Marek, you really need to think about asking the mods to delete that. That's really ignorant, racist, and hateful. Blacks don't vote Democrat because they're stupid, and none of the African-Americans I know "survive" because of free government money. They actually, you know, have jobs and stuff. The black people I work with, as far as I know, pay the same deductable for health insurance I do. I'm pretty sure my next-door neighbor pays her own mortgage just like I do, as well. And also, my son's public school is 39% Hispanic, 27% African-American, 25% non-Hispanic white, and 9% "other"; last time I checked, the education they were all getting was equally "free" for every kid in the school, not just the black ones. Also--the school isn't bilingual; yet somehow the Hispanic kids are in the same classes as the non-Hispanic kids; funny how that works. Finally, the "If even one of the groups above could be reasoned with, and would actually see what the Democrat Party does to them, the fragile identity-bloc coalition that makes up the Democrat Party would collapse on itself" line is unbelievably condescending. Contrary to what you might believe, African-Americans, Hispanics, Gays & Lesbians*, and Women are all actually capable of being reasoned with. You, and the author of this email, on the other hand, I'm not so sure of. I cannot believe there are people in the 21st Century who will pass along garbage like this. *Yes, I'm aware that Kevin DeJan is gay (that's fairly obvious from the text).
You guys realize, don't you, that Marek loves the smell of burning martyr, and since the Guardian got tossed, it seems he decided to self-immolate. In short, the more you pile on, the more he can delude himself into thinking you can't be reasoned with.
There's a part of me that realizes that, but there's another part that thought just maybe marek really believes this is a valid argument--after all, it's making the rounds and apparantly Rush Limbaugh is talking about it. I know I should just roll my eyes and ignore him, but there was a coarseness and rancid, spiteful pettiness to that blogpost/email he thought fit for discussion which just really hit a nerve with me.
Well, in the unlikely event he actually responds to UCLACarlos (or you), we will find out how seriously he takes these "ideas," which are really just button-pushing pieces of idiocy designed to light up the switchboards on rant-radio shows. But if everyone lines up to tell Marek how stupid he is, then he gets to enjoy the delusion that he's standing up in the face of oppression.
He's Polish, so wouldn't he prefer the smell of burning Jews? THAT, my friends, is how you blow up a thread! He brings a knife, I bring a ********ing bazooka!
That's why you can't win with idiots. You criticize, he responds with "Aha! I see I hit a nerve!" You don't criticize, then he's shut those liberals up real good. The intellectually dishonest can never lose.
I think you just summed up a cornerstone of GOP electoral strategy, judging by some of the stupid shit that's been coming out of the mouths of Perry, Bachmann, and other Tea Party favorites.
Here ya go marek, maybe this will make you feel better about yourself... http://maddowblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/08/18/7406441-up-from-slavery-metaphors
If Mr. Warmth had even thought about posting anything akin to that pile of crap that marek just posted, he'd be banned from the forum until Gabriel blows his horn.
Wow marek. Top quality stuff there. You and DamonEsquire should get together and post some time. I'd like to see his innocent meandering stream of consciousness injected with your hateful racist bigotry.
I believe he wouldn't post something like that, but I would not ban him over it either. Anyway, if we were to start banning people for making partisan attacks consisting of ridiculous generalizations about a political party, or for gratuitously accusing a political party or members of a political party of being racists, then a number of posters would have to be banned, not only Marek.
ocuh! seems i made a few of you a little upset seems you did not like the my attempt at livening up this stale thread now that you called me out you can return to your high brow threads about Palin, Bachman and the terrorist Tea Party
Yeaaaaah. Sure bra'. Copying a blog w/ zero comment kinda sorta gives your tacit/not so tacit approval.
Just as I predicted. You get called out on your shit and you declare victory because you ruffled feathers. The weak of the mind is pretty predictable. We didn't like the racism, sure. Also pretty predictable. Post vile, racist shit without commentary, wait for people to understandably get upset, then disavow responsibility. Seriously, grow a pair of balls.
I'm going to stand up for marek here, and finish the story because there's absolutely no way some of this isn't true. Here we go: 1) 22 out of the 193 Democrats in Congress are black - fulfilling the proven historical fact that 11.4% of all slaveholders in the American South were blacks themselves. 2) The current President of the United States is black - fulfilling the historical trend of letting an African-American run the country for four years from 1833-1837 and 1873-1877. Both of those African-American Presidents were Republicans, so if anything, the GOP has had more black Presidents than the Democrats. Silly, stupid voters! Why can't they look at history! 3) The Minuteman organization was founded in 1911 by Democrat and noted Merxicern hunter Robert Byrd of West Virginia. They have maintained their fierce party loyalty to this day. 4) Speaking of Latinos, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus is completely Democratic, and has 21 Representatives and 1 Senator as members. So, of the Democratic Party's 193 Representatives, 10.9% are Latino. Interestingly, the percentage of Latinos in the US is 43.6% (completely true! Go to the US Census Bureau at www.wnd.com), so the Democrats are definitely keeping their votes repressed to keep Latino representation down! 5) As for the gays - we all know that there are more gay Congressional Republicans than Democrats - they just don't flaunt it like assholes! Vote GOP! I think I've got in everything...but on a serious note, African-Americans and Latinos are represented in Congress in the Democratic Party roughly along their current demographic makeup in Congress, but, as this article shows: I can't for the life of me imagine why they vote Democrat.
Byrd was also their drummer until he quit music, forcing Mike Watt and D Boon to replace him with former Klansman George Hurley
Okay, so GOP hatred of Obama can be pretty much chalked up to racism, but what about Obama's disapproval from the rest of the country? I posit that the Democrats' disapproval is based off of unrealistic expectations that President Obama would operate like King Obama. From Jonathan Alter: From Ezra Klein: And Jon Chait: So I guess their question is my question: If you were Obama, what different proposals would you have gotten through Congress? And not in the vague "I would have stood up to Republicans." I mean, what would you have done. Would you have held Aaron-Sorkin style press conferences? Would you have issued a bevy of executive orders? What would you have done?
