Welcome my child and thank you for getting rid of those tired braids Well from all reports it sounds like this boy has an excellent head on his shoulders (ala Higuain and Marcelo) which gives me great hope he will be able to fulfill his much touted potential here in Madrid despite our sometimes paralyzing, pressure cooker atmosphere for players. If he pans out anywhere near the level people are hyping him up to be we've unearthed a real gem of a CB (courtesy of Zizzou) for a bargain price so good luck and best wishes for many, many years of success here at our beloved Club Raphael!
Welcome to the Club Varane. I hope you can fulfill your potential. Eitherway, this deal has alot of upsides and I hope he can grow with the club.
Welcome to the greatest club on the planet, hope you perform and grow as well as our other astute young singings have.
Well Mourinho wanted him (mainly Zidane), so I'm sure he will. Mourinho seems to "pick out/pick on" those whom he didn't request or had no input in bringing.
Hopefully thats the case, even though Santon was his own discovery as well but he seemed to completely ignore him in his second season. Such a moody guy, that Mourinho Very exciting player, I rate him very highly as I rarely see his sort of player. Very elegant, comfortable on the ball, and commanding. I would say a bit like Hummels.
is that really his nickname? funny story.. I actually manually scouted this dude on Football Manager last year. Bought him "for the future." Hope he does well and will keep track of his progress.
This purchase was in the area that we needed the MOST help. I said this at the end of last season. During a Barca game, i remember both Arbeloa and Albiol playing as RB/CB. This with absolutely ZERO injuries to the start players (Ramos, Carvahlo, Pepe) and a year younger Carvahlo than would be there next year. It was a desparate area of need. In fact, Albiol played at least twice in the classicos, if not more. I'm not an Albiol hater and i appreciate ARbeloa, but i just don't believe that they are in the same class as Barca players or should even be on the pitch when Madrid plays a team as tough as Barca. Arbeloa was incredible last year, so i don't want to take anything away from him. But with Ramos in there, I think the team is able to retain possession better and attack with some lethality. Verane also fits in with the MO of this organization since Mou's arrival. Buy up and comers with incredible potential at value oriented prices. BTW, if he sucks at football, perhaps he can help the bball team out. Kid towers over perez. I wouldn't give up on Canales. In my opinion he is an incredible talent that will eventually fit into this team and be a star, if the organization is smart enough to hold on to him. Just because he didn't become a starter in his teens for Madrid, doesn't mean he won't be a future star at Madrid.
Oh btw... Varane, not Verane; his welcome video on youtube --check out the top comment : " welcome to the bench here we have one world best benchers were u can sit between kaka and benzema make ur self at home ^^" Bwahaha
Does he move in slow motion lik Garay? Or does he have a bit of pace to his this bloke?.. yes, defending isn't all about speed and pace, I'm just asking. Good signing I guess. 10me on a 18yr old who could turn out something special > 10me euro on a 24yr old who doesn't have the coach's confidence.
Jeez ruiz...... wear a proper shirt on your big day. People say he's got a good head on his shoulders. He obviously has the talent otherwise our scouts (read Zizou) wouldn't have pushed his signing. If he can show some of that mature mentality he supposedly possesses he will surely succeed here. Somebody buy this guy a nice suit. (smh) edit: As for what we call him, Rafa.
