I was wondering what people thought about using the Cauldron name as we move into the new stadium. Should we keep it? If we should change it what do you think it should be called. Thanks

I think we should wait and see what the rebrand brings. I personally quite like Cauldron.

So long as its a collective, majority opinion .... either way.

I am not trying to make a quick decision, just wanted to pose the question and get peoples thoughts.

I am fine staying the Cauldron, its has name recognition, I am sort of attached to it. I am just thinking that with the rebrand and the move if there was a desire to change it the off season would be the time.

Totally .... lets hope the FO does not conjure up its own name for the section. They certainly seem to have stepped away from Cauldron ...

From what I have been told they will only be referring to it as the Members Section. They have no intent trying to name it or desire to run it.

I've been of the opinion of "If the name changes, so do we" type mind. So if we're the Wizards next year, we're the Cauldron. If we're Sporting KC Divided, I'm all for a new name unless we can't think of anything better than the Cauldron.

it works no matter the name of the team, changing it because of a new stadium or team name is forcing it, and will cheapen whatever the new name would be

its different than others, which is kind cool, no reason to go with the standard "North End" or "Section ________ "

Yea, I have not had eureka moment that made me jump up and say this should be our name.

I liked "The Section" except its to close to Section #

I also kind of like "The Stockyard" its Kansas City specific, and we may feel like cattle pouring out of the new club.

I say we keep it for the name recognition, and the fact that it does have multiple meanings and is not inherently "Wizards" themed.

That said, if anyone comes up with a brilliant idea to change it too, I am willing to listen.

don't change it just cuz the Wizards might change or even if they do rebrand...it's who we are! not everything needs to be new!!!

I remember when the Cauldron/Mystics had about two rows, 20 people in Arrowhead...... I say keep it, regardless of rebrands. Something has to be traditional,if it's not the team name, it's the section.

I was talking to Jeff one night and mistakingly said the Sons of Sam, He was not sure who I was referring too but assumed that I was talking about Sam Pieron. At that point we decided we should start a group called the Sons of Sam and our logo would be a baby in swaddling with the head and face of current day Sam.

This has not happened, but I am still drawn to the imagery.

I like this Idea. Sam is a legend, but really down to earth for a superstar.
