Bad header by Torres, but this ball is hard to head in.

with Chile playing a 3-3-1-3 formation, would it not make sense to play two wingers, like Navas and Pedro for instance? all this playing through the middle is not going to work

Going fast with the yellows for Chile, can't say one of them was undeserved.

    Re: Goooool

Jesus, he hit it really well. Didn't even stop to control the ball, right away with the kick towards the goal and with this ball.

I guess that's why teams don't come out attacking against Spain. Get hit on the counter. ;)

    Re: Goooool

Yeah. Given this new ball I waited until the ball actually hit the back of the net before I began celebrating.

    Re: Goooool

Giving the ball to Torres equals attack ruined. Worse than normally, he is highly out of form.

Good save by Pique who had to sprint back after that corner.

The Chileans are losing their heads, they are still through though. Stay calm people.

    Re: Goooool

Finally the control in the midfield again, which looked inexistant in the beginning.

Harsh call on Estrada. Torres tripped himself.

    Re: Goooool

He should have been sent off earlier with a 2nd yellow card though, with that foul where the Spanish players got around the ref. The referee pardoned the yellow.

I thought he caught Torres but not intentionally.

    Re: Goooool

Should have been a yellow there for Ponce for stepping on Xabi with his studs.

Again, I don't see any undeserved yellow cards so far.

Chile started off the better team, I think Villa's goal killed their spirit.

    Juanele, you mean Bravo's f-up. :p

After that though, Spain have looked more the part of the Euro 2008 champs.

Torres needs to be subbed. He's downright awful.
