Are you Ready? It will be held in Ecuador from 12 March to 9 April 2011 March 12 Ecuador v Bolivia March 15 Uruguay v Bolivia March 18 Peru v Bolivia March 21 Argentina v Bolivia
A lot of these players are the ones who played los juegos olimpicos like Banegas, Pedro Galindo, Mejido, and they're also thinking about potons. Let's see how they do.
^^^ Yup, Nasser Nayid Manzur was on that squad as well. Unfortunately it was also the squad that had the age violation controversy that seems to have just disappeared.
Yeah that's true, but they didn't prove anything, right? I'm really over optimistic and don't believe it unless they prove it.
Barry Bonds hasn't been proven to take roids either, and Contador just got "cleared" from doping charges, and it hasn't been proven that the recent games in Turkey were fixed or that Qatar bought votes from the selection committee. All that being said, most rational people believe otherwise. A bit of a reach I know but my point is that I think it's naive to think that not one of those kids had a fudgy age. In no means am I saying FBF, coach, would know about it. It happens from a young age at their local clubs and it just travels up the ladder.
If theres no evidence, it would be pretty ignorant to assume otherwise. Accusations were made, but nothing came out of it. No evidence. If I say "Pencils give you cancer", are you going to believe it with out evidence? I certainly hope not. Unfortunately, there will be people that will believe; especially the dude that has cancer. Anyways.
I get your analogy, but let's not forget the evidence that was presented agaisnt those examples. What evidence was presented in the case of these kids, NOTHING. All there was, was the word of one person whose intentions were malicious. Can these things be swept under the rug? sure, but let's not compare them in these case, that's over-reaching i think. My support is that this is the same guy that wanted to screw Galindo. Until there is some proof then the person's name should not be tarnished in this manner, some one like that has absolutely no credibility, which is why we haven't heard more on this issue.
Yea then once the media hears one TINY TINY rumor then it all.... EXPLDES...but i do remember there being some evidence
If i'm not mistaken it was a birth certificate with a different birthdate, but it was the same used on Galindo, hence the lack of credibility
Watching Deporte Total today from earlier, there is a kid they are interviewing called Jose Carlos Munoz. Says he is part of Boca juniors inferiores, and his pass is owned by him? He says he is the only bolivian player in boca right now in tehir system. WHo is this kid? Edit: Alex Porto, he is a youngin' that is in italy at the youth level somewhere. One of hte last players to join the Sub17 team. Who is this kid????
Yup that's exactly who that is. He's playing in the Allievi Nazionali youth team of AC Milan so he still has a ways to go, but he's still young. I don't know how far his older brother got but I believe he's no longer there. http://www.acmilan.com/en/teams/youth_teams_news/132077 Jose Carlos Munoz was on our Sub15 team and was previously with BanCruz in Argentina. Don't know which youth team of Boca he's with but they have a large number of youth teams. Being on one of them isn't really a big deal IMO.
Informe selección Sub-17 - Jose Carlos Munoz talks at the end of the clip... http://videobolivia.com/videodeportes.php
Thanks for the vid but I think that's Alex Pontons at the end of the video. Kid looks filled out and strong compared to some of our other sub17 players.
You might be right ... as seen on this forum our journalists do not always get it right! but... are these two pics of the same kid?
Dont know much about this guys but: "La base es el equipo que ganó los Juegos Olímpicos Juveniles de Singapur 2010." btw: is el Diablo part of the coaching staff of u15 or u17? Bolivia (BOL) singapore 2010 Pedro Galindo Alvaro Paz Carlos Anez Macallister Amutary Romero Vaca Noel Rodriguez Jhamil Bejarano Yasser Manzur Jorge Alpire Jorge Sabja Rodrigo Mejido Harry Zegarra Osvaldo Daza Marvin Martinez Cristian Arano Gustavo Torrez Luis Banegas Josue Gutrhiez Entrenador: Douglas Cuenca i guess the core is there... will the games be on univision, fox, or rojadirecta?
my boy hit me up with this link... lets hope 2+ months is enough to put a competitive team... El debut de Ecuador será ante Bolivia mañana y el profesor Xavier Rodríguez, ya tiene todo definido de cara a este encuentro, que lo considera vital para las aspiraciones de clasificar al Mundial y a los Juegos Panamericanos.
Good read. The chemistry with this team should be pretty good. If this team does well in this tourny, I expect some of these boys to be recruited. They showed up at the olympics (vs. mediocor teams), and a good showing here would definitely up.
I think we're gonna get destroyed in this tournament. Ecuador has been training for more than 2 months us for less than a month. We lost against Peru in Santa Cruz, I don't know how good the coach is.
That's the Ecuadorian coach talking about the Ecuadorian team. I wonder how long our guys have been practicing. (I think you were right about the Munoz kid in the video, and Pontons looks buff compared to our other guys) Crushing teams like Vanuatu really served no development purposes but what I think it did is it raised their confidence in themselves which is something a lot of these younger guys lack in international tourneys. debbiedowner.jpg Unfortunately I agree Ecuador already has kids playing first division ball, none of our guys have debuted professionally and we only have a few in professional youth teams. Here's the break down of our players. 8 Tahuichi (Callejas/Florida) 5 ANF club players (3scz, 1cbba, 1beni) 4 first division Bolivia pro players (2 Blooming, 1 Bolivar, 1 N Potosi) 3 extranjeros (two in pro team youth teams Pontons/Munoz) So our professional teams in Bolivia contributed four players out of the twenty. Disgraceful and shows the complete lack of attention to our youth. We'll never improve or make noise when we send club team players to play against young pros. The over dependence on Tahuichi is troubling to say the least. They are nowhere near what they were in the 80's and 90's and yet they still are the base of our youth teams. Sad. We need decentralization of youth development and we need it badly.
