you would think with all the success shakthar donetsk has had and how good elano had been for the NT - they would be calling up more frequently some of the lads from Donetsk to the NT.

does anyone have any insight about how they have so many brasilians for this ukraine squad??

Luiz Gustavo (Hoffenheim) gave asist for Demba Ba's wondergoal,

BTW: in the last two games, he had to play as a CB for once 45 minutes and today 30 minutes - he is also good at a CB. :D

Jonathan Reis came on in the 45th minute against VVV-Venlo, it was his "real" return after being fired because he used cocaine. He got a warm welcome and scored twice (easy goals).

I'm still convinced that Reis could become potential NT-material if he can stay away from cocaine and too much alcohol.

Luiz Adriano and Alex Teixeira scored in Ukrainian Derby against Dynamo. Lots of brazilians in both teams.

On a sad note, Douglas Costa injured. Probably off for a five weeks but I hope examination would bring a better news.

Alex always had this awsome kick on foul shots - since he played for Santos back in 2002... I will never understand why his coaches never used this talent!

    Also very important note.
Ramires now starting for Chelsea and playing exceptionally well - in his top form!

^I reckon that he didn't fully adapt yet to English football, no surprise since he has been there for such a short period of time, but he is improving really fast... Tho I don't think he will still be a starter when Lampard gets back, he is showing that he is a reliable player so the coach can trust him when he decides to rotate his squad.

... But I can't understand some epl fans, he is just starting his Chelsea career and there already were some people throwing rocks at him for one or two bad games. No surprise that so many youngsters flop there, they require the consistency of a veteran out of their boys... That's quite excessive.

They're idiots. Brasilians allways get bad wrap in the EPL. Hell the announecrs on TV for Fox can't wait to spit out negativity againts Brasilian players.
On another note: Robinho not well so far for Milan. Hernanez arebentando at Lazio.

It's impressive how well Hernanes adapted to Italian football.. The funny thing is that on the Lazio transfer topic at their forums I said that Hernanes's speed was average, but he is running like Usain Bolt there, I guess that the average speed of the Serie A players is lower than ours. Anyway, I'm very happy for him and I hope he can mantain this form during the season, then reproduce it in our NT.

...About Robinho, this is his best chance, Seedorf says that he is training very hard but he must do better. Recent history shows that the Milan fans have a special spot in their hearts for Brazilian players, and Robinhos form is always boosted with the love of the fans... A spell of good form and he will be at home.

you can't really fault the commentators for criticizing brazilians in the EPL. it just shows how many have gone there and have either failed or not met the high expectations. and there are MANY.

it says something about the status of brazilians in the EPL when our most successful and well-liked player over there was juninho paulista lol. gilberto silva is another.

but then you have geovanni, robinho, anderson, lucas, denilson, afonso alves, etc. anderson ,lucas, denilson could still turn out to be good, but still...

I agree with You on the subject
but your latter remark and lol
about Juninho Paulista and Gilberto Silva
is just a bit disgraceful and ignorant.

Robinho actually has not been bad IMO. His finishing is the only thing lacking at the moment. His movement and workrate has added another dynamic to Milan.

Of all fans, I expect Brazilian fans to know about extreme pressure to succeed and unnecessary criticism.
