Reporting 2,049 for Rochester @ Richmond last night. An improvement of approx. 400 over their game hosting Orlando City.

I was at the Richmond game last night. Crowd of 2,049 was pretty good for a Friday night before the local schools go on spring break. Weather was a bit cold and windy out there as well.

IIRC they broke 6k on one night, a one-off promotion with a lot of free tickets. Don't think they ever broke/came close to breaking even 5k again.

I hear it was much better than RPPR and PRU attendances, Sevilla crowd is still limited by a small stadium size. Capacity can't be over 1,000. The mayor as been having trouble getting the permits for the new stadium.

*Edit: Sevilla Stadium has a capacity of around 2,000

Watching the Dutch Lions. They do not use the visitor side of the stadium (only 4 people there), but looking down at the home stands, there's a fairly good crowd. It looks about the size of your typical Florida high school stadium, which would hold about 4,000 per side. No idea what numbers are.

It was a decent crowd but tons of people left at half time. The ref blew the whistle and tons of people jumped up and headed for the exit. It was windy, cold and rained pretty much the whole game.

They visitor side is supposed to be for the away fans but all the Battery supporters sat on the home side.

Last year the Dutch Lions supporters group used the visitor side. I'm pretty sure those 4 people were what is left of our supporters group. They came over and sat on the home side after a while. There are bleachers behind the goal but no one is allowed to sit there.

I saw a few people wearing Battery gear. Even though they were mixed in with us DDL supporters it was great to see away fans. In the PDL we never had visitors though I never expected there to be any.

I thought it was a good turnout given the weather and the fact that games are streamed on the internet.

Dayton seems low. All reports were that there were a lot more ppl there. Well maybe they will grow into it.

As for Charlotte, didn't they have a tornado yesterday? My question for that one is, there are 854 crazies in Charlotte that come to soccer games in tornadoes? That's dedication! :D

Big boss Mike Mossel said that he was pleased with the ''over 1000 fans that came out to see the team''

The headline for the local paper said about 1,300 people attended. Tons of people left at halftime if that means anything. I thought it was a good crowd given the weather. Now we just need to work on some noise, its pretty quiet in the stands unless someone scores.

Any plans on building a cheap and small SSS ? Because all these pointyball lines make my eyes bleed

They talked about it in the press conference when they announced the club would move to the USL Pro. I think its still a ways away but it sounds like they do want one at some point.

Yeah the lines are bad. Our goalkeeper even ran outside the box while holding the ball last night! They don't have multiple lines like that in the Netherlands lol.

The high school stadium is good for right now. Its a nice area and easy to get to but a SSS would be nice!

Perhaps a pop-up stadium for Dayton as well?

Read somewhere else that there were more people in the sevilla vs. blues game than in the river vs. sevilla game.

That isn't saying much, but at least its better than nothing.

There was quite a buzz in their paper and online social media going into the match. but that is a great crowd.

Like you said the real test is going to be six to eight weeks from now.

And Sevilla was playing in there "home' stadium. Im sure the move for River and PR U has affected attendance

Richmond needs a little luck.. opening night against Orlando was played with clear skies and intermittent sleet!, the second game, we were going almost head to head witht he Final Four, which had a Richmond team in it for the first time ever, then Friday night, which was our best crowd of the season it was cold and very windy.. thankfully... no storms though. And next week we finish our home stand and the Saturday before Easter against our other big rivals Charleston. Its hard to tell if things are really up, down are about the same, we haven't had a "normal" game yet. BTW.. there were nore fans at the Kickers Reserves v James Madison U game yesterday then there were in the Puerto Rico game that drew 200. Not that the Kickers charged admission.. but still...

I wonder why the USL website doesn't have attendances for either game. As far as I'm concerned, those are the official numbers, and I'm not going to be able to produce anything like meaningful information if they don't post that info.

I'll hold off for a few days on posting anything to see if the league fixes this. But if it doesn't, well, USL-PRO -- "new name, same old USL-2".

Antigua having 6000 for even one game is huge. This is an island of around 87,000 people on the entire island, in a city of around 31,000 people. Congratulations to the Barracuda.
