clubbed, depending on the security guard! Getting in on Gameday When you reach the stadium, get out your ticket to come up to the gate. The guard will rip a corner off your ticket and admit you to the stadium grounds. Hold on to your ticket. Be warned, after you enter you can't go back outside the grounds, and there is no alcohol allowed. You ARE allowed to bring in food and non alcoholic beverages though! We brought in bocadillos and water. Read your ticket. It should tell you what access to get into the stadium through (typically the access closest to your boca, - the opening where your section is. To get through the access and into the stadium itself, you put your ticket into a scanner at your access. It's pretty straightforward. After you're in, find your boca & enjoy! A Word about the Camp Nou Experience/Tour This is the most crowded tour in Barcelona (yes, moreso than the Sagrada Familia!). Get there early if possible, but if not - make sure not to go on the day of a game or you won't be able to go into the visiting locker room, the seats, player tunnel & other portions of the tour.
Well done, NattyBo! Just one thing about the metro stations with more than one line (no matter how big they are). Even if you use the entrance of, say L3 for example, you can transfer walking underground to the other line without having to get out and find the other entrance, and it's the same if you want to change of side on the same line, so it's no big deal really, you just have to be aware the direction you're heading once you're into the station.
Have you guys thought about just staying in a hostel? The Kabul Hostel in Plaça Reial is fun as hell.

I'm going to be there when they play Mallorca on 30th or 31st. Any idea how tough it'll be to get tickets? The FCB website seems to imply that there are hardly any tickets left. Can I easily get one at the stadium, whether it be from a scalper/tout or at the box office? They're playing Mallorca so I don't think it'll an ultra-popular game but once I land in Barcelona, (the 24th) should I just jam to the stadium to grab a seat? It's just myself so I want to get into the grounds, doesn't matter where I sit. Any info is appreciated.
I don't know the box office hours offhand, but yeah just go to the stadium and buy them there. Tickets tend to free up as the match gets closer and members decide they can't make it and release them. If it was an ultra-popular game then it would probably be better to sit at a computer and hit 'refresh' a lot but for Mallorca it shouldn't be a hassle. Have fun.
You don't even have to go to the stadium - you can go to the FNAC at Plaça Catalunya if it's more convenient to you (you don't HAVE to order ahead online, but you can if you wish).
OK I want to go next month and want to guarantee the tickets only I don't have a credit card, what do you guys recommend? If I use my brother's credit card, can I purchase the tickets in my name? And what website should I use?
I've only bought from the club's websited. I've bought tickets online and printed them up at home, so it wouldn't matter if it's your brother's credit card. How long will you be here for? Which game would you go to? We have to at least get a beer or something while you're in town.
Hey guys...just went to check out the tickets for the Sevilla 10/23 game on the FCB website. They are listing only a few sections available with one off seats scattered around. I would need (want?) 2 seats together. It's similar to what another poster asked earlier, but is it more than likely that more of these are going to free up as the game time approaches or will a 100% sell out be likely and I need to jump on whatever I can right away? Definitely don't want to be left ticketless
Just looking at attendance figures for this tie from the last few years, the Camp Nou never got close to 90k for visiting Sevilla. So it probably won't sell out and there should be lots of member-released tickets in the days leading up to the match. I wouldn't worry about getting tickets right next to each other, just get them in the same section and sit together. Only once did someone actually care about sitting in his correct seat but eventually it worked itself out (my lengthy post about that is here.) I think jf had a similar experience in the clásico manita.
Thanks, man. I must embrace the uncertainty. I almost pulled the trigger on two together that just popped up, but they were nosebleeds (Goal Nord-3). I'm gonna hold out for something better.
Great thread and exactly what I was looking for, wish I had looked for it sooner to forward to my father-in-law (who bought our tickets), but still some extremely helpful information. We'll be attending the Oct 15 game vs. Santander, my kid's already bouncing off the walls.
I see what you mean. Just like Sevilla though, you can likely wait it out for the member-released tickets as this probably won't sell out. If the situation stays the same or you need to buy them right now then I would try getting tickets close enough to each other that at least use the same entrance gate. And THEN just sit with each other anyway. There's a couple sections by a corner flag, each with one available ticket, that look like they'll do the job. NB I've never tried this but IIRC if you don't go in the same entrance gate as your companion you might not even able to meet up once inside the Camp Nou as you will be blocked off and separated.
What we really need is to find a member who is willing to share socio info with trusted members here..makes it easier to get tix in advance..
That would really be great. BTW, VEB, I'd wait a little bit. Hopefully more people will release their seats. It seems strange to have a Mallorca game be so packed.

I am looking to book between 19 -26 Feb for Valencia and A.Madrid as a website will stadium and museum tour for A.Madrid and Valencia are a good team for us at home I am also hoping Barca will play home or a nearby country for me to travel in on 22/02/2012 for champions league match
I am going to bein Barcelona in January, and hoping to go see Barca vs Betis on the website there isn't many seats available, and none seem to be together I guess more will be released closer to the date
