Tamas Hajnal Tipped To Leave Borussia Dortmund
The Hungarian was dropped at the weekend and now fears for his future...

Hungary international midfielder Tamas Hajnal’s future at Borussia Dortmund appears to be very much in the balance, according to kicker.

The 35-times capped player was not involved in BVB’s squad as they played their first competitive game of the season on Saturday, which was a German Cup (DFB Pokal) encounter against Burghausen. Not even making the bench surprised the 29-year-old, who only mustered 16 appearances in all competitions last term and had his pre-season campaign disrupted through injury.

Trust me, the only reason I'm posting a "Goal.com" article is because they got the information from kicker.

    From Bild.de......

Valdez Moves From Dortmund To Alicante

Nelson Valdez's switch from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund to Spanish Primera Division promotees Hercules Alicante is done.

The 26-year old Valdez confirmed the move to the Westdeutschen Allgemeinen Zeitung newspaper. The transfer fee will be around four million Euros.

Valdez said, "The two clubs have agreed and I have sent all the necessary paperwork to Spain. On Wednesday, I will travel to Alicante to be introduced."

Valdez, who moved to Dortmund in June 2006 and was contracted to Dortmund through June 2012, will now sign a new three-year contact with Hercules Alicante.

EDIT: According to this kicker article, Zorc says there are still some details to be worked out, but they've taken a huge step toward getting the deal done.

I still can't believe there's a team out there that values Valdez at 4m euros, especially given his "proficiency" in front of goal. :D

I think Hercules just wanted a Spanish-speaking World Cup player on their roster.

I hope Nelson Valdez finds success there.

Although at the time I'm writing this, nothing has been made "official" just yet.......

    Nothing is "official" yet.

BVB has not yet confirmed it is done.

Only Valdez and his agent have said it is all done.

My quick translation of an article currently on the BVB website.

    Valdez Transfer Not Completed Yet

Despite press releases to the contrary, the Nelson Valdez transfer to Spanish club Hercules Alicante is not completed yet.

However, BVB Director of Sport Michael Zorc admits “there are just some formalities left." Apparently, Borussia Dortmund has put some “security requirements” into the transfer contract which Alicante has not yet met.

***I'm sure this is because of the problems we had getting our money for Ebi Smolarek from Racing Santander.

Zorc also stated, "Everything is settled for the most part. I assume they will meet the requirements.”

Especially because Valdez is due to be unveiled as a new Alicante player today.

The Valdez transfer fee should put Borussia back in a good transfer budget situation. The expected amount led Zorc to admit that bringing in a new player before the 31 August transfer window closure could be possible, but is not planned at the present time.

Say What?? Bring in a new player before August 31st? That might be exciting although I wouldn't be disappointed to just sit on the money till January or even next year.
