It's not the coach, it's the managers/owners. Things really need to change there, and maybe turning Barcelona into a company owned by shareholders might be the next step if continued miscues in the dirigencia continue. Any thoughts?

because aguinaga isn't gonna be the savior. he's gonna leave with a boot to his ass like Insua and the other rack of coaches that have the last 14 years.

It's sad to see so much pessimism. I'd really like to see Aguinaga coach the NT at some point in the future, so I hope Barcelona does well under his leadership.

1-1 tie today vs. Independiente. I heard Aguinaga was red carded, and Perlaza was too?

This is Aguinaga's first home game...how did the team look?

The difference between the Barcelona of Insua and Aguinaga is night and Day.

Its amazing what this kid Bryan de la Torre is doing. Probably the best youth player of the tournament.

I agree, Bryan De La Torre is one of the best upcoming young guys and stands out a lot in the ecua league. In all honesty, for the first time i can say that the 3 juvenile players that Barcelona has are quality: Cristian Cruz, Dennis Quinonez, and Bryan De La Torre are all great players. That was something Barcelona had lacked since forever. And I love how Aguinaga is one of the few coaches in the tournament that says "f*ck it" and plays all three of them at the same time if he wants to.

a loss, but there is no doubt that we are playing a hell of alot better than with Insua.
D.Quito wasn't any better during the 90mins if we had had an Uquillas type player we could of won this game.

I don't think Ibarra was all the spectacular before, but really the problem is, who else could play that position? Would of been awesome if Cruz had been RB instead of leftie, that kid has potential, and we already have Nazareno in that position.

Bieler is garbage. No european club was that stupid to buy him. Enough said. He couldn't even hack it in our league, Crying like a little bitch. All that shit like 1000 goals in Ecuador..Not happening down here. mamita calderon is the same player he was when he was at Cuenca. Good, That's it..Luis bolanos failed because he's not a professional. Didn't he get caught drinking and driving drunk when Barcelona was in Quito? Yeah, Real Nice.. Footballers fail in big clubs because they can't handle it. It happens in every club in the World. Look at Jose Valencia. That kid has played in some Big Club and against top quality footballers yet Liga has him on the Bench. He must of been out of his mind coming back to ecuador.

so your saying because Bieler sucks in the argentine league that he is a worthless player? that's insane. Bieler didn't only score his goal in the ecuadorian league. To my recollection he played Copa Libertadores, Recopa and Copa Sudamericana against top club teams from other south american countries. It's ridiculous to say he's garbage. Are you gonna say Hernan Barcos is garbage too?

jose valencia was playing division 3 ball for like 2 years in germany or something. not impressive. i never saw him play in willem or NEC but he's average at best. Definitely not better than Ambrossi at all. I have not been impressive with one game that guys played.

YUUUPPPP..He's worthless to Racing, Worthless to any European club scout and I'm not even going to talk about the national team. He maybe a GOD in ecuador but down here, He's been worthless. Remember what he said? Everyone in Ecuador got their Panties all twated. Eh didn't even reached 1/4 of goals he thought.

So has other argentines in south America tournaments playing for other clubs. How many of those goals were scored outside Quito? EXACTLY.. All of sudden Barcos beat three players in Quito after the players are dead tired and all of sudden he a great footballer? I don't think so. Even ULDC looks like a 20 year old after playing 70 minutes in Quito..ALTITUDE..and don't come with that shit saying "Antes nos goleaban" bullshit because in 30+ years, i have never witness Goleadas as a normal scoreline when a visting team went to quito especailly clubs from the conosur. Go tell that crap to someone who doesn't know your futbol.

Which game was that? he's only played 3 games at best. In three games you'll see the potential..lol....

Barcelona needs to get with the program. Its shcoks me that Alfarito Moreno is producing good footballers and Barcelona is not benefiting from it. Alfarito is a Die hard Barcelonista.
For the love of God, GANCHOSO came out of his school so has the 2 ecuas in River Plate.

wow, did argentinefutbol bring up altitude? i'd never think you'd do that of all the futbol "scholars". so i guess we went to our last few world cups because of Quito's altitude. Ecuadorian futbol has remained the same in the last 30 years, we were wrong all along...

Come on. Are you that daft to say the Altitude has nothing to do with it? I remember the 1994 qualifiers being played in Guayaquil and how about every qualifier before that? Hey, whatever got to you where you are right now is fine with me. Take advantage of what ecuador has to offer.but don't come to me with that the Altitude has nothing to do with it. The Altitude "was" and always will be part of liga/seleccion success. Hey, But don't take it from me! Ask your own countrymen like the Emelecista and barcelonaista about the altitude and see what they say.. I've been to Quito 4 times in my life and stayed in Ibarra for 3 weeks one summer. And hell yes, you feel the altitude and it sucks ASS!!!
