    Yup. He'll travel w the team but will not play.

    En realidad lleva varias semanas sin jugar seguramente es lo mejor para la sele tener a los que estan 'a punto' en la cancha contra los campeones del mundo.

    Es una lastima que el, Pino y Jackson esten lesionados simultaneamente. Y tambien que sigan ignorando a Victor Montano. Creo que con Rodallega adelante estamos bien de todas formas...

    yo creo que con rodallega solamente vamos estar arriba muy mal
    el bolillo dijo cuando llego, que iba resptar el procerso de la sub 20 y sus jugadores, entonces olvidense de james pa la copa america, el va jugar es el mundial

    Falcao will not play this Sunday at Braga, but is set to make his return away to Sevilla in the first leg of our Europa League tie next week...

    Yeah I agree, but he wasn't even called up for tomorrow's match. It'll be fascinating to see if AVB starts him vs Sevilla on Thursday.

    Guarin and James were, though, and the match is on at 3:15 ET in the US...should be a fun atmosphere away to Braga, as they are our big northern rivals and obviously finished ahead of us in the standings last year.

    We know a little about Braga since Wason Renteria finally played well for them at the end of the aforementioned previous season.

    Tis a pity he could not stay with them.

    Oh yeah, I forgot about that, I think he was on loan to them from Porto haha!

    Yup and he is currently waiting for Porto to officially release him to Once Caldas of Colombia.

    Tell them to speed it up a bit if you can. :p ;)

    Haha, I didn't even know we still owned him!

    Anyways, we played very well tonight in our 2-0 victory Braga, with both goals scored by Argentine CB Nicolas Otamendi, surprisingly. James played the full 90, constantly switching flanks and popping up in dangerous areas of space; he's doing great at Porto, and looks more confident every match. Guarin also came on for the last 5-6 minutes, and delivered a nice free-kick that was well-saved by their keeper.

    As for Falcao, everyone at the club is 99.9% sure he'll be back for Sevilla on Thursday. I'm very excited for this, as we've been waiting a long time for his return, and both the player and our staff have been patient in making sure that he's 100% fit so that he doesn't suffer another injury setback like before.

    I know the media makes a big deal about Hulk but it seems like you guys suffer more w/o Falcao. Do you guys not have another #9? I heard wonders about that Suazo brazilian kid you guys have but he doesn't seem to get any chances

    The only other #9 we have is Walter, a Brazilian striker signed from Internacional this summer. He scores goals at a good clip, but for some reason our manager really doesn't trust/like him at all. There were rumors that he isn't training hard enough and has a poor attitude, and also that he was caught out at a night club late before practice a week ago. Whatever the case may be, we're not the same team with Hulk as a striker, and I can't wait to get Falcao back!

    James in particular has not been exaclty brilliant without Falcao. His game revolves around the constant presence of someone in the box for him to either cross to or provide the distraction to free up his dribbling.

    Hulk and James do not gel quite as well as Falcao and James despite the fact that the former assist each other quite often.

    News: Falcao, a punto para enfrentarse al Sevilla

    El internacional colombiano Radamel Falcao apunta como titular para la eliminatoria de este jueves entre Sevilla y Oporto, después de una lesión que lo ha tenido apartado de los terrenos de juego desde el pasado 16 de enero.

    El punta, que ya lleva 19 tantos en 25 partidos disputados esta temporada -fue el máximo goleador de la fase de clasificación de la Liga Europa, con siete goles- es una pieza fundamental en el 4-3-3 utilizado por su técnico, André Villas-Boas, y su ausencia ha coincidido con el peor momento de juego de los "dragones".

    Para cubrir su baja, Villas-Boas optó por mover sus piezas y desplazar a Hulk al centro de la delantera y colocar a Varela y James en los extremos, dejando así fuera al teórico delantero centro suplente, el brasileño Walter.

    Esta solución, sin embargo, ha lastrado especialmente las actuaciones de Hulk, más acostumbrado a aprovechar su explosividad desde los costados, y que ha estado más apagado que de costumbre en los últimos duelos.

    La prensa deportiva lusa coincide hoy en pronosticar el regreso de Falcao al once contra el conjunto hispalense, después de una lesión en su rodilla izquierda de la que poco se ha sabido a través de los canales oficiales del club.

    El diario "A Bola" apuntaba hoy que el delantero colombiano se recuperó "hace días" de su lesión y que entrena ya con normalidad, aunque sigue con temor a una recaída, motivo por el que decidió, de acuerdo con su entrenador, no participar en el último partido frente al Braga pese a tener el visto bueno de los médicos.

    Villas-Boas ya había añadido más confusión al caso dos semanas atrás, cuando especuló con su presencia en el equipo para el primer partido de la eliminatoria de la Copa de Portugal ante el Benfica y en el estadio de Dragao, que finalmente acabó con derrota (0-2) y sin el regreso de Falcao.

    Otro que también puede volver tras salir de una lesión es el lateral uruguayo Álvaro Pereira, quien no juega desde el 19 de diciembre, aunque su participación como titular se antoja improbable.

    La marcha triunfal del Oporto en la Liga lusa -donde no conoce la derrota y lleva once puntos de ventaja al segundo clasificado, el Benfica, aunque con un partido más- no evita que en las últimas jornadas el equipo se haya envuelto en alguna polémica.

    La última ha sido la protagonizada por el centrocampista colombiano Fredy Guarín, quien hizo público el domingo su descontento por no jugar de inicio frente al Braga a través de la red social Twitter.

    "Aficionados, no sé que más hacer en este club para poder tener un lugar en el once inicial, ustedes saben muy bien todo lo que ya hice para poder jugar aquí", escribió.

    All 3 Colombians called up for the Europa League match on Thursday night in Seville. Should be really fun, and hopefully Falcao starts!

    Lo pasan por fox sports, si no tenes el canal mira por rojadirecta.es, hasta ahora el porto bien y James casi anota el primero, luego lo amonestaron por atacado:p
