I'm nitpicking here, but the email I got is incredibly hard to read with the dark blue background and black print.
Here is a link direct to the PDF with the information for those of you at work or who simply don't want to watch the promo video everytime you look at the info. http://www.sportingkc.com/sites/default/files/2012_sportingrenewal_guide.pdf I'll be waiting until the very last possible moment next season to renew. $260 for a Members Stand ticket in 2012 is $13 a game. No arguments from me, I thought it might go up...
I know, it just didn't make sense to have those colors by default. Fixed your URL, for some reason it had Bigsoccer in front of it. 20 tickets again, wonder if we'll keep the 17 home games.
Is the "2012 Service Fee & Village West Tax" a flat per seat fee of $2 per seat per game? Both the East Stand and East Stand Midfield have the $2 per game per seat charge. Could someone in the Member's stand post what you see? Frankly, I'm very torn about renewing my East Stand, "Sol y Sombra" tickets. It's just been so hot. Then, factoring in all the give-aways (I can only imagine that these will be less generous next year) and the other opportunities (supplier/vendor offers) I've had to go, I have trouble pulling the trigger. I'm considering going to the Member's stand next year, but I've not yet made it down there for a game, so I don't really have a good benchmark as to how it compares to my current seats. I can imagine them to be very nice for taking a kiddo, as one can retreat inside to some AC and the seats are not "assigned". Rain coverage won't be as good though. Ugh... I'm just not ready to decide yet.
I checked on ticketmaster.com and for the season total (in the Members stand-where my tickets are now) there is an apparent $40 village west tax & service fee which coupled with the $260 season ticket price brings the grand total to $300, If I read everything correctly.
Can't comment on the fees - I can't be bothered logging in. The members stand is nice with a kid because of the members club and frankly not having an assigned seat makes it easy to move if you get some loud mouth yelling about drinking seamen next to you ..... Raid coverage isn't going to be great, but then depending on the way the wind is blowing pretty well anywhere can get wet. It is too early to make decisions -- Tickets are not had to come by on the gray market, we have a thread here, twitter and facebook making the trade free and often cheaper than face. I flog my extras for $10-$12. If push comes to shove I can save money over the season ticket so I am really only buying convenience. if the free tickets are still in play then it is almost a no brainer for me not to buy ... especially with a kid due a few short weeks before the season. Basically it depends on where the extra ABC class tickets are going.

17 was this season's MLS season amount of home games. Aren't we going to 18 next year with Montreal on board? I would assume another friendly with a EPL team on preseason. Don't know what the other would be?
That's not something you will know until next season. It could be a friendly, it could be the CCL, it could be a USOC match, or it could be saved for the players or it could be a WCQ.
Unlikely, Garber has said we're not going to have a balanced schedule next year. 17 games and 3 special games, same as this year.
RE INCENTIVE PLAN. does anyone else find the "up to" language a little counterintuitive? I can refer one friend who buys a season ticket and get my 15% discount, or I can refer four friends who all buy a season ticket, and my discount remains at 15%. btw, certianly not complaining. I'll take the 15%. You guys may be way more popular than I am, and have a bevy of friends who are already wanting to purchase.
I hadn't heard that Garber said that. I just assumed we'd be going to 18 home games like most every other league.
I have the same thing. I have at least one friend who's going in with Member's Stand STs next season.
He basically said at MLS Cup last year I believe that he doesn't see the league expanding their schedule beyond 34.
"Refer up to four new full season ticket accounts and receive 15% credit from the total purchase on the new tickets" I believe you receive 15% of the total *they* pay for their tickets.
Well, yeah, but the initial question was about the amount being the same for 1-4 tickets and I don't think that's accurate. If you refer 4 people I think you get 15% of the total they spend on their tickets.
That does seem to be pretty close to the full capacity of our soccer calendar. We could do round robin intra-division and single game inter-division, and that would bring it all the way back to 27 games for teams in the east, but I can't see the owners going for that because they want to keep their stadiums programmed non-stop.
I hate to say this, but I think we need to get used to mid-week fixtures. Any slack in the schedule the teams are going to want to fill with something to keep the doors open and generating revenue.
That'd be stupid in the long run of doing what this team has said they want to do, win trophies. And I'd put good money on that not happening. There's not much more space to add more games. And we're never going to have a 2 game a week league.
Which is another issue. Assuming you're correct, it could mean that my account will be owed "credit" (SKC's words, not mine) in excess of my current season ticket expense. Its very possible that 15% of the combined 'X' is greater than the current cost of my season tickets. Anyone know anybody looking to purchase a suite next season...? Ha, if so, please PM me. My point is, Im glad theyre doing it, but the referral incentive is worded terribly. Coughing up friends' personal contact info may kick it out of the relm of legal gratuity, thus constituting words of contract binding on SKC. The only fine print on the offer, says that credit will be applied after payment has been made in full. Nothing else to explain.
