Sorry for the OT but quick question, why are threads closed on this forum only to open an identical one?

Because when a thread becomes to long it's not good for the database that maintains this website. So it's recommended that when threads get a certain length they are closed and new ones made.

replying about kameni, if there is a keeper worse then doni then its definetly kameni.
He is unreliable, and makes so many blunders. this is disaster awaiting to happen.

Kameni seems like Doni 2.0 to me. I don't want to gamble on him. Personally for the keeper I wanted Viviano. The only role remaining were I still feel most comfortable with an Italian.

Anyhow Sabatini had some interesting things to say about Mirko Vucinic and Juventus:

"The latest news is that until noon tomorrow the price of Mirko Vucinic is the usual. Afterwards it will rise. It's the player that would like to leave, but for us he can stay without problems. Regardless the possibility to listen to offers we've given, only that Juve have never stepped forward with an offer. If they voices of their interest are false there are no problems. However if they are true then Juve needs to know that Roma is not a club with a low profile. The 3 million euros asked for in contract we could easily handle if we are decided on making the player happy. Furthermore my experience let's me say that in football the wind turns quickly. Today Roma starts training and if Mirko should start with one of his goals I would not be surprised if Luis Enrique asked me to bind him to club."

The shots at a Juve are the most telling bit. Sabatini is letting them know (and others know) that the tricks they use to pull on Rosella and Prade are not going to work anymore. They can try and make deals with the players promising more money in order to get the player to push for an exit, but Roma will match the offer or simply refuse the transfer and force the player to honor their contract.

    Bellow is the original blurb:

I've been hearing Bojan will cost us 12 million with an option for Barca to buy him back next season for 11 million. Which would make it a loan where we paid one million. Afterwards the next season he would cost them 15 million.

I really dislike this deal, I don't even know if I think Bojan will do well in Serie A. I'm trying to be optimistic and wait until the end of August to make my judgement but I'm very concerned. None of the players linked to us convince me completely. Worse of all the caliber of names has degraded from Buffon to Kamani (who some says is 90% likely to join us).

I think the terrible targets are ones luis enrique and de la pena are putting, while sabatini's choices are better.
bojan, kameni are enrique's group choices.

Barcelona won't buy Bojan back, I'm sure of it. They have big money problems, and I can only see them buying him back if he lights the world on fire, which he won't(not to say he won't be good).

for christ sakes, there are like at least 15 goalkeepers in italy better then kameni.

if they do not want to spend big on a keeper. just promote curci then, or keep julio sergio...
I would even prefer we kept doni over kameni.

Kameni is going to be a really bad choice... Only because he is a cheaper option?

He won't.. Seen plenty of Espanyol matches where I thought oh dear. One minute he gets to unstoppable shots and the next minute some easy shot goes past him.

Ragnaroz, man just because we will sign him doesnt mean we need to be biased.
we all support he ends up dino zoff, he will be our keeper and he hasnt done anything bad to me. but we should give realistic opinions.

this is simply disaster of a choice

I really hope we don't sign Kemani, he will take up a non-EU spot and really is not that good... What happened to Rafael from Santos? I'd rather take a risk with him.

Unlike real madrid, barca has never purchased a contract with a buy back clause and that trend will continue. Not worried at all.

But I'm not supportive just because we're signing him. I honestly like him. He's incredibly agile and can catch almost any ball. His problem is of a mental nature, and that can always be remedied. Physically, he's no worse, if not even better than Stekelenburg, so if you sort out his mental issues, you get a top goalkeeper for 2-3 millions. Sure, I like Stekelenburg as well, but if we aren't gonna get him anyway, there's no need to jynx Kameni before seeing him even once on our goal.

He only played for the B team with that deal.

Sorry let me reword they have never resigned anybody that had a place in their first team.

Also, I will vomit and yell at Sabatini if Kameni is our keeper next season. First off you lose him for a month because of the AFC during the season. That would be dumb. I just hope this is so Ajax lowers their price.

Honestly, Bojan will probably have to score 30 goals or so for Barca to bring him back. It isn't going to happen. They can attract the best strikers in the world. If they are in desperate need of a striker, next season, they will be linked to a world class player.

I was hoping for Stekelenburg, but.. Kameni is not that bad you know, he's better than the goalkeepers we have at this moment.

Kameni, Bojan, Lamela and Jose Angel.

A good goalkeeper and 3 youngsters without Serie A experience.
I don't know what to think right now, we will have to wait for our judgement.

I can't imagine Barcelona will ever have a place for Bojan. You would think a youth player who has scored over 800 youth team goals would be given one.

With Barcelona's front three of Villa-Messi-Pedro and soon Sanchez. Where does Bojan fit? If you slot in Sanchez, Pedro becomes a sub. If Bojan comes back then Bojan becomes another sub, which means Pedro is likely available.

I watched Bojan at Barcelona, the kid was never given a chance, not the way that Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol and Busquets were. Barcelona "prides" themselves on growing from within, but aside from Busquets and Pedro, there are more players that leave Barcelona because they are not given an opportunity, than ones that stay and wait. Giovani left because of wages, but at the time Henry, Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Messi had the front three on lock. In more recent times players like Jonathan Soriano (top scorer in Liga Adelente for Barca's B team, Mauro Icardi and a plethora of other players all want out because they realize that there career will go no where at Barcelona. I almost feel bad for Ibrahim Afellay, he had such a promising career ahead of him and now he's stuck fighting for a place with Busquets, Mascherano, Xavi, Iniesta and soon Cesc, not to mention Thiago another Barca B stand-out.

I like the deal at buy for 12 million and buy back for 11 million. It's a glorified loan. I expect and hope that Bojan will be given a chance because he is, as some have said, Luis' boy.

    ------

As for Kameni. I will impale my eyes if we have him in net, after spending big on Angel, Bojan and Lamela.

I think what you should think is that our squad's average age is over 30 and it's time to re-tool, this is the first step to a comprehensive make-over.
