My God, Neeskens finds a thread where she thinks she can lie and rant about Ajax without me reading it. Well luckily we have Pablo in here, I would have given you 5 times reputations if I were able dude.

That's fair enough. We've got nothing to lose so we'll just have a go at it.

You might want to check and read back to see who started this thing. I also want to point to you and your charming best mate that this is a forum to discuss football on. Feel free to disagree with me on football matters but name calling or getting personal is just not on, as your best mate has been told about by the mods. Either way I don't think either of you are winning many friends for your club this way, so good luck with that. If you want to resort to name calling just send me a PM and be done with it. Let's leave the forum to discuss football matters.

Back on football: like said I don't think Twente has much of a chance myself. I just don't think we're canon fodder either. That sums up my position on this.

Pablo is allowed to voice his opinion. I don't see him lying and ranting about Twente.

Just for the record: I'm only going to respond to football-related posts of yours and Pablo's from now on.

I wouldn't downplay Twente's chances. Tottenham and Bremen are the two most sporadic and unpredictable teams in their respective leagues. One week they light it on fire and the next they are awful. Also, Bremen's track record in the CL is poor. They consistently take 3rd in their group for the parachute into the EL. Tottenham is a wild card as they have not been in the CL....in really ever. Twente is not the outsider in this group. They are going to be in the mix.

I've just published a CL Group Stage Round Table preview in collaboration with Salaar Shamsi, Tim Fontenault, Samrin Hasib, Yoosof Farah, Khalid Khan, Salomon Gonzales, and Andrew Jordan.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/4...-a-round-table

Please, please give it a read and definitely comment.

    Thanking you,

Sure, that's why he was voted into the all stars team of every international tournament he participated in.

And he's only 25 years old, so you will have the pleasure of seeing him play football on the highest level for 6-8 more years :)

LOL +1. And sure, since he's a midget who cant defend and only attack, he is plying his trade for a European Elite side, whilst a long-list of admiring clubs are waiting to pounce for his services.

He deserves to play in a team which isnt heavily-reliant on him, clearly Munich have their defensive concerns...1. Van Buyten should be played as a striker..he's in that half of the pitch anyway...2.Contento is too raw to play first-team CB..3.Demichelis is just a poor CB, they should never have let Lucio go. :(

You know that in football people parrot eachother. Called hyping.
Almost every Dutch real winger from our league has no problem with him I'm sure. The problem is that in the German League you don't get real wingers against you. Only Robben and Elia, and one of them is on the same team.

Lahm not facing true wingers? Call me an idiot, but since Robben is on the same team.... There's perhaps this small chance of the two actually training together, possibly facing eachother in a training game?

There's not many teams around who wouldn't welcome Lahm.

There were some good results in the first-round of UCL games. Congrats to Arsenal and Barcelona on their emphatic results.

Real Madrid should of won by alot, lot more, but Di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo were wasteful infront of goal. Finally, if Ranieri's Roma wants to qualify out of their group, they better change their style of play, this is considering Cluj is part of the group and they did beat Roma quite recently in the UCL..:)

I'm so ashamed of Ajax, okay, we don't have the money to buy the best players in the world, but at least try to make something of the game.
The midfielders were jogging like they didn't care that their midfielders went to the goal. Anita shouldn't even get a spot at the Ajax amateurs. They don't deserve the Ajax shirt, we have pride. We're lucky that C.Ronaldo forgot his contact lenses.

But so what? We aren't there to see it. For all we know, Robben skins Lahm's ass every day in training...

If that would be the case, you'd at least think Lahm would learn from it and try to stop it from happening again?

Ajax is no-longer a European Heavyweight, they have become more of a club who develop youth for other teams to purchase. I totally agree, Anita is yet to show any of his 'so-called' talents.

Yes, we develop talents, for our first team, but in the end we develop them for the teams with the biggest amount of money, like around 10 teams in Europe, we all know who they are. Money buys titles.
We are not growing talents for the rich teams, but we get offers we can't refuse. When a player can get 10 times more salary you can't keep him.
In the Dutch law he could go to court and say he wants to terminate his contract because of he can get a significant higher move on the social level in society, and then there's nothing Ajax can do.
Once we have a succesful team, the next year they are all gone. In 1995, we could keep up for 2,3 years before all players were sold. 95 Cl win, 96 CL final, 97 CL semi final, and since then every year worse results.
Until 2002, another great generation, almost semi finals CL, went down by a injury time goal against milan, the next year they were all gone.
In Holland we say 'het is vechten tegen de bierkaai' something like it's fighting a lost battle. I'm sure you have the same sort of problems in Marseille.
Maybe I sound like a whiner, but a lot of people here on the forum especially from outside of Europe don't understand how things are going.

That's not whining, it's the sad truth. It's all about the money.

Yeh, I totally agree. Nowadays, money does all the talking, seriously just like your Ajax team, I fear for Marseille's future as buying over-priced Frenchman like Briand and Gignac is not going to help us achieve anything. I'd be safe to say that our two best (recent performance and value-wise)talents will be leaving the Velodrome very soon. That is Mandanda & Valbuena. What happened to real football in the good old days?

In the end it wasn't much of a contest. At least not that part of the field.

The Pot 3 clubs have done better than expected. In five of the eight groups the Pot 3 club is ahead of the Pot 2 club and none of the Pot 3 clubs are in last.

Bale's just getting better and better. As for Maicon, he's no longer the world's best full-back. He will get further humiliated by natural-left sided players as the season goes on. Inter should of sold him for 35 mil to Real Madrid, then re-invested this money into new players.

It was never going to be a contest. Inter won't be same without Mourinho at the helm. Rafa's good, but Mourinho's a lot better.
