r there fans in the stadium?

also when will the lebanese NT play a game?

They are now 8 months without a football game.
No participation in ASIA U 19, no participation in ASIA u 16. No participation in west asian championship.

will there be participations in 2011? or same crap like in 2010?

The senior national team is at a loss, yes they played Asian Cup qualifiers, but they havn't got of there own backs to arraneg any games themselves. They played Nehru Cup in India but before that the last game they arranged was against the mighty Namibia, which says a lot.

At U19 level, they withdrew from the qualification pool, when only 3 other nations remained, one being Pakistan. It could of been the group they were looking for to qualify from.

At U16 level, it all started badly when they played an overage player and things just got worser and worser.

The only good thing to come out of Lebanon recently, is at club level were Nejmeh only went out of the AFC Cup on head to head, not bad when you see that Al Ahed went out about 7 points behind qualification.

No doubt about it though, that the recent season of Lebanese football has put the nation well behing a few others. Look at Bahrain in recent years. At national level, there's no reason why Lebanon couldn't mach them or even better them.

interesting facts. One team cannot improve without playing games. The more you play, the better you will get.Lebanon not being involved in any competitions will harm their football. Their future seems worse then now also.

al-ahed won 5 - 0 vs nejmeh in league game.I assume they are leading.
Lebanese NT has no game scheduled for november 17.I think this is the start of the game being totally ignored in Lebanon.

That was an amazing result really. Couldn't believe it when i saw it!

The NT, it's like they are dead. They need something to really kick them off again. But nothing happens. They seem to be in a terrible state.

Very good result for the young players. How are we looking in the youth FCMB? any hopes we can hold on to for the next 5-10 years?

Also guys... Soony Saad freshman of the year for Michigan state. One of the prospects for the MLS draft. a U20 international for the US. Hopefully Lebanon can tie him to play for us. Also his a little older, not sure if he is capped, we should also consider in tying him up for us. Anyone we can tie up for the national team that plays abroad or has dual citizenship?

    1. LFA doesn't really track players from outside Lebanon.

    2. Who the hell would choose Lebanon over the US? That guy would simply ruin his carrer by that move.

Yura Movsisyan chose to play for Armenia, then playing for the USA.
Altho he was eligible to play both.
Why shouldnt soony saad pick lebanon over usa?

anyway football is dead in lebanon, I miss homentmen and homenmen in division 1. It would have created good rivalry around here with jeff70 as well lol

Lebanon with there worst ever fifa ranking in january 2011, 168 !!!

With the way political things are going in lebanon, I doubt Lebanon will improve. In 2 months, Lebanon will be one year with no games for the national team.

I feel your pain, Palestine rose to their highest ever ranking in 2006. They were ranked 115 and then didn't play a game for nearly 18 months, during which their coach died of cancer. Their ranking plummeted- they were so unprepared for their World Cup qualifying matches that they lost 4-0 to Singapore who they had beaten 1-0 in '06. We are still recovering from that year without football. I wish you guys the best, at least you still have a domestic league going (even if no one can attend matches).

Last live football game I saw in Lebanon was the Olympic team vs. Australia in Olympic quals in 2007. Does Racing allow live fans to their stadium? My friend saw the Ahed-Ansar game but I missed out on it. Actually love the b-ball games here.

Al Ansar pulled out of the AFC Cup, stating financial problems as reason.
