My Bayern shirt arrived this morning and all I can say is, awesome.

It is from the current 2010/11 season, so has the "old" techfit webbing on it. But it doesn't have the slightly annoying grip strip along the bottom hem of the shirt, which I think is more comfortable.

Its a size large, but actually fits a lot like a size small Nike replica (although that is all dependant on where in the world the Nike shirt was made). The commemorative box is very nice, with the pendant.

Thats about it tbh. I am sure if anyone is after one you can search around on the net and find one at a reasonable price. Otherwise the new 2011/12 Bayern Techfit top is on sale in the Bayern Munich online store for 119.95 euros. These are only size large though.

Hi everyone, I stumbled across this discussion after hours of Googling for information on where to find like minded people who also collect TechFit tops- it would seem I've found the perfect place!

I have the France, Spain and Germany tops from last year's World Cup (Commerative boxsets with Techfit shirts and 1986 tops), in addition to the Liverpool home and new Argentina one. Have to say, I disagree with Shadow Knight about the plastic grip at the bottom of the new TechFit's, I've found it to be a much needed addition for stopping the shirt from riding up (that said, I do have a small frame so haven't had any problems with it when taking the Medium sized top off!).

For anyone interested, classicfootballshirts.co.uk are now selling the 2010 France Away long sleeve Techfit shirt for the ridiculous price of £39.99! I've ordered mine already and am eagerly anticipating my first long sleeve addition to my collection.

Also, subsidesports.com mentioned on Facebook the other day that they are hoping to have the new Bayern tops in TechFit in a few weeks. I've emailed them already to see whether this means it will be available in other sizes than Large, and also what price as I'm hoping this will mean it's cheaper than the Bayern online store!

    Welcome Furey.

Got a nice collection there. I got the France top but it is missing the outer sleeve with the handle on it, that goes round the box. I do have a mint Bayern Munich top that arrived yesterday though (as you can probably tell from my previous post).
Ah. The plastic strip. I'm not big at all, yet I still struggle to get my Lyon and Argentina tops off at the end of the day. I think it is an unnecessary addition, as the old TechFit tops seem to fit fine without it, but each to their own. I have actually found that with the strip I does seem to rise up on its own, where as the France world cup top doesn't. Weird.

Thanks for posting about cfs. I use them a lot to pick up the odd gem. I was actually on there this morning but didn't notice anything. I ordered one as well. That was real gentlemanly of you to post the link.

I think the Bayern Munich 2011/12 home shirts are only available in size Large (for now hopefully). It is only 128.95 Euros, plus because (assuming your based either in the UK or Europe) you don't have to pay customs. Screw you HMRC :p
Large in TechFit isn't that bad though. My Bayern top is exactly the same size as my 2011 Urawa Red Diamonds home and away tops (size small). I reckon you'll be ok with the Large.

The new 11/12 Liverpool away kit did have a player issue TechFit version on sale not too long ago. It did not have the X-webbing like most adidas sponsored teams have though.

Even though I don't much like either Liverpool or Chelsea, it seems both teams have forgone the the power webbing on their TechFit shirts. I maybe wrong though as I do not and would not own either of their shirts ;)

I seen an earlier in which someone suggested the only difference between Medium and Large TechFit tops is the length. Shadow Knight, as someone who has one of each, can you confirm this?

I'd also be interested to know people's thoughts on the redesigned PowerWEB on the new tops. Personally, I preferred the old version as i think it helped with posture, but I did find the 'front' webbing to be a little redundant.

I don't understand why the Adidas have forgone PowerWeb on the Chelsea and Liverpool tops. As I mentioned yesterday, I have the Liverpool top in TechFit and must say that without the PowerWEB it isn't at the top of my 'must wear' list.

I got size M and L, it's day and night, the M size fit perfect to me, the L size fit loose to me. But as I said it depends to "how you look"... I'll make some pictures...

First off, the idea that has been discussed a bit is that Medium TechFit = Small Climacool, so Large should = Medium Climacool. I didn't really notice much of a length change, just a bit more fabric (armpit to armpit) if you know what I mean.

The power webbing is probably doing the same job as before. The webbing on the front does look a bit random and I am not sure how/which muscle that was giving support to, or whether it was just an aesthetic design feature.

Why Adidas decided against the power webbing for Chelsea and Liverpool is probably again a design feature. Possibly something to do with the Prem, or maybe they felt it would detract from the shirt.

I’m sorry I would have got this up soon, but I had to go out while I was typing. As Greggy says, Large is just a bit baggy-er really. The sleeves won’t be as tight and you really just have a bigger chest size. Not real change in length, well nothing obvious really.
If you want a Bayern Munich TechFit top get yourself one. We can only give our personally opinions and thoughts. I think if you buy and wear size Medium TechFit you will be perfectly fine wearing a size Large.

Here’s the link to the Bayern Munich website, which is for the new TechFit Home shirt: http://shop.fcbayern.de/en/8/41/-fc-bayern-Home_Shirt_Techfit_Limited_Edition--/ Wait and see what Subside say on price but I suspect it may be cheaper to get it direct from Bayern. It is 129.90 Euro’s or £113.79 (that is including p+p)

France top from Classic Football Shirts arrived today.

Not really much difference between a long sleeve TechFit and short sleeve, apart from the obvious. I find the away top more comfortable than the home though. Not sure why. Maybe it has something to do with the collar
Anyway a very nice shirt. I really like the pin stripes. The badge, unlike the boxed home shirt, is heat applied. The Adidas logo and stripes are the same, as usual. It came in a very useful, resealable, Adidas zip bag, if anyone cares.

As you can see the difference is light but when I wear he size M I can feel the powerweb stripes at the back and at the side.

The arms ar loose in size L while it's tight fit in size M.

It sure that I could wear size L but there would be no interest of having a techfit if it's not tight fit... In my opinion.

Thanks for the pictures, Greggy! Have to say, i think i agree with you about the TechFit having to be tight otherwise you don't get the performance benefits of the top- which is the main reason I pay the extra money for.

I'm still waiting on a reply from Subside regarding sizes of the Bayern tops that they're hoping to get in stock but will let you all know as soon as I've heard.

Shadow Knight, my France away also arrived yesterday. I am very impressed with it! That said, it feels just a little looser than, say, the Germany home top that uses the same template. I know what you're saying about it fitting better than the France home though. I often find the Webbing digs in under my arms.

Well that pretty much shows the differences perfectly. Cheers for that Greggy.

My personal preference is to have it slightly loose. If, like you, I wanted the full effects of the power webbing I would buy small but I don't like skin tight clothes.

Tell you what though, played some five-a-side Monday in my Argentina TechFit. I could feel the power webbing between my shoulder blades. But yesterday and today I feel like someone has kicked me in the lower back :( I doubt whether a tighter fitting top would have helped.

Edit: I wouldn't know about the German home shirt fit as I haven't got it. But the France Away fits well and is very comfortable.

Good question. I have got to be honest and say I don't know. I guess they won't only due to the fact they didn't for the 2010/11 season. I am sure if anyone finds anything regarding your question we will post it up.

I'm affraid they won't... Adidas shows new techfit models for France, England, Germany, Italy... And still nothing for Spain...

BTW the new Marseille home and away are available in techfit:

The away shirt in techfit is wonderful!

If I could get hold of that without betclic on the front I would get one. I don't like betting and for me the sponsor ruins the top. Just as a side note the Marseille home top is the 2011 Argentina template.

I agree with the sponsor... will be hard to find one without sponsor...

About the template, it's the same for 99% of adidas shirts this season.

If only they would sell the techfit version of Germany away shirt. I would buy it instantly. A bit weird that Madrid don't have techfit

I do really like that Marseille away kit! I know what Shadow Knight is referring to with the Home kit using the Argentina kit though- everything about it is the same bar the pattern.

It'll be a shame if Adidas don't release a TechFit variant of the Real Madrid kit. There was a leaked picture not so long ago that shows it uses this new template, so clearly it must be due to the fact they'd rather not have it than a limitation of the design!

Very true. Maybe the players don't want to wear TechFit. Maybe it is a stance by the club saying all their players will wear Formotion, making them equals on the field, or something. Who knows.

On the Bayern front, the item listing at their online store says "just available in size L". Also no shirt printing. So it comes back to how much you like/want one and whether Subside and give it to you for a better price. And also whether you are ok with a Large.
Talking of TechFit pricing from clubs. AC Milan still want 150 Euros for the 2010/11 shirt, they only have XL AND They want you to pay 35.95 Euros p+p to the UK/Europe. Their trying to take us for mugs
