If the Genk coaches and managers keep their disfunction going, then hopefully yes. Genk have lost two players due to injury and the manager is leaving the club.

De Bruyne which is by the far their best player is injured and will not play. Also the coach won't leave until september but I think that's good news for you guys because I think he's shit anyway :D

Damn, the most amazing pass by Idan Vered out wide to Eyal Golasa who puts it into the path of Vladimir Dvalishvili to double the lead!

Haifa was dynamite in the first half, but really looked gassed in the 2nd....Injuries have hurt them I think. Still, they are in the drivers seat.

The game is going to overtime. Maccabi Haifa has 5 yellow cards and Genk doesn't have any.

Itzhak Cohen got ejected for a second card in the 109th minute, but Genk couldn't take advantage. In stoppage time after 120 minutes, Genk shot the ball over the goal. They're going to penalty kicks.

Genk shot first and won penalty kicks 4-1 saving Maccabi Haifa's first two attempts. Maccabi Haifa will play in the Europa League Group Stage so the topic title can now be changed.

It was a very poor match all together. Maccabi should have made more of their opportunities, unfortunately the 2 center backs of Genk (Nadson and Joneleit) played a very good game.
And just sad how the defender (name?) let's himself be pushed aside by Kennedy at the 1-0. Just show your teeth, put some pwoer in it to hold your position and it's never a goal.
And those first 2 penalties  I mean both not well placed, not hard, ... Why do you sign up to take a penalty if you shoot it that unconvinced.

Genk is the archrival of my team, but I guess all in all it's good they won for Belgian coefficient. And I definately think Pier Denier (comes from same 3000 people village as me and is truely a nice guy if you meet him in the pub) deserved it. (Denier is the assistant coach who took over the first coach role for this match now that the old coach went for the oilmoney)

Maccabi Haifa will play Schalke 04 of Germany, Steaua Bucuresti of Romania, and AEK Larnaca of Cyprus in Group J. Israel and Cyprus are close in the country coefficients so the head-to-head games matter even if Schalke 04 and Steaua Bucuresti are the top two.

    Schalke 04 3-1 Maccabi Haifa
Maccabi Haifa 5-0 Steaua București (today, Steaua București got two red cards)

Maccabi Haifa is in second with 6 points. Schalke 04 has 7, Steaua București has 2, and AEK Larnaca has 1.

Perhaps they arent the top of the league but when Haifa is on damn they are good. They play really good possession football. Pretty cool they are in 2nd too and they could be Schalke here on the return leg :)

Steaua București 4-2 Maccabi Haifa was the Matchday 4 result. Maccabi Haifa will win the group is they win today at AEK Larnaca (the game is scoreless in the 11th minute) and their last game home to Schalke 04.
