I saw that too. I'm guessing the new page/site will be up in a couple days. And when it does go live, I'll see about getting a MagicJack forum and dropping this one under expansion.

Wow...there is going to be a MagicJack website with lots of Press updates:p . it will be just like his adult U13 team.

On a good note, his squad is loaded. Look for crazy out of this world games when they are fully loaded against WNY.

This is only good for WPS, should catch the interest of potential expansion clubs in the West when they see New jack and WNY run the table on the other teams, will want in on the action.

Good luck Washington finding new money. Your Freedom trademark looks to return home.

So, for all practical purposes Washington Freedom has folded.

The only thing linking MagicJack with the Freedom is that the Hendrix's still own a minority part. Why? I don't know. If I was them, I'd say here Borislow, you can have it.

If he was going to do all this then he should have just bought himself another franchise from the beginning and not wasted time putting Freedom fans through all this bullsh_t.

They would have been sad and upset but would have had closure from the beginning instead of wondering what's going on with their team only to watch it die a very slow and painful death.

like i said, i'm taking bets he didnt have to pay the 1.25M franchise fee plus he got a fully stack team which just needed to add some parts vs an expansion team.

lets do the math. either i keep this team alive or the league folds, so how you think i'm going to pay that 1.25M when i'm keeping you from going under? wps comeback with a sensible offer. I'm sure the Hends got some compensation but he didnt have to go through the regular channels sahlen did. i guarantee you that.

OK, that makes sense. I forgot about the franchise fees. That's probably why he did this instead of bringing in a brand new team. Once he bought the majority stake then he prceeded to strip the team in every way.

    The boss likes Press. :p

“We really feel like she is one of the best players on the team,” he said. “It’s very difficult for rookies to break in and start. With Press, everything she does is amazing.”

Over and under - Who will have more blowouts WNY or Magic this season? :D

    The Boss also likes Dalmy.

Borislow said defender Marian Dalmy “could be the best player in our camp right now."

Glad to see her getting some praise.

Dalmy is awesome. One of my favorite Red Stars.
She should be in USWNT camp. But Pia's evaluation and implementation of talent is questionable at the moment.

My condolences Freedom fans. You had the grandmother organization in the league and were/are a class act. Sorry to see another great fanbase fall in the last year.

Agreed. But we've been talking about this for well over a year so it's getting ridiculous Dalmy continues to play well and yet gets overlooked.

We'll see if early WPS games and the looming WWC lead to an experiment.

    Let's see, ....

    - Why can't Marion Dalmy get back on the WNT roster?
    - Why can't Leslie Osborne get back on the WNT roster?
    - Why can't Jordan Angeli get back on the WNT roster?

Here are three exceptional football players who are somehow not on Pia's pick to click list, when the WNT is in dire need of more technical players that can make things happen for WWC 2011.

MD on the back line is a defensive star, plus a talent that can take the ball up and provide service without having to resort to the dreaded longball game.

LO and JA spice up the midfield and clearly provide the talent and image that complement the Tobin and Yael and O'Riley, and other new midfielders.

It is time to recognize the old girlz and then move on, at stun people at the WWC.

    Nuff said.

I seem to remember similar frustrations about a defensive midfielder who shined in the WUSA . . . what was her name . . . Fox? Roxx? oh yeah, Boxx!

Nothing like an impending championship to raise the coach's antennae . . . hopefully Dalmy will get a shot. I think she'd be a significant upgrade in the back.

To be fair, I don't think anyone has been quite like Boxx -- although I could be wrong since I didn't follow WUSA quite as closely as WPS. And when Boxx did get called up, she made a whopping impact for the national team. Can't say the same of anybody else yet. Except Alex Morgan and she's on the team and will be staying on it for a while.

Yes . . . with YOOVEEAAA's back-up keeper and some former WPS reserves, they're definitely ready to challenge WPS in terms of level of play. And with their TV contract on PG cable access, they will have a built in audience of 5-10 viewers - all of whom will certainly be soccer aficionados. I love this guy pontificating on WPS . . . maybe his PGCC team will actually get enough kids to have a season next year.

I mean, how could this POSSIBLY fail?

    ....cynical much?
I agree, I think he's way overestimating the strength of his team, (or underestimating that of WPS teams,) but having a TV contract is better than what WPS has right now, and most of the stuff he says about WPS's current state is dead-on, if only because of hindsight. Nothing he says I think is wrong or I disagree with - he just makes it sound way easier than it really is. Start with eight teams and go to ten? Well, WPS basically did that - but lost teams along the way as well. It's not so simple.

The guy says stuff about his team and its level that make NO sense. Then he recaps, uncritically, most of the criticisms of WPS that have percolated on the 'net.

Really, being on PG community access is better than WPS which is on FSC? Intolerant of moronic yes. Cynical, often - but not here - just enjoying the approaching train wreck. Go Caps! Hope you do better than this guys PGCC team did last year.

Do we know if FSC is renewing its deal? I was under the impression that the original deal was for just the first three years.
This I haven't heard of - is this a local league team that completely crashed?

His website says he's the women's soccer coach at Prince Georges Community College (MD). They weren't able to field a team this fall.
