Before 2005 The Crew were one of the best supported teams in the league. Something happened. I'm not sure what happened but the Attendance was never the same. What Happened in your view and what could the Hunts do to bring back the crew to where it was off the field before 2005?

I think one way is to have a once a month heavy campaigned $1 beer night.

I think the emphasis is on heavy campaigned. Burying it on your website is hardly going to bring people in who don't go to your website.

Build a time machine, never hire Jim Smith or Nee, and hope for the best.

Let me give you the $.10 version - when you hire a GM who used to work @ WWF, and a college coach in way over his head, and let them completely destroy your roster, to the point it takes 4 seasons to rebuild, you kill off a lot of the fanbase. They never really came back.

As someone who's brought someone with their two sets of season tickets: new coach or just tactics. I don't pay limited funds for one forward to try his best to hold it up, often unsuccessfully, or better crossing because, again, our wingers have had enough time to practice not blowing it over or into a defenders balls.

I'm tired. The Cup in 08 helped me forget all this for a whille, but now it's clear I haven't gotten past Nee's years.

costs me $5 less to park for Jackets games. Lets fix that. I park on Oakland and walk due to this. Others just don't show.

And frankly, I'm tired of threads like this. It's not much my job to sit and thing of ways to boost attendence. They've have well over a decade to work more on this, so I've lost my faith in the fact that they can do it.

It will be other fans that do it if anything.

Yeah, but posts like this are part of the problem.... not part of the solution.

The state charges $5 for the fair. I think we can safely assume that most, if not all, of the other parking money goes to the Crew FO. Why not shift costs around some? Lower parking by $3-$4, raise the costs of tickets by $1, raise the cost of Crew jerseys by $3, etc.

Obviously not those same numbers and items, but the same concept.

I agree, or assume the person will spend money whilst in the stadium on concessions.

What about this marketing guru they hired from the Eagles before last season started?

    What has that guy done?

Pleeease give me 1 example, because it looks like declining attendance and the same sorry old "work hard play harder" retreads to me.

And if you don't like my responses then maybe you could ignore them? But there's already a thread on this topic still on the front page. A little hard to ignore...

Come back anytime. And publically talking about rep, positive or neg is not classy.

But someone once told me: you know, invalid... namedropping is never classy, either. Do you know who told me that? My friend Carl Weathers.
