Here's the 2011 Tippeligaen thread! The top three clubs from the 2010 season, and the NM Cupen winners have earned the following: Rosenborg BK - CL Qualif. Vålerenga IF - Europa Tromsø IL - Europa Strømsgodset - Europa (2010 Norgesmesterskap Cupen winners)
Happy new year. The following teams will play in Tippeligane 2011. Brann Fredrikstad Haugesund Lillestrøm Molde Odd Grenland Rosenborg Sarpsborg 08 Sogndal Stabæk Start Strømsgodset Tromsø Viking Vålerenga Aalesund Fredrikstad is back i Tippeligaen with their litle brother Sarpsborg 08 . This will get to be an interesting "derby" . The last new team tor the year is Sogndal. Not realy much to say aboute Them exept that they where the clear winners off Adeccoligaen 2010. Tippeligaen 2011 will be a interesting year when Rosenborg have a new coach , lost a number of players and they have to start with the same conditions as the rest of tippeligaen with a much smaller amout of money to use. Molde have managed to hijack Man Unt`s legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær . At the same time they have gotten a big load of money to use buying new players. So it will be exciting to see how Ole manages to be a manager in Tippeligaen. I expect Molde to be there in the top 2011. Personally i think this will be a good year for Vålerenga. Hopefully they will keep the most of the players and maby get some reinforcsments in the back 4 and maby a striker. And You can never rule out Viking. There has not been anything exciting from Viking happening but you never know. Will Henning Berg manages to get Lillestrøm to the top this year? This is now Henneing Berg`s 3`rd year as Lillestrøm coach. And i think if he dosn`t prove that Lsk can fight i the top this year that he will lose his job i Lsk. Stabæk hvae huge problems these days . The owner of the arena they play at wants them gone bacause he dosn`t make any money of Stabæk playing there. At the same time they have big money problems and have lost their coach. So i dont have much belive in Stabæk in 2011. Strømsgodset shuld be upp there. They colapsed at the end of the tippeligaen 2010 . But maby they have learned a thing or two from this. Ålesund surprized alot of people in 2010 with their good year. During the winter they have lost like 7 or 8 players . So if Ålesund don`t go hard out on the marked this year they will get some big probems in 2011 . Their coach is certenly not happy with the squad at this time. So i think he will go elsewhere if something drastic dosn`t happen. There is not much to say aboute the rest of the teams yet. Il keep you posted.

3 signings for Vålerenga today. Fredrik Stoor from Fullham signed a 3 year contract. http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/?progId=482797 Alexander Solli from Løvham signed a 2 year contract http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/?progId=482783 Sidoine Oussou From Benin signed a contract that lasts out the 2014 season. A link for those who knows french or norwegian http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/?progId=482830 Copa Del Sol starts jan 27 and here are the groups A: Vålerenga, FC København, Aalesund, Wisla Krakow. B: Tromsø, IFK Gøteborg, Molde, FC Karpat Lviv. C: Rosenborg, Rapid Bucuresti, Malmø FF, Spartak Moskva. D: Nordsjælland, FC Sportul, Shaktar Donetsk, FC Viktoria Plzen.
I liked Årøy as a player my self. But in the long run i thinkt it might be a good thing for Ålesund to not be so dependent of one player. Fredrikstad sigend Tarik Elyounoussi for 3 years yesterday Tarik said that Fredrikstad was the only norwegian option. http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/ligaer/nederland/artikkel.php?artid=10037156 Celtic seems to realy want Huseklepp from Brann. Brann and Celtic have been negotiated for a long time. Some PL clubs have suposedly shown interest, but Celtic seems like the most likely team to get him. http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/ligaer/skottland/artikkel.php?artid=10037233 http://www.tv2sporten.no/fotball/tippeligaen/se-celticmanageren-skryte-av-huseklepp-3382467.html
Excellent grouping of Scandinavian clubs and Eastern European clubs. Do the top two advance from each group or only the winner of the group?
Well it is a knock out system. The winner of the match advance to a match against the winner of the other match in the group. So If Vålerenga wins their first game they will meet the winner of Ålesund-Wisle Krakow. Then the winner of that match will play against the winner of a other group. So the two teams that wins their 3 first matches meets in a final. The winning team gets a price for 200.000 Euro . The losers also meet to a intern battle so all teams are guaranteed 3 matches.
Molde signed four new players and let two players leave this week. American Joshua Gatt(19) from Austrian club Rheindorf Altach, Norwegian Magnus Wolf Eikrem(20) from ManUtd and Davy Claude Angan(23) from Norwegian club Hønefoss BK: http://fotball.rbnett.no/eliteserien/article189929.ece Børre Steenslid is coming from the Norwegian club Viking FK: http://fotball.rbnett.no/eliteserien/article190048.ece Jan Kjell Larsen is sold to Norwegian side Stabæk: http://fotball.rbnett.no/eliteserien/article189941.ece Mame Mbar Diouf is on a free transfer to Sandnes Ulf: http://fotball.rbnett.no/forstediv/article190007.ece
Solskjær seems to build a young team for the future. I see Molde as a candidate for top 5 for the season 2011. Looking forward to se what the babyface assassin can do with Molde.
What ones was an exciting team with fans that made them self heard in and outside the club are in my eyes turning in to a grey mouse. And it show on the sponsor interest for the club. Only 15 of hopefully 40 million Kroner are in place. http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/norsk/artikkel.php?artid=10013435 Lsk have also signed a deal with a new clothing supplier . The Italian brand Legea. Nn agreement of approximately 28 million over 5 years http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article190081.ece
Celtic skips Huseklepp from Brann. And Huseklepp is of course disepointed. http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article190114.ece And Annan (Rbk) dosn`t seem to go any where. http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article190114.ece

Vålerenga played KFUM yesterday and won 2-3 and they played Hamkam today and lost 1-4 And it seems like Vålerenga will buy Etzaz Hussain from Man Unt. http://www.vif-fotball.no/article3068453.ece
http://www.vif-fotball.no/article3069068.ece Vålerenga came to an agreement with Man Unt . I think this is a very good deal for Vålerenga.
Daniel F Holm have signed a 3 year contract with Rosenborg. Previous clubs are Aalborg in Denmark , Vålerenga and Skeid in Norway. Been out for a long time with injuries. http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/ligaer/danmark/artikkel.php?artid=10029091 Rosenborg Lost 2-1 to Las Palmas today . Their new coach first match. http://fotball.aftenposten.no/treningskamper/article190662.ece Viking lost 3-2 to Hæcken today http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article190659.ece
Molde managed to tur the match againt Kristiansund from 1-3 to 4-3 Lsk played a draw 1-1 against Hønefoss two days ago. Brann missed 3,9 million kroner because they miss interpreted the rules. They failed to apply for VAT compensation. And Brann is not alone of making this mistake. http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article190719.ece
Now it's official: Sean Cunningham signs with Molde FK. That makes two American youth players in Molde. http://www.moldefk.no/index.php?page_id=19673
The fans have united during the winter and started a campain called fotba skal spilles i helgen ( football shuld be played in the weekend) This is the largest and most comprehensive campaign launched by fans in Norway and this will be an important factor to the next media deal . http://www.fotballihelgen.no/ The news papers seem to understand that the fans are for real with this campain an have written much on the topic. http://www.kampanje.com/medier/article5465152.ece http://www.kampanje.com/medier/article5465833.ece
there has been a couple of training matches the last couple of days. RBK -Rapid Bucuresti 0-0 (Rbk won on penalties ) LSK - FFk 3-4 VIF - FCK 1-5 TIL - IFK Gøteborg 0-2 Molde - Karpati Lviv 1-1 (Molde won on penalties) Yssouf Kone have signed a 3 year contract with Vif. Annan left Rbk and signed with Chalke 04 in Germany. After a couple of mtches from Molde i have to say that i see them as a top 5 team for the 2011 season.
