why doesn't Chivas try getting Mexican Nationals not recieving regular playing time on loan, like Brazillian and Argie clubs regularly do? Would be great to get Gio, Vela or hell even Nery for the clausura portion of the tournament.
They've already tried to get both Gio and nery, and didn't work out. Vela said he doesn't plan on returning to mexico any time soon. Face it. Mexican forwards in Mexico just suck. No one we can get is that much of an upgrade from what we currently have. We just have to deal with it. The best Mexican forwards are abroad, and we ain't getting them any time soon. We can talk about other positions, but we don't really need players in any other position. Maybe lateral derecho? Esparza was getting owned on the game against monterrey.
I saw de Luna get owned in that game down the right sideline (specifically on one of the goals), but didn't notice Esparza play poorly. I'm not as worried about defense. I think the focus needs to be on a veteran forward.
agreed, which brings me back to my previous point. I don't think any of the mexican forwards in the league are any better than the ones we have. I think they are all at about the same level. They are all decent, with their strengths and weaknesses, but there is no one spectacular. It is therefore not a surprise that our offence on the national team has been subpar until recently.
Francisco Ramirez just said Octavio Aceves is coming back to Chivas and Gaucho is going to Gallos Blancos.
He was considered one of our best propects before this happened. http://www.oem.com.mx/eloccidental/notas/n1169353.htm He's an interesting player(very similar to Enriquez). He can play cb or dm. I didn't get to watch Queretato play this season so i dont know ho good he is.
He's a big boy. I didn't get a chance to see him this year either, so don't know if this is a good move.
Erick Torres training with Man utd Con 3 goles del "Cubo" Erick Torres, el chavo que continuará su formación en ManUtd, @Chivas vence 4-0 al @CF_America en Liguilla Sub 17 http://twitter.com/razaespn
San Cadilla had something about him just training with the Man U youth squad (I think) for the next few months. Could be worth it to see if his lack of success with the Chivas Sub20 was because that team sucks, or because he isn't quite ready yet for the big time.
It is the agreement in the chicharo contract that allows chivas to send players/staff to ManU for training.
Ain't nothing wrong with that. We have too many inexperienced players and they need to get playing time.
Yeah, it's good for them. Plus, technically, they're still ours. Erick Torres scores a hattrick on the Wilas...lol.
Thats nuts. This dude is a scoring machine and doesnt look imposing or look like he has special attributes; i guess he just knows how to play instinctual with great read of the game.
He turns 18 in January, which means he is no longer eligible for the U17 WC, but will have two chances at the U20. If the Man U exchange is real, I wonder if he'll be able to travel back for the U20 qualifiers (April).
