Hey! I spend a lot of time on the 'Player' forum as I want as much help as I can get before I go for my tryout (JFL team Matsumoto Yamaga as well as Niigata Albirex). I'm a Japanese speaker who taught myself all the way to JLPT Level 2 and owe it all to simply reading and watching Japanese CONSTANTLY.

At the moment, I want more reading material having to do with Japanese Football. As I'm too lazy to search for random articles, I thought I could practice reading as well as translating and, in turn, help others.

So if anyone has anything they'd like translated I'm free to help. I don't really want to translate long videos or two page long articles, but if it's really interesting to me I can get it done really fast.

    Anybody need translation help?

You can help by translating some parts of articles from Nikkan and Yahoo, since many of us can't read japanese :D

Never really thought about making a site before for this, haha. I guess it could work, what's the best way to go about this?

I would read this thread before you attempt something like this

    About halfway down it starts.

If you want to read stuff about Japanese football I suggest going to 2ch.

If you ignore the shite about Koreans, every couple of posts, there are actually some interesting conversations about football.

Whoa, that looks rough. I'm not too sure who the guy who started that is but there seems to be something that went down. Maybe it's not such a good idea, haha.

Honestly, all I was planning on doing was, in this thread (or maybe make one more devoted just to it) allow people to post articles they'd like translated and I can do it for them. I really don't have enough free time to translate a multitude of articles as I, myself, am still training to play in Japan, haha.

Perhaps you can give us tips on how to learn Japanese ourselves. ;)

Sure! The best way is to just immerse yourself with Japanese 24/7, even if you're not actively learning (radio in the ears, music, etc.) It really just comes down to time spent after that.

Edit: I'm looking through Nikkan to find something to translate, but I can't pick out anything good. What should I be going for?

Well you can look at those transfer topics in this forum. Where people would post a link to the article telling us about some player who is likely to be transfered. It is all in Japanese so most of us are clueless about it

Also Khengi, do you have msn/facebook so I can add you?
