Re: Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] Not sure where else to post this, but I just saw in on the RSL website concerning tickets for the final. http://www.realsaltlake.com/CCL_Final#node-7966
Re: Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] That. Was. Awesome. You have this grasp of the English language that I can never hope to have.
Re: Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] Very reasonable pricing - even more so for the season ticket holders! And the substantialy higher game day prices should drive more people to purchase early and guarantee the sellout. Any season ticket holders have unclaimed extra tickets yet? Preferably not supporters section (I love you guys, but from a distance ), but Section 26 would be great or anywhere else. I might be willing to buy a pair from someone slightly above cost ($5 each or so). I think I might even un-retire my king costume for this one. PM me and we can work something out. EDIT: Never mind. Have already been taken care of by a fellow Big Soccer-ite. Thanks everyone for all your offers!
REMEMBER, season ticket holders in the south goal can purchase unlimited numbers of tickets in sections 9, 10, and 11. This includes the upper deck area of these sections. If you have families, or if you dont like the shenanigans, you can be up above it all. You just need a supporters group member with seasons to buy your tickets. I am happy to do what I can for any RSL fan and will meet you at the stadium.
I had heard the supporters wanted LBR and Union Real to buy up all those tickets so that the south end was unified and crazy for them... Maybe I heard wrong, but I think that would be an awesome idea. If you "sit" in the south end, you better sing and chant your ass off. Related note: This game creates a very AWESOME opportunity to have a big tifo for the love and passion of this team. I'm sure the SG's have something in the works, but I wanted to throw the idea out there of having a big sign in the south for opening kick that essentially said "Make Us Proud"
Actually, I believe it was at the Arabe Unido game that the cops wouldn't let us in LBR leave the section because there was a reported fight and a LBR pulled a knife on the real union member...
that'll scare the Monterrey fans and players away... these guys are so weird they pull knives on their own fans.
You must spread some rep... Alternative lesson: watching Arabe Unido play is harmful to your state of mind.
He didn't pull the knife as a threat. He was trying to free the ReAL Union member from the drum and flag they saddle every member with then they join.
seriously. we have to have the best (but really worst) drum to person ratio of MLS in the two latino groups
7-1. Me like Neri Cardozo. Berry, Berry good. I can't stand fast, short people (maybe because I'm tall and slow). But the Ecuadorian does look very good. As a team, though, Monterrey doesn't seem to play all that fast. I've heard some talk about the speed potentially being a problem for RSL. Are they just talking about Ayovi? So what has he ever done (other than the couple hundred goals he's scored). He has a funny looking head. And I hate that thing he always does with his ears after scoring.
He is a 10-14 mill rated player if not mistaken. Just ask Seattle what he can do when he came on within a couple of minutes it was 3-2 for Monterrey being down 0-2 Hopefully one day MLS can have players valued at that level at the bench.
Re: Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] How does that play against them? It's different styles of soccer. I think that makes things tougher for RSL compared to let's say Cruz Azul since the game won't be as open.
Re: Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] It sounds like more of an LA team, then. LA's style of play is exact opposite to ours. LA never wins by much. If they get one, then they bunker. So, the key, then, is to get the first goal, and then kill them - and not allow a stupid PK - but if a stupid PK happens it won't hurt us because we're enough ahead. Think of this. RSL has beaten Cruz Azul (almost twice). Cruz Azul would've won if it weren't for a questionable PK. We've just got to make sure our game can't be decided by a ref.
Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] Yeah, they like to pass here and there more than straight plays... I think Ayovi's long range shots are more scary than his speed. Shitty video, but's the best I could get: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imiawuWKZtI"]YouTube - Golazos de Walter Ayovi[/ame] His face is a little weird, and he looks fat... but the guy's a beast with the ball in his feet. Re: Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] Also, Ayovi: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVFwRw9SZuQ"]YouTube - Clasificatorias Sudafrica 2010: Ecuador 2 - Argentina 0[/ame] And Chupete: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF1Aq3S6jPI"]YouTube - Gol Chile Suazo vs Brasil Copa America 2007[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv0f4_Nw0lQ"]YouTube - Monterrey vs Seattle Sounders 3-2 CONCACAF Liga Campeones 2010 [22/09/10][/ame]
Respuesta: Re: RSL in CONCACAF Champions League 2010-11 [R] Cuz if they win just for 1 goal in Monterrey, is a not that much of an advantage that couldn't be reversed(?) in Salt Lake. But they also beat the Sounders 0-2 in Seattle: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQnXvDmeHQ8"]YouTube - Seattle Sounders vs Monterrey 0-2 CONCACAF Liga Campeones 2010 [25/08/10][/ame] In fact, they are still unbeaten in this CCL: Group stage Monterrey 1 - 0 Saprissa Seattle 0 - 2 Monterrey Monterrey 2 - 0 Marathon Monterrey 3 - 2 Seattle Saprissa 2 - 2 Monterrey Marathon 0 - 1 Monterrey Quaterfinals Monterrey 1 - 0 Toluca Toluca 0 - 1 Monterrey Semifinals Monterrey 2 - 1 Cruz Azul Cruz Azul 1 - 1 Monterrey 10 matches, 8 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses
