Lahm is better at defending than attacking.

Twente are a solid team, no doubt about that, but the standard of the Holland league compared to EPL; Serie A is slightly lower. Ruiz and De Jong are very nice talents but the loss of Stoch will certainly weaken your attack to some extent. All-in-all, should be a good game to watch, I'm going with a 2-1 win for Spurs.

    I think you finish last...remember when you met a team that was quality, like Arsenal (L 0-2, L 4-0), Werder Bremen (W 1-0, L 4-1).
And considering some of those results were with players like Elia, and now you have worse players, I think you have no chance.
Spurs with the best keeper from the Eredivisie of the last 10 years, arguably the best attacking midfielder from the Eredivisie of the last then years. I can go on..
The only game I give you a medium chance to win is at home against Werder.

Real full backs don't exist much anymore. Hope that a team in the Champions League will play with real wingers with chalk under their feet, than we gonna see who can defend and who not.

I guess it is winning the CL... But since the majority of the German teams don't play there the Bundesliga in general is the more important competition to the majority of fans here. More people watch it, anyways.

Well this is precisely why I think Twente will surprise a couple of people as like you nobody expects anything. You'd almost think Twente were just dumped into the CL for no reason at all. It was without Elia that Twente won the league last season you know. The club kept its star players (Douglas and Ruiz). Over the past 11 league games the club conceded one goal. I don't expect Twente to be lighting up the CL either. If our opponents have the same attitude as you have however it's going to be fun for Twente fans, especially at home.

I certainly wouldn't be confident about Tottenham winning both games at Twente, at least one will be a draw or Twente win.

Anything can happen on a particular night, but over the course of six matches Twente will be found out. They'll collect 3-5 points and that'll be it.

Possibly. Can I just ask why you think that? I mean is this based on you knowing Twente or you not rating the Dutch league?

Come on, you just won the league because PSV had a shit year and Ajax a shit first half of the season. You won everything with 1-0 in the 90st minute.
You got your ass beaten by Ajax 3-0. Every team that has some quality wins from you.

We beat Ajax at the Arena 1-0 just a month ago in the Dutch supercup. We also beat Ajax at home in the league last season. More importantly, we finished ahead of both Ajax and PSV two seasons in a row, or technically with Ajax even three times in a row.

Then of course that is exactly what makes you feel so bitter about Twente. Bless! A club with half of Ajax's and PSV's budget finishes above them both in the league table twice!

I know it's tough for you traditional top three fans but it's time to face reality, you don't dominate the league anymore. Maybe you can start a self-help group or something.

Look mate. I've supported FC Twente for the past 4 seasons, they are a decent side but seriously speaking, defeating Inter home and away will be very difficult, particularly if Sneijder/Milito/Pandev get going...and Werder Bremen have a solid defence (Naldo & Mertesacker) as well as a more-than-capable attack (Marin; Arnautovic; Almeida; Pizarro; Wesley).

Also, Tottenham have Defoe; Modric; Bale; Kranjcar and now VDV as attacking outlets. Twente's trip to White Hart Lane will be quite difficult.
Whether or not Twente will suffer due to lack of UCL Experience is questionable and will probably be the case. :)

I'm not disputing that we'll probably finish last. I was merely responding to Pablo and his blinkeredness.

We beat Bremen at home last season in the Europa League. And we beat Olympique Marseille away as you know. We're no pushovers and that in iself is a massive achievement considering that the likes of Bremen, Spurs, Inter, and your own Olympique Marseille all have budgets well over a hundred million a year against Twente's 35 million a year. A bit of respect is due.

You beat Ajax in the super cup, wonder why, we came with a second team because we had to play the qualification of the CL, and you know that wanker.
You have a pretty big mouth for a team that won one league in their whole history. You better lower your tone against the 29th champion, 4times CL, 2 time world cup, 18 time national cup, 1x ec2, 1x uefa cup - winner.

You just have a minority complex against everything that is from the west of the country, a typical tukker, just like your chairman, you were happier that you ranked above the western teams from the big city than that you became the champion.
Well enjoy it for another week or so, because in the league you won one game until now and in the Champions league you will get brought back to earth!

We here are all realistic and you can't stand it, you know from deep inside that you have absolutely not a chance in the Champions League, or if you don't know it and believe in the chances of Twente, you only watch the Eredivisie.

and you got your ass kicked at Bremen 4-1, with a better team than you now have. And when you lose you bring up the money, how poor you are. You can't win against Roda JC, have you seen their budget, I have more in my wallet.

And you can't win the league and I've seen your budget. 65 million a year it is, yet you're 21 million in debt, haven't won a league title in six years, and you're slagging off profitable, league winning Twente's achievements? Do you even realise how pathetic that is?

on who? El Hamdaoui was bought with the money from the Sulejmani deal, which unfortunately didn't make it. Then we have a 30 year old finnish guy, a 36 year old dutchman and a Egyption rebel for free. For the others, all homegrown youth.

    And you?
Janko, Bengtson, Bajrami, Rosales, Chadli. So who is spending?

Please shut up for your own good, incompetent country girl.

It's based on how the Dutch champions typically do in the CL. And combining that with the fact that Twente landed in the Group of Death.
