They completely misrepresented them. What lousy journalism...

Well, at least they provided the quotes.

Well, I do hope that Germany will win the final if they reach it!. they have lost too many already. The ratio finals/wins isn't looking very good;)...

Sorry, but Friedrich is def. not better either.:D In contrast Tasci is able to initiate counterattacks by playing superb opening long-side passes. I´d rather see Badstuber in there for him but Löw seems to regard Fritz as essential for our defense due to the low average age.

Oh Dude, its Tim Cahill. The Australian play-maker I guess, but I hope we´ll not get to see somethin like a "play" from them at all. ;)

Seems like soccernet has a clear anti-German agenda.

First the botched Podolski and Marin quotes and now they make this out of
    Löw's totally respectful remarks:

Loew said that kroos, marin and oezil are guys who can do what he wants - "embarass with playing skills". Maybe he's going to surprise us and put these guys on, or else why would he talk about a main goal of his with their names directly linked?

Completely different from what they wrote in the article...
I would have thought ESPN was more serious journalism...

Squid can you please post a link?

"embarrass" means "lächerlich machen" in German and I simply don't believe Löw would use that word.

I agree with you. The translation to english would probably be better served using "disarm" or even "show up". That is what Loew meant. But even "embarass" works if the writer puts it in the right context.

Well I don't see an actual German quote there???

I guess it's the dpa who ********ed that translation up.

Found the German original. It's "Wir wollen in der Lage sein, Gegner auch spielerisch in Verlegenheit zu bringen."

Definitely more harmless than embarrass but I can't translate it either. :D

Yeah, I meant that bild article. I realised as soon as I read it what Loew meant.....they put it into context well enough with the talk around that phrase, unlike the ESPN one which left it out there for interpretation. Typical. Or just lazy.

Also, he's not our playmaker, Kewell is. Tim is an attacking midfielder/shadow striker.

I see :). It's just that I had a completely different image in my mind about what he looks like, lol. I'm sure I've seen him in the Premier League... I guess I must have been confused, I'm not good at remembering people's faces anyway :). There isn't another Tim Cahill in the Premier League, is there...?.

He's not much of a winger these days. Left attacking midfielder is closer to the mark.

He really looked different on that first picture. Like they crossed him with some rugby player from New Zealand.

That´s the Tim Cahill I would recognize:

Been like that for a while. I'm surprised they allow Uli to be a contributor.
