Does anyone know if Hartman and Company will create a Scorpions FC soccer Academy in the near Future. Hartman has already got the fields with 5 Star Soccer Complex. Hopefully that is in the near future. Plus Away the club could create funds is by selling Homegrown Products.

First things first. Start with a viable team, establish a fan base, get sponsors on board, secure a home field, etc. then work on an academy once these things are in place.

Yeah I think they need to get their stadium situation figured out first. Once that is underway, they can continue to start looking at building towards next year and the future. Anything floating around on the stadium situation since Hartman said they'd take 30 - 45 days to evaluate the situation and look at privately funding a smaller one?

At a meeting with the Crocketteers back in January, Mr Hartman was asked that very question. He said they will have to be careful not to "compete" for youth talent with the club teams who practice at STAR. So their plan was to put together "Tournament Teams" made up of players from local SA youth teams. Sort of a "All Star" team.

But that was back in January; not sure what their plans are now, considering all the set backs they've had.

    I guess I don't understand the question,
there's already 1000s of kids that play at Star complex, even HS age kids.

I know, that doesn't mean that there's a "Scorpions" youth team,
but at least there's already a base to create an Academy.

I think is better the way it is right now,
because if there's a "Scorpions Academy team" who are they going to play against? (traveling cost)
