some end of transfer window news... quite a bit actually

    --Singlar is out
--so is Diaz, Junior was sold to Club Brugge
--Piotr Brozek might be out the door to, sources claim most likely to Polonia Warsaw
--we also received a player on loan from a turkish club, it is dutch-moroccan Boukhari, he used to be pretty good for Ajax about 5-10 years ago, he is now 30.

my thoughts? Singlar's wages to play in Mloda are off the books, so that is great news. Junior Diaz leaving is a bit disappointing, hopefully we got enough money for him, I personally liked the guy and what he brought to the table. Piotr Brozek leaving? Well with Diaz gone the LB spot should be Piotr's without any contest, otherwise if Piotr is sold... then who plays LB?!?! but since coaches seemed to have no use for Piotr lately, it would be nice for him to get playing time, and if he was guaranteed that at Polonia, more power to him, I will wish him well regardless. As for Boukhari, I am unsure of this, luckily it is only a loan for now. He is 30 and has not done anything impressive for a handful of years now, but if he pushes Paljic I feel they can both benefit from it. Especially since Kirm shows promise, but seems to only put true effort in it seems for Slovenia. I would not be surprised if Kirm leaves before window close, or during winter or next summer... unless he regains motivation. Personally I still see Paljic starting over Boukhari for the time being

friendy today against Resovia Rzeszów, and then another one tomorrow against Koszarawa Żywiec... i do not believe either are going to be televised or streamed, but i am sure wisla will post youtube highlights after the fact.

poland has two friendlies in the mean time, today against Ukraine, and Tuesday against Australia... the cool thing about the one tuesday is that it will be at our new stadium. only 2 of the stands will be open since the other 2 still have some touching up to do before it is officially re-opened next month in the wisla match against legia. but it will be nice to have the "sneak peak" on tuesday to see something other than just pictures :)

also, next weekend will be a huge match against Jaga who are currently in 2nd position after their hot start in the first 4 rounds. in round 4 Jaga at home beat Lech Poznan 2-0, in rd3 Jaga won on the road 2-1 in Gdansk, in rd2 Jaga at home beat GKS, and in rd 1 drew away to Wroclaw... simply phenomenal results in my opinion. it will be a real test for Maaskant and the boys, should be interesting

here is the result of today's friendly, there were some first team guys in the mix... i am assuming the rest will play tomorrow.

    Resovia Rzeszów – Wisła Kraków 1:2 (0:1)
    0:1 Rios 37’
    0:2 Jirsak 71’
    1:2 Pontus 87’

Resovia Rzeszów: Pietryka (68’ Szyszko, 84’ Iliński) – Podstolak, Kozubek (68’Kościelny) , Zitka (46’ Bogacz), Iwanskyj (46' Stencel, 84’ Szkolnik)– Smolec (46' Ogrodnik, 84’ Mastej), Kaczor (46' Dzierżęga, 88’ Conello), Walaszczyk , Mateusz Kantor (63' Hustava, 90’ Krupa) – Dariusz Kantor, Hajduk (63' Pontus, 88’ Nykanovicz)

Wisła Kraków: Jovanić (46’ Pawełek) – Nalepa, Chavez, Cleber, Piotr Brożek –Jirsak, Chrapek, Boukhari (74’ Rado)– Rios (46’ Jeleń), Żurawski, Paljić

I just wish they played better teams, I mean this team is like in the 5th league, not even a true test.

i understand what you are saying, and it would be nice if they did set those higher profile friendlies up throughout the rest of the year, kind of like what Skorza did... personally, i think it is better than nothing. also, these 2 matches were decisions of the president and upper management. for example, the latter friendly was to celebrate the side's 100 year anniversary of formation, and if i remember correctly, the other friendly was to help raise funds for that club

Frankowski makes a subtle, smart touch away in the box to protect the ball with his body... Cleber tackles him and gives them PK... Frankowski makes it 2-1

    Jaga 2-1

Grosicki is best on the pitch so far. Wisla with plenty of possession and have done nothing with it :( too many people disappear in the half for us. it would be nice to see Patryk brought on at some point

although the initial opening of all 4 stands of Reymonta is for Legia next month. wisla plans on playing next weekend's match against Kielce at R22 :D they will play in the same two stands that were open for the Poland/Australia match. it should be good news considering we will get our grounds back. also, it is good news because our stadium is soo much closer to being complete :)

next match is this tuesday in the puchar polski away to Dolcan Ząbki

honestly, i thought Wilk and Sobolewski had solid games for us this past match. i do think Rios was by far the best out there though. and as much as Boguski gets paid to mess up and not strike the ball solidly enough, plus you must remember Pawel f*cked up and mis-hit the ball just as bad, just that Wilk followed up and scored. our defense and backline gets paid to help keep goals out, and do not do a very good job at it so far. i think with time Jovanic will be solid for us, but is not quite "in-form" yet... the one thing i do think though is, our back line is shaky as shit. Cikos f*cked up on the one goal, and i don't know what to think of Bunoza with the space he gives defenders in the box. Paljic and Cleber were so-so this match
