    From "Bild's" ticker:

Central defender Lukas Sinkiewicz is moving from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen to 2nd Bundesliga club FC Augsburg.

The 24-year old, who moved from 1. FC Köln to Leverkusen in 2007, had a valid contract in Leverkusen through this coming season.

Sinkiewicz has signed in Augsburg just for this coming season.

Neither club has commented on the deal's details.

Sinkiewicz said, "For me, it was a wonderful period in Leverkusen. However, I was not satisfied with my situation."

The defender was held back in Leverkusen by injuries more than anything. He suffered a torn ACL in 2008 and in 2009, suffered from torn muscles and a viral infection. He had no chance at winning a regular starting spot in Leverkusen.

Yes, I know RW Oberhausen and FSV Frankfurt are missing from the poll.

Do you guys really think those two have a shot at promotion?? LOL!!

Really, the poll option only allows for 16 choices so I had to leave out two.

Thanks for starting this, Keith. Even though Freiburg is entering its second season on the Oberhaus I still enjoy the 2. Bundesliga immensely.

Ok, a bit hopeful for this year perhaps - but 1.FC Union Berlin is building toward promotion soon!

Even crazier about the KSC game is that Cottbus scored twice to start the game, KSC then scored five straight, followed by Cottbus scoring three straight. You see a 5-5 score and you think back and forth scoring, but this was a game of scoring streaks. Great game.

Any thoughts on KSC this season? Spent some time there last year, took in a game, bought a trikot (the white shirt with enbw as the shirt sponsor) and a hat (from a predecessor club, I take it; Muhlheim? Big stylized eagle on the cap) and have found myself becoming more and more interested in the club. Surely not a glamour club, probably to most not terribly exciting, but they've kind of hooked me.

Most likely a phoenix, the club's old name is Phönix Karlsruhe.

The club's current full official name is Karlsruher Sport-Club Mühlburg-Phönix.

Yup, that's it. After I posted, I tooked at the hat. It has the bird on front (the Phoenix, I guess), and underneath that, something about its founding in 1894 (Seit 1894), and on the side of the hat they have the name you listed above--I just assumed that was two clubs, but apparently that is the club's full name. Who knew!

So if Phoenix is part of their official name, why is their mascot what appears to be a warthog?

Well, Mühlburg was originally a different club - Phönix and Mühlburg merged in the 50s to KSC Mühlburg-Phönix, although commonly only KSC is used.

It's a wild boar... and I guess because their stadium is named Game Preserve Park?

I assume they haven't played them much if at all but does anyone know if any type of rivalry exists between FSV Frankfurt and either Eintracht or Kickers Offenbach? How tense were matches between FSV and Kickers when they played in the 3. Liga or Regionalliga?

And going even more off topic (but staying within the region) does anyone know of any football clubs in the town of Dietzenbach? Which club(s) is in the highest level?

Frankfurters hate Offenbach. Offenbach hates Frankfurt. There's an urban myth in Frankfurt, that Offenbach emerged from people starting to sette in it's nearby Landfill at the city gates as scavengers.

FSV was a rival of Eintracht for years, but the rivalry fizzled out since it's been AGES since the two clubs actually played each other competitevley. It has shown signs of reemergement however, with FSV reaching the second tier two years ago.

    Only minor teams in Dietzenbach:

Can anyone tell me why that Steinhaus video has almost 2.000.000 views at YT in just over a day?

Yes, females have brests and yes, sometimes people accidently touch them and that's it.

Nothing sexual about that at all. I wish boobs were never invented. So distracting for both genders constantly. ;)

1860 HAS BEEN DOCKED TWO POINTS BY THE DFL FOR VIOLATING CONDITIONS OF ITS LICENSE!!!

Click here for the story in German at kicker's website.

Sport Director Miroslav (Micky) Stevic is quoted as calling the action "a punch in the face."

Manager Dr. Robert Niemann is quoted as saying he understands why it happened, it is over and they will do everything they can to get back into compliance with the conditions of the license.

Someone let me know if I'm wrong, but that's what I got from the bit of the story I looked over!!
