I actually was rooting for all Italian teams in the Europa League for the sake of co-efficient points, and was let down miserably. Except for Napoli. I hope they go far.

thats too bad, u shouldve just for the sake of the serie A. Serie A needs that 4th spot, we are losing prestige and are falling behind in every way. if this keeps on going no star player is gonna come ti Italy and all teams will be ********ed. Shows how much u really know about football. and thank you for making yourself look like a fool, you've saved me the trouble with that ignorant statement :D

You know Italian teams the last ten years have not done badly in the Champions League... actually very good (better than Premier League). Where we get punished is in the UEFA Cup/Europa League. None of the midtable teams seem to take it seriously. So we're screwed by that.

The 4th spot is gone. It's too late. But, Italian teams should have had the pride to do better. Sampdoria, Palermo... they didn't take it seriously... they fielded B teams... it pissed me off.

Napoli squeaked by... through sheer luck and will (at the last game).

Even with a game in hand, Inter is still ahead of Juventus.

    Walk away, jubentina: walk away.

how long before we can get back the 4th spot? i dont know how you can lose a spot when your league has the defending CL champion, makes no sense :/
who does germany even have besides bayern? i dont feel like they have any other team that could perenially advance from the round of 16

yet with the squad u have u should be in 1st, not 4th only 3 points ahead of us. i already knew we wouldnt win anything, but u guys had hopes for everything, and you'll end up empty handed. i hope your still proud of that statement :D

its because of coefficients. Europa League results matters almost as much as CL and thats why Italy is losing that 4th spot. and thats not all we have to be worried about either... like a said, less prestige, less world class players and that will lead to italians doing even worse in these european competitions

Who spent more money though? :D

That's the real issue. Huge amounts for slight above average players. It's been poor management that has gotten you into this situation.

I guess only time will tell if players like Chiellini, Bonucci, Marchisio, Matri and Co. form into the real squad and future of Italy.

Congrads on the victory. Juventus played a smart patient game, while we controlled possession and should have at least tied the game but couldn't take our chances.

It will be interesting to see if this win will revitalize your guys' season. As for us, it will be interesting to see if we can win away to Fiorentina on Wednesday, the game in hand we have on everyone since December.

If we can we will be 5 points off of Bilan after mid February. We need that win to stay in the title race.

You're kidding right. Counting both the winter and summer transfer windows, we've spent more, but not by much (over 50% of our transferees are on loan). And, in addition, if you count the past couple of transfer windows (which has formed your team and ours), you've outspent us. Cmon man. Inter's team is far superior to that of Juve. You guys should be in first. Anyway, it was a good and exciting game to watch despite the victory.

True, but we're talking about Inter's superiority. Which they are regardless of spending

it is kind of sad though that this pitiful juve team has taken 4 of 6 points for inter. if we could get up like we do for the milan teams against every1 else, this season would be a lot better haha

It's kinda sad that Jube can barely scrape into the Europa League nowaddays...and even in an easy group, they still get eliminated.

Man, you're the most sore loser ever. We win a game improbably and you go on about spending, the standings, our failure in the EL, and so much other nonsensical crap. Can't you just say "hey good game, we'll take it to you next time though"? Like seriously... When a team beats us, I can easily admit it without going on a tangent.

Metro is not like that, he's just responding to juventino's comments and both have been going at it

if you go all the way to the start of this thread you'll see why, none of us are trash talking folk, however we don't respond kindly to troll attempts(which we believed juventino was trying to do, but he said he was joking and said sorry)

like I stated in another post, we were unlucky/lucky with the scoreline, you guys won and really took out Pazzo out of the game, credit to you guys, you deserve it

What Samora is said is true. We aren't trash-talkers, and it takes something to get us riled up. We usually stick to our forum, and really don't get onto other forums a la jubertino or other Bilan fans.

What we don't take lightly is someone trolling. If he had come in stated his analysis of the game, then that would have been fine. But he just comes in to do what.. to spread some banter because of the victory? That's all nice and well when you're in the Juve forum, not here. There should be some respect when you go on someone else's forum.

As I stated earlier.. Juventus did really well on the counter, and marked out our forwards from really creating any chances barring Etoó's miss in the 88th, however Matri also had one really good header that went wide. Overall it was a tough game, played to the strengths of both teams. The only thing I had wished to see was somewhat more dynamic play, as it became very disjointed for the last 30 minutes with each minute having a throw in or foul. I had also hoped, as a fellow Serb, Krasic would show up and have a go at Zanetti, but that was never in the cards.

The second half reminded me a bit of us versus Barca last season, and all credit to you. Your defense was really good, especially Barzagli, who even has been made fun of by some fans.. I thought he did an excellent job.

As far as we go.. we played well barring 2 mistakes by our second string central pairing. Both times Matri was left wide open. 1 chance he took, the other he didn't. Ranocchia is coming along, but at Inter he will feel more pressure so it's only natural to make some more mistakes. I feel like the same is happening with Bonucci.

And while you played well defensively, I wouldn't extend to as saying you were clearly the better team on the night. But that's a biased view from an Inter fan.. my reasoning is that we had more possession (very unlike Inter in away matches, especially in a derby) and we had chances. You were better by taking the chances you had presented, but did you illustrate the same quality in terms of technique over 90 minutes? It was even at that. That's all I am trying to say.
