Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] In that same period Bayern won 1 CL title, Lost a final, Got to the CL semi 2 other times while winning the league 4 times Without any doubt Bayern outclassed Dortmund even when BVB claimed to be at their peak
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Not only are you guys irrational, you can't even read So I'll repeat in the faint hope you pick up some reading comprehension in between times. BVB almost = Bayern for kids growing up in the 90s (ie their formative years) who are in their early 20s now. Edit - it also was hard to make the CL let alone get to the semis before 1998... And you weren't even here for the 5000 that came before you signed up Eiss, LB, DF, BMike, Jadger, footy and cris will ALL attest to superb bayern bashing throughout those 3 years too....
I heard that Chevrolet were looking to enter two cars into the F1 circuit.... ....but they didn't have the engineering studies complete yet showing them how to turn right...
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] I can only speak for myself but I am very glad we get so many fans from other teams posting thoughtful and insightful posts in the Bayern threads. It gives needed perspective and grounds some of the overzealous Bayern fans. It's only when other fans who obviously have a personal vendetta come to compound on our misery when we are in a rough spot and add little-to-nothing of value or substance to the discussion that people get frustrated.
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] I second that. For the most part it is highly enjoyable. And when it occasionally happens I basically don't care too much about it. Getting pissed of about it is up to each individual. After all, it's just the internet and there are other more important things to life other than futbol. Just don't tell Makaay that.
By the way, I have to say it's a disgrace Inception and Nolan didn't win best movie. I guess you should just make the movie right before the awards come out, so you get all the attention like the Black Swan & King's Speech.
Starting following F1 in 1998, and was a huge fan of Michael Schumacher. His battles with Mika Hakkinen were amazing. It's not a sport to watch if you want to see wheel-to-wheel racing. Formula 1 races are like chess matches, where one team will go out to the front at the beginning of the race, only for conditions to start favoring a different team towards the end of the race, as a result of which the race starts tightening up and gets interesting. The most deciding factor in races between two evenly matched teams are tire compound choices. Most races, I'll just DVR, watch the first five laps, put it on 2x fast forward, and then watch the last five laps. Best tracks are Spa Francorchamps and Suzuka, although Interlagos (Brazil) always hosts an entertaining race. Apart from F1, check out Le Mans racing, especially the Sebring 12 Hours and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Speed Channel broadcasts those as well. And if you want to see wheel-to-wheel, close racing, check out World Superbikes. MotoGP is also worth checking out (the F1 of motorcycle racing), although even there racing has become more processional, so it's not as exciting as WSBK.
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] o exactly, Footy comes to mind here... In my 3 years I never went over to other boards to gloat/talk crap (except for the Boateng/Ballack thing). Sure it's the internet, but we can still apply a little common courtesy here.
Schumi is the man! Nürburgring and Fuji are my favorite F1 tracks. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the race of the year, 24 Hours of Nürburgring is a close second. The Nürburgring Nordschleife is my all time favorite track, nearly 26 km per lap with 170 turns. I'll watch basically any racing that doesn't involve rednecks going at high speed in an oval/circle aka Nascar. MotoGP and WSBK are crazy, one guy falls and they all come tumbling down. And if you're looking for a great racing game, GT5 is where its at. It's nearly a perfect game, except it includes Nascar races BTW whats the general consensus on Danica Patrick, other than that she's hot aka is she any good as a driver and how do you think she'd fare in F1?
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Most ppl who post here I subconsciously think they are Bayern fan and follow Bayern as much as everyone here (except Hendrik who is an insider). Obviously you get some who just troll endlessly (Zinaldo, Berloha and squid) whose comments you need to skim over. If any of them is to give an opinion about Bayern I would most likely not reply as against when is posted by cwcoach, Eg, FR, Dieroten or eismann
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] Anti-Troll feature activated... Click user name> view profile> user lists> add to ignore list
Transfers and Rumors is officially clusterf*$k of the century, wtf is up with a select group of users calling Squid a troll, when he's been on these boards longer than they have? I'm of the opinion that those users just need to get over themselves, but I digress.
He got in a few good jabs on some issues when people were pissed off after the last 2 losses. Nothing terrible but guys were agitated. My post was only in jest since he and I get along great. He was trolling a little bit but nothing to go troll hunting about. Squid is the resident troll here and it's pretty much a running joke. Now, I think you may be up to something on those Baby Bayern fans
The craziest racing on the planet, by far, is the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (or TT). Absolutely mental. 37 mile course around the Isle of Man, riders setting on 15 second intervals, with the lowest time winning. As for Danica Patrick, she'd never fare in F1. She is having a tough time being competitive in Indycar or Nascar or whatever she's racing now, I don't even know. As for GT5, I tried playing the Prologue with the PS3 controller, and it was terrible as I like to play on full simulation settings. But I don't have the space for an entire wheel and pedal set, so I didn't bother getting GT5. I still need to finish Uncharted 2 before starting on Mass Effect 2.
Re: Transfers and Rumors Discussion Thread Vol. VI [R] 3 years? I didn't know it was 2012 already, I must have missed the Armageddon, otherwise if today's date is still 4 March 2011, you haven't even been here for two years... that is, unless you've had another account get banned
To be fair, if a non-Bayern fan comes here and starts insulting Bayern fans, or starts kicking them while they're down, baiting them, etc. that is the definition of trolling. It doesn't matter how long the perpetrator has been on the boards.
