    Match Background​

    It won’t be easy for Barca to come back from the 3-1 defeat against Seville, but a quick look at the stats show that 25 of the results between the two at the Nou Camp in the league would be enough to give Guardiola’s men their 1st title of the season​

    25 of the 65 results between the two at the Nou Camp would be enough to overcome the 3-1 defeat last Saturday, whilst 10 would force extra time.​

    Never come back from behind before ​

    Barca have had to come from behind on three occasions in the Super Cup and the bad news is that they have yet to achieve success. In 1988 they lost 2-1 against Mallorca in the first leg, in 1993 they went down 3-1 at the Bernabeu, the same result they suffered against Atletico Madrid in 1985.​

    Honestly, I don't really wanna see the guys push hard to win this one. If Barça win, cool, but it's just a preseason game. Who am I kidding though, it's just not in them to take it easy.

    All I really want to see is Villa in the shirt.

    I'd like them to win the game and play well in front of the home crowd, even if we don't get the Copa on accumulation. We have depth problems, but

    Alves --------- Pique ----------- Puyol ------------ Abidal

    ------------------------ Busquets

    -------------- Xavi ----------------- Iniesta

    Messi ------------------- Ibra ------------------- Villa

    is a pretty damn tasty lineup.

    Not because of injuries but because of their fitness levels. Sergio and Villa are in great form and Xavi and Piqué are the most tired/unfit out of the 7 who travelled to Mexico.

    Worth pointing-out that Sevilla might field a weaker-side because of their huge match against Braga on Tuesday.

    No kidding, they have to come up big in that match or it's bye bye CL.

    They may as well suit up 11 kids and park them in the box.

    It would be if we could take advantage of this situation, start our strongest possible 11 and just go at them.

    It would be the perfect start to the season. Nothing beats a good remuntada for team morale.

    why would Pedro bench and Villa be shunted out to the left just to accomodate the underachieving Zlatan? IMO, until further notice, first-choice frontline should be MVP

    Sevilla indeed played a full strength team in Portugal, I saw the highlights. As for us, is there any indication that Iniesta is ready to go? If he is, then I feel much more relaxed.
