Anyone in here a fan of Breaking bad? My word, this is one of the best shows ever made. The writing & acting is flat out brilliant that it leaves your jaw open. Just finished ep 11 of Season 4, immense.
Totally agree, one of the best for sure. Saw it at first here in German on "arte" btw, which was kinda weird. Germans will know why... Switched then to English, because "Walt" has another German voice, than in "Malcolm in the middle", which I found irritating. Btw I saw the first season in a row on a weekend then, because it was so good that I couldn´t stop watching!
I heard FIFA 12 is drastically different (gameplay-wise) from FIFA 11...might take me a while to start destroying opponents like in previous iterations Of course, first I have to buy it. Maybe next paycheck. Or Christmas.
What you need to be doing is start watching Breaking Bad. Based on your admiration for good writting and storytelling, I think you will absolutely love it. Not to mention it has arguably the best acting in any TV series.
Good pick with Mesrine, great stuff. But if you want something similar but a million times better then look no further than.
@EQ: Looking now the final episode of this season. Btw have you seen the mini episodes in between the seasons? This one is my favourite (it´s a "minisode" and not a deleted scene how the title says): [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-V75LKwLNk&feature=related"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-V75LKwLNk&feature=related[/ame]
I am back from my three day trip to Munich and of course we were on the Wiesn on Sunday in the pavillon of Hacker Pschorr. It was quite fun and we talked to some folks from New Zealand. Their accent was hilarious and it became even more fun after the third Maß. On top of that some information for every tourist. Don't touch someones drinking arm when he anticipates the "GSUFFA!". You could get seriously injured.
Anyone here watch Mad Men? I just started the first season on DVD. It's very well written and interesting as a period-show. I also like the little bit of David-Lynchian weirdness thrown in there.
I'm really looking forward to the 5th season because the flair of the 60s becomes so manifest in the series and Donald Draper is just one son of b****. Also on my watch: "Good Wife" "The Mentalist" and well yes I like NCIS and Dr. House.
Breaking Bad and mad Men don't appeal to me. Doesn't mean that they are badly produced or so, quite the contrary to be honest, but neither series is clicking with me in a sense that I need to see the next episode. With the The Wire this was totally different
How far are you in BB Ducan? The Wire was a masterpiece. Bazi, I'm a fan of Mentalist myself. It doesn't stay true to the main story, which is really my only/main concern about the show even though it's to be expected for a cop show.
Watched about 6-8 episodes (first season) of either BB and Mad Men and I would have had to force myself to continue watching which is for me the sign to stop it
That's what happened to me when I saw the first episodes of Prison Break. I disliked it too much to be able to continue.
I've seen an episode of The Good Wife only once, on a plane. It was pretty good, I need to watch more. I'm a big Josh Charles fan.
Wife and I are huge fans of Good Wife. I didn't want to waste my time on it, but each time it was on in the living room, I found myself watching it and liking it more and more. It is also produced by the Scott brothers... as in Ridley and Tony. They need no introduction.
