Didn't know where to put this - merge it if you find a better fit. Donovan will be on David Letterman tonight. He's also scheduled to be on Jon Stewart tomorrow (Wednesday) and a show called "Money Rocks" with Eric Bolling on Fox Business Network (?) on Wednesday as well. [Apparently it's a new show?] Also - Dancing With the Stars is trying to get him for their upcoming season! Please, say NO, Landon!!
If we can't figure out how to win against AC Whothehellareyouagain without LD, we're probably not going to take all four competitions.
Ha, I didn't expect him to play, but I thought he and Buddle might show up in suits to support the boys and make an appearance.

Yup. I very much expected that from him too (of all 'people'). But guess it's good for his..profile? Like someone said before..let the LD's circus begins..
Huh? He mentioned the Galaxy and the upcoming game in quite a few of his interviews. Mentioned how he and Edson watched online when they could. He even mentioned how they just won on Tuesday night. Mentioned there's a big 4th of July game on Sunday.
Not on Letterman. Did he do this on one of the morning shows or Jon Stewart or something? BTW, in a related but totally not related story, Bob Bradley threw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium yesterday. No mentch on the radio, nothing on TV. YES Network Hates Soccer!!!!11!!1!
He did it on Jon Stewart. He might have mentioned it on Regis and Kelly and possibly the Early Show as well - I'm almost positive. I know he mentioned it on at least 2 if not 3 of his on-air interviews - maybe the Money Rocks show? Oh, and YES Network is going to air an interview with him on July 23. I don't even know what the YES Network is! **Oh, and let's remember....he can only answer the freakin' questions he's asked. And he's been interviewed by a bunch of people who really, really don't know about soccer. The Money Rocks guy I think made LD mad - just by the look on his face - when he said something like "so what's with soccer, I hate the ties, why can't they just keep playing till somebody wins, they could go to GOAL KICKS." The smile dropped from LD's face and he says something like, well, what do you want us to do....blah, blah, blah...it's just the way the game is played.
YES Network: Yankees Entertainment and Sports network. It's the Yankees' own cable TV network that airs Yankees games, Yankees documentaries, and a really rather good long-format interview show by a Yankees broadcaster called "Center Stage". I'm hoping he's on the latter; LD's a good interview.
Yeah - of the 4 big media shows he did - he mentioned playing for the Galaxy Sunday night in all of them but Letterman. I thought the Early Show interview was the best. That guy seemed to actually know a little bit about the game and asked some half-way intelligent questions.
Sorry but I'm callin BS. He is the face of the league and he needs to mention MLS and the Galaxy on every show. Not a peep on Letterman which is the biggest of all the shows he has been on. This is a huge opportunity for free marketing of the league and he didn't step up to the plate.
I did too. The guy on Money Rocks seems like he was in Sam Donaldson mode. He was kind of grilling LD, almost interrupting him in his answers.

This is complete nonsense, anyone with any experience (this is LA and I'm sure there are entertainment industry people on this board) in dealing with these kinds of talks shows (including Letterman) knows that you tell them what you want to talk about and they then do pre-interviews and then the on-air interview based on that. So if MLS and/or LA Galaxy weren't mentioned, it's because Landon Donovan didn't want to discuss the topic.
