There have been media reports flying around Germany all day that Hannover 96 is interested in taking BVB midfielder Tamas Hajnal on loan.

Hannover Sport Director (General Manager) Jörg Schmadtke was in Dortmund on Sunday, but said he didn't want to fuel speculation of what his intentions are.

Schmadtke stated that Hannover could go back into the transfer market if club boss Martin Kind agrees to make funds available.

The speculation is rampant since new Hannover playmaker Carlitos went down with a torn ACL suffered in Hannover's 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

I'm not Hajnal's biggest fan, but if this is true, I'd try to get them to take Markus Feulner first......

Slomka Wants A Carlitos Replacement Quickly – Skeptical About Hajnal Chances

After losing new acquisition Carlitos to a torn ACL, the coach of Bundesliga club Hannover 96, Mirko Slomka, wants a replacement for Carlitos before the this coming weekend’s match against FC Scheisse 04.

Slomka said, “I’m certain we need an alternative quickly.” It is rumored that Hannover is searching for another central midfield player in addition to a Carlitos replacement.

It is questionable whether out of favor Borussia Dortmund midfielder Tamas Hajnal will be one of those players.

Slomka said, “Right now, I would not count on this possibility. I don’t believe we can raise the money for the transfer, nor has the player decided in which direction he wants to go.”

Stuff From The August 25, 2010 SportBild [R]

Today's SportBild quotes Nelson Valdez as stating: "I always gave everything (for BVB) and as a 'thank you', I got a kick in the ass!"

Valdez also claims we are at fault for his failure because he was played "out of position" too much.

He claims he needed to be a central or second striker and found himself out on the left or right too much.

I think Valdez is giving us a bit of "revisionist history" here.

As I recall, Valdez wasn't made to play out on the wings until after he failed miserably as a striker.

BVB even bought Mladen Petric to play midfield because Valdez and Frei already occupied the spots up front!

BVB gave Nelson Valdez more than enough opportunity to prove himself as a central striker.

And Valdez FAILED time and time again.

The "kick in the ass" was long overdue as far as I'm concerned.

SportBild also had a column about the Kagawa transfer.

I never knew that Kagawa was a guest of the club at our 100th Anniversary game and ceremonies.

The main thing in the column is that all at BVB are surprised that Kagawa has taken to Germany and the German game so quickly.

Also, as much I criticize BVB for bad scouting, I have to stress that BVB's Scouting Department did MORE THAN A SUPERB JOB HERE!!

That they discovered a talent such a Kagawa in the Japanese 2nd League is amazing.

Kagawa was no secret to Japanese insiders, but how many of them work for BVB??

Again, great credit has to be given to not only the Scouting Department, but to Michael Zorc for this one.

Even if he doesn't get any better than he shows now, he's worth a hell of a lot more than the 350,000 Euros we paid!

A GREAT JOB BY BVB SCOUTING AND MANAGEMENT!! A GREAT F#CKING JOB!!!

At the end of the Kagawa column, they address the possiblity of us improving the roster before the transfer window closes. All they do is repeat Zorc's comment that "we" will meet about this after Thursday's Europa League second leg playoff match in Baku.

I assume by "we", Zorc means himself, Watzke and Klopp........

Who could we get that would actually strengthen us? I don't know.

But if we can't trust Hajnal and Feulner to be good central midfield backups, I wouldn't mind us getting some depth there.

Especially if it is someone who knows how to control the f#cking ball.

I could also go for a decent backup left back.

BILD Article On Upcoming Possible BVB Transfers [R]

Hajnal Looking Abroad – Rangelov Also Looking To Leave

Will Klopp Get A New Star??

Borussia Dortmund arrived in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku yesterday. Even though BVB had already paid an additional 150 Euros per person for what should have been faster VIP customs processing, the team was still held up for nearly two hours at the airport.

***This reminds me of the difficulties we have in dealing with the Azeris at work. Always f#cking painful!

Perhaps this was a bit of payback for BVB’s 4-0 victory in the first leg of the playoff……

Tamas Hajnal doesn’t have such worries. The diminutive playmaker volunteered to remain in Dortmund to work on his possible transfer out of Dortmund. It is very possible that another player could also leave Dortmund before the current transfer period ends.

Fact is, Hajnal, whose transfer fee is estimated to be about 1.5M Euros, is wanted by fellow Bundesliga club Hannover 96, but Hajnal is searching for a club playing in either the UEFA Europa League or the UEFA Champions’ League. This is another reason he won’t play a role in tonight’s second-leg playoff match in Baku.

Striker Dimitar Rangelov is on Dortmund’s 18-player roster, but his days in Dortmund are also numbered. Bild speculates that the Bulgarian is also being pushed out by BVB.

SC Freiburg is reportedly interested in him.

You have two players departing, the sale of Nelson Valdez to Hercules Alicante and if the team advances to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League, money for strengthening the team is there.

Will Klopp get a new star? Zorc maintains nothing will be decided before advancement to the UEFA Europa League group stage is decided.

The evidence paints a different picture………

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My Comments: I think the club could be getting ready two scenarios.

The first and more likely scenario of making the UEFA Europa League would see the club indeed let Hajnal and Rangelov go. They would then sign Antonio da Silva and another player.

A few people on our e-mail list would like the other player to be Senad Ibricic of Hajduk Split.

We’re having that discussion on the e-mail list. But I agree with them. Ibricic should be down to a price BVB can afford.

I’d go get Ibricic, put him in the center, move Kagawa to the right and bench Kuba.

The second and least likely scenario would be the team somehow blowing the 4-0 lead in Baku tonight and team simply dumping salary.

Back to the two current BVB players in question.

In my opinion, Hajnal should have been sold during the winter break.

However, I get that the club probably wanted to keep Hajnal around as insurance should Kagawa have had a difficult start.

I really think Hajnal was “out” with the rest of the team after he cost us three points in last season’s home match against Hoffenheim.

I believe Hajnal has served his purpose in Dortmund and it is time for him to go.

For me, Rangelov is another story. Him, I would keep around. He’s no star and he probably could play more and score at a club like Freiburg, but I think could be good depth on the bench even after Zidan returns.

However, I also believe the club thinks LeTallec, Stiepermann and/or Ginzeck can fill this role too.

And the club might be right.

So while I think we should keep Rangelov, I fully understand why the club is willing to let him go.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yeah. Hopefully, Zidan will be back in Dortmund in a couple of weeks and ready to play around the October timeframe.

Those aren't solid "dates", just guessing by me.

This is another reason I don't think Zorc will go for Ibricic.

In a pinch, we can always put Zidan back in midfield.

I never thought BVB would look at him. We're already overloaded in midfield, although I believe Ibricic would be an improvement.

Just entertaining the thoughts of a couple of e-mail listers.

They make some good points, but one guy tends to overrate this type of player anyhow.

It's not hard to improve over Hajnal.

And you have to admit it makes financial sense.

Besides, I get the feeling they'll actually buy someone else if they can sell or loan out Hajnal quickly enough.

i knew hed sign the moment he played in that friendly ... it seemed a lot of opportunity for a player that wouldnt at least be given a "trial " of sorts

It helped that he actually f#cking outplayed Hajnal.

Why shouldn't we sign someone who looked better if he's free and will get paid less than the f#cker who's done nothing for over a year?

Signing Da silva makes sense, since it seems we are getting rid of Hajnal and Rangelov and we need some depth for 3 competitons. But I still hope they will sign another one for the first team!

didnt mean it to come out that way and say it was a bad thing just an observation that he seemed more on trial than just training and keeping fit

that aside id prefer on the roster feulner over hajnal if one is to go

I'd prefer Hajnal and Feulner both were to leave.

Feulner is a bigger disappointment to me than Hajnal.

I knew when we bought Hajnal that we would only get one or two good seasons out of him.

    We only got one.

Feulner is a guy who I expected to flourish in Klopp's system as he did at Mainz.

    So far, nothing.

I'm pretty certain they want to dump Hajnal, but not so sure about Rangelov.

Wouldn't surprise me, but Klopp certainly is playing Rangelov as if we're keeping him.

Today, Borussia Dortmund confirmed the signing of midfielder Antonio da Silva to backup Nuri Sahin.

da Silva was a free agent and signed a contract with BVB for the remainder of this season.

da Silva had practiced with BVB all summer as a "guest player" and outplayed others such as Tamas Hajnal and Markus Feulner.

With this move, look for BVB to move work hard to move Hajnal out sometime today. The most likely move, if one happens, is to Hannover 96.

I'd say back and forth between the bench and the amateurs.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's looking for a new club too.

Loose "translation" of the da Silva signing article on the club's website:

BVB Acquires Midfielder Antonio Da Silva

Antonio da Silva (left) with Markus Feulner in a pre-season match.

Free agent midfielder Antonio da Silva
has been acquired by Borussia Dortmund.

The 32-year old Brazilian, who has been training with BVB since the beginning of July, signed a contract with BVB for the remainder of the current season.

The Rio born da Silva, who played for BVB coach Jürgen Klopp at FSV Mainz 05 from 2003-2006, moved to Germany as a 14-year old.

BVB Director of Sport Michael Zorc said of da Silva: "Toni impressed us in every aspect during the summer preparation period."

Zorc also referred to da Silva as "a substantial player who completes our midfield."

Transfermarkt says fee Galatasaray paid for Misimovic is 7 millions..Can anyone explain me, considering facts that Misimovic himself said he wants to leave Wolfsburg but he wants to stay in Bundesliga because his kids just got old enough for school and stuff and that we have money to invest because of the europa league, that we didn't even try to sign him..I think it would take balls to make such a move but I think this could be that ''thing'' that would finally take us to the next level..it would be a risky move which would, I think, paid of as soon as this season..

we just got 3,5 for nelson..they said we could be investing them before 1st september..loaning another 3,5 or whatever even though I think they could raise them if they ever tried..selling hajnal, feulner, rangelov or even kuba to get misimovic would be a smart move..I don't know, but think they should have found a way to make it happen..just my thoughts..and thanks for answering.. :)
