His free kick at the end of the Hull match was crap.

He also needs to work harder defensively.

21 yo, foreign and already being given the responsibility to hit left corners and some spot kicks. Good things to come given that he's been thrown into the fire.

    Thank you Megson

I agree, that is his #1 weakness thus far. Gives his man far too much space to pick out a target and fire away.

However, to be fair defense has been a pitfall of the entire team, not just Lee's. Hopefully the new manager will be able to revamp Bolton's defense and we'll actually see a clean sheet this season!

We will get a clean sheet within 3 games of the new manager, he will go back to basics and make sure everyone fights for balls.

    Re: 2009 Summer Transfer Window

LCY is such an exciting player, but I get bothered by the weird ethos of most Korean athletes (e.g. baseball players here in the States, like Chan-ho Park and Byung-hyun Kim). They seem to put an incredible pressure on themselves to not derive any joy from success and to be disappointed in themselves. Have there been any interviews with LCY translated into English, that consist of more than platitudes? I'd like to see how he really feels about things.

Also, why does his shirt say "Chung-Yong" on it instead of "Lee"? That's not his family name.

Because you don't have to have your surname on your shirt, Lassana Diarra is called 'Lass', almost every Brazilian makes some shit up as well. I imagine he chose to put Chung-Yong on his shirt, probably due to his time playing in Asia where everyone is called Lee, Soo or Park.

Do you think Bolton should cash in on him if he does well in the World Cup or were you just joking?

I think Shittu has bulked up even more for this World Cup, against some of the Greeks today he was literally twice as wide. Maybe we can sell him based on weight.

Chungy's been awesome this season and in my opinion, he should stay at Bolton where he would be one of the best players rather than go off somewhere else, not get first team football and not develop.

I'm not arsed about his development if someone wants to flash a wad of cash in our direction for him!

He scored a goal today against the mean uruguay defense that hasn't conceded a goal during the group stage.

I reckon we'd get more out of him staying than if we wasted the money we got for him on a load of crap players.

For example: we sold Anelka and I thought we might get some good players from his £15m. Wait, no, we got Elmander. What good spending!
