When following the game on Twitter too, it does suck. Funny tho how The Emirates Cup earlier this month on Gol TV was anywhere from 30-10 minutes delayed - and billed as "Live"

so i'm trying to watch Sky Sports News for the final minutes of the transfer deadline ... they go to a commercial with 9 minutes left...

while doing that, FSC runs a 6 minute champions league commercial which runs all the way to the end of hour, and into a new show. So, I never got to see any last minute rumors/deals.

    Great timing, FSC.

It's a conspiracy to make you go to foxsoccer.com or wait for FSR. [IMG]

um ... Sky Sports News also went to commercial. It's on again at 7.

but maybe there's news on the ESPN ticker.

I think Martino and Eva Amurri are dating. It does look kind of pathetic that on the 3rd episode, they have to resort to calling in the host's girlfriend and her celebrity Mom. I thought the 2nd show with Donovan was actually OK, but some of the things (the twitter girls, the awkward celebrity interviews) are really, really bad. Martino is pretty good, I think he should go for the soccer color guy role and not a show like this, but I guess he's trying.

Agree. I missed the first episode but saw the second episode so I was wondering why everyone was complaining so much. After seeing the third episode (or 10 minutes of it, anyway), I now know why.

    H O R R I B L E ! !

Not sure who it was, but the dude they showed on the graphic whilst Lara informed us of the Armand Traore loan to Juve was not Armand Traore!

Somebody tell FSC that the River Plate in the Copa Sudamericana is not from Argentina.

they dont run the bottom line during all live games, but 'second tier' games like ccl, mls, and rugby they do. every 10 ********ing minutes. even worse, it stays on the screen for 5 minutes. even if there are only a few items on the bottom line they cycle through it for the full 5 minutes. just watched glasgow v leinster and that ********ing cancer was on the screen for half the game.

    unbelievable

agreed, that thing is horrible, way too thick and the abbrieviations they use for the teams make mostly no sense whatsoever. And once would be enough, seriously, with wifi, i-phones, laptops nobody needs this today (same for es*n) if you want to know you'd probably know by now and if not it's all just a click away.

what's next, watching every t.v. show only when it's on and watching the news on t.v.? :)

and it was a special touch to wait 50mins into the broadcast to mention that bob bradley was re-signed as US MEn's coach. it was news by at least 6pm cst , the "report" isn't recorded that early. This wouldn't be the first time they've done something similar re: US Soccer.

the show is basically a small time , cdn show that just happens to have the Fox Soccer title and is shown on that network.

FSC did make one adjustment: starting England vs Bulgaria at 2:58pm ET for a 3pm ET kickoff so that FSC didn't need to resort to the annoying "3-minute delay".

Let's see whether FSC will make additional adjustments after Labor Day weekend. Having Soccer Talk Live take a week off is a good thing...

agreed, it is just so unbelievably stupid and aggravating. its hard to believe that fox soccer is not run by blind and retarded monkeys. the bottomline is as oudated as the vcr is yet they cling to it like its some hot new technology.

before setanta usa went down and fs+ was created, fox soccer didnt have this problem. then they got their 2nd channel and i think they also got a new vp or director? i honestly feel like theyre mimicking all of espn's bad habits in an effort to come across as some hot new sports network. funny thing is espn learned their lesson. sorta, mls and usa games still have the cancer on the screen. a couple world cup games had the team jersey colors as a permanent attachment to the scoreboard the whole game(because a couple of retards complained online about not knowing which team was which) but a couple hours later it was taken off for the 3rd match of the day. fox soccer on the other hand is just clueless.

a couple more weeks of this and im gonna drop my subscription and just use footytorrents and acrossthetasman to get my football and rugby fix. no point in paying to be aggitated by retards.

    Automation does have its consequences.

ESPN's ticker works a little better because it is either constantly being updated by humans or at least by something more cogent than an internet feed of story headlines.

It's kind of funny to cal people retards when you don't even use capital letters.

The Premier League broadcasts put the jersey colors on their scoreboard. Does that mean they are catering to retards?

For the people who didn't agree with me on the 3 minute or so delay for certain live games, you're all crazy.

So let's say I'm watching whatever game is on FSC (in SD of course) at 10:00 am ET on Saturday, when a bunch of other games are going on. Let's also say I want to follow along with the other games on live text, say via ESPN Soccernet or the BBC. With a 3 minute delay, I can't really do that, because chances are if there's a goal in the game I'm watching, I'll see it on the live text before I see it on TV.

    That's not good.

    oh, good one.

there is a difference between stylishly and compactly fitting it in like they do, and just doubling the amount of graphic on the scoreboard like espn did. kinda like how fsc manually attaches the name of the competition to the scoreboard now. ever hear of the info button? retards.

seriously, when you try and make a case for how stupid Fox is and then bring up the fact that you can't put a cellphone down, your case is closed

Yes, that mobile device called my "desktop monitor".

You're right, I should only be interested in the game that FOX Soccer Channel dictates I should be interested in, instead of say other games in the league, even if said games have a direct bearing on my preferred team and/or the game I'm watching.

First off, FSC is not dictating anything to you. They put the game on. You want to watch it,then watch it. You dont want to get a score of that game before it is on Fox then dont have the devices around that might cause this to happen. You're creating your own dilemna not FSC. For years I have DVR'd matches that are shown here at @2:45 in the afternoon and the watched them at 7:45 that night(the time they were played in Europe.) If that game is really important to me, I avoid the score by simply avoiding the media that would give it to me. It's not rocket science, champ. It's a skill that gets better with time and effort.

    Please stop the stupid.

I'm not talking about a scenario in which I DVR a game at work and then watch it hours later. There is no pretense there that I am watching the game live.

This is different to the scenario in which I am watching a game "live" but would also like to keep up with other games going on at the same time.

So if your team was playing an important game, and it's biggest rival was also playing a game, and only the latter game was on TV, you wouldn't try to watch one and follow the other?

There are ways to follow multiple games without spoiling the game you are watching. If you're really that concerned about it, stream the other games you want to follow.

    off the purple line
Let's include FS+ in this thread. I'm finally getting to the Bordeaux-OM game from last week (which I know nothing about since I've avoided any sites where I might see the score). I am 30 minutes in and the crawl/ticker has just popped up for the third time. Each time this stupid thing runs for 5 minutes, where it shows the same scintillating headlines (4 of them) followed by a switch to an announcement that Inter's game airs on Monday. Then back to these same headlines. The ticker stops for 5 minutes and starts again, where it runs for 5 minutes. In short, this ticker will run for 50% of the game, telling me nothing and ending every time with a note that if I want more information I can go to Fox's web site. Unbelievable.
