I have given NZ plenty of kudos for their heart and how they are scrapping for everything

    but

NZ has been giving possession away way to easily and in that sense have been riding their luck, even Simon Elliot has mentioned this

    have they not?

you seem incapable of analyzing how the games have gone down.

they can get something out of Paraguay but it will be their hardest match so far

btw The All Whites are not my team and never will be, I grew up supporting the Peru NT and will never change allegiances, regardless of their how shit they are.

but I will watch the All Whites against Paraguay on Friday morning and hope they play their hearts out and I am sure they will

    nope sorry try again

put money on Germany but that's about as far as my support for anyone really goes

I would like the Conmebol teams to do well and believe it or not I want NZ to also do well

that doesn't mean they cant be criticized for certain aspects of their play just like every other team in this WC

With all due respect to NZ if we can't beat them then we don't deserve to through and the coach should be fired.

I do think this game will be much more open as Paraguay will attack and NZ will also be forced to attack.

    New Zealand.

I can analyze to my hearts content, it would only be disapproved by others here so whats the point in going into great detail. Your views are yours and mine are mine.

That aside, NZ's captain and coach are down and out with stomach bugs apparently. This is a major blow I reckon. Nelsen is a great captain and player :(

This is like the first Rugby world cup where S.A. poisoned our players! Hope nothing devious is happening there

if I was picking a team of the tournament so far Nelsen would be in the mix no doubt

hopefully its not as bad as what the All Blacks had in 95, so far it seems only Nelsen and Herbert are the only ones affected so it doesn't look like the whole squad which is a silver lining

Nelsen has to start and I am sure he will even if he isn't 80%

Yip good news, he was only left out of the last run because Herbert was worried he didnt want him getting worse.

Good luck to NZ, will be cheering them on again. I just worry that Paraguay's style will be too much for NZ as while they were able to nearly completely shut out teams like Italy & Slovakia with their heart in defence, I think Paraguay's style will be a bit too tricky for NZ's physical, 2nd division English style.

Hope I am wrong, but I think Paraguay will win this by at least 2

New Zealand should score an early goal to win this one: 1-0

hello, first of all, I don`t think you got too many chances of coming out victorious on this one. Paraguay is probably the best team in the group as how their results and performance of all the rivals have been presented. They are very tough and never quit when things present themselves adverse, reason why their players are wanted everywhere and why they are very succesful too. In league teams, if ever you are loosing a match, its in this moment that you should have a player from Paraguay in your team, since he will put all his effort in a 150 %, also stimulating the rest of the team to achieve a better result. But this is not league team cup, but World cup, with national teams, therefore you will not face 1 player from Paraguay, but 11, so if your team ever has a chance against them, you better be prepared to let the game advance before you score on them, because once you do, you`ll feel a nightmare, as they will start attacking and once they achieve the tie, they will continue attacking and here is when they become more dangerous, they`ll smash you. In South America, not even Brazil or Argentina are inmune against them, and its not a matter of playing as a home team, they can smash you even in your own home. During the qualies for this cup, they kicked our "buttocks" in Santiago with no mercy by 0 to 3, and if injuries haven`t affected them towards the end of those qualies, they probably would have won them, even over Brazil. Don`t underestimate their potential. This match can end very easy, as a bigger than 3 goals of diference, so be aware with them. Anyhow, good luck and if fortune is with you, you can achieve victory too, because despite of them being so tough, they aren`t unbeatable, only that to achieve this you must never ever loose concentration.

Paraguay are nothing special and NZ have shown in their first two games that they are resilient - providing Nelsen is fit.

I hope NZ get the result, would be fantastic if they went through to the knockouts.

He's a good coach and formations are good but his choices suck.

Like with insisting on continuously starting Haedo Valdez who everyone knows can't score for his life.

Picking shitty midfielders like Victor Caceres and Nestor Ortigoza over a talented one like Osvaldo Martinez.

And just not being very confident, after the draw with Italy he was saying that 3 draws could be enough to advance... why would he even be satisfied with 3 draws? Especially when we we're stronger then the next 2 opponents coming up.

Sometimes I wish Chilavert was in the coaching staff to give the team more fire.
