Hi, I (17) and my father will be going to the wolves game on April 3rd and we were wondering what to do on match day (prior and post kickoff). Are Digital Cameras allowed in the stadium? When is the best time to go to the armoury? Or what should everyone first timer(first time to England) buy at a match lets say a scarf or a jersey? Recommendations on where do eat thats close by the grounds? Just any sort of advice that could better our trip to emirates. Do the players sign items after the games? anything would be appreciated. Thanks again. I can't wait for the game!

Digital cameras are fine, you can take backpacks in as well. As for eating there are tons of kebab shops between Finsbury Park and Arsenal, and there's also the Madeira Cafe across from Finsbury Park station. Gunners Pub is also a pretty cool spot just up the street from the Arsenal tavern.

    You'll have a blast!

The ArsenalAmerica Road Trip is taking place that weekend, so there'll be tons of Yank Gooners there. If you haven't already, reach out to Josh Templeton (Maryland_Gunner14), who's organizing the trip.

You must try to take the legends tour, and visit the museum, next to the stadium.......you'll be glad that you did.

I think if I were you I would go to the club shop a day or two before the game. I'm sure it's a total scrum on a match day and you'll have more time and space. Buy whatever you want, I think the closest thing to a mandatory piece of merchandise one should have is a red and white bar scarf, but people wear tons of different stuff and IMO the more eclectic the better. If some old guy is selling vintage 1993 League Cup final scarves, go for it.

edit: Also if you go a day before you'll get a chance to go to the club museum, which is modest but cool nonetheless.

There is alot of merch right outside the Arsenal Tube stop and on the way to the ground that you should look at. Some have autographed pictures framed, scarfs, hats, funny shirts, etc...

If you do the tour, I would try to get one with Charlie George. Not only is he a great source of Arsenal history, but he also gives great insight into being a player and what is going on at the club today.

Indeed...Josh has booked the tour with CG for Thursday morning. Also don't forget to bring your ArseAm card for 20% off purchases from the Armoury.

Contact Mark at membership[at]arsenalamerica.com and tell him that you're going on the trip and would like your membership card to use at the Armoury for the 20% discount. He can email you a pdf of it.

There's lots of pubs in the area worth checking out; i'm partial towards the twelve pins in finsbury park(google it). Kind of a dump, but I like the fact that the crowd's a bit rough around the edges. I'd definitely say you should pop into the gunners on blackstock road, as it's completely loaded with arsenal memorabilia.

If it's your first time at the Emirates, i'd say get in a good 45 minutes before the match starts to take it all in. Watching the players warm up is cool, especially if you're sitting lower tier.

We just got married and are taking our honeymoon in England and with Arsenal. Thanks to Arsenal America we have tickets for the Man City game on the 24th. We get into Heathrow on Sunday April 18 at 10 AM on the day Arsenal play Wigan at 1:30PM. Will the game be televised in London? And where would be a good pub to watch the game? Never been to London before so we are hoping for some help from our fellow Gunners. Thanks. John

It's on sky so there will be a ton of pubs showing it. If you want to watch it with gooners, go to the twelve pins in finsbury park(on the piccadilly line so you don't have to change if you're coming straight from heathrow). Seven pound entry, and you get two drinks. It gets a bit crowded/stuffy in there at times, but I think it's the closest you'll get to the matchday experience at a pub- in fact, i'd probably say that the atmosphere in there is better than what you see a the emirates most of the time.

Pins will be the best for atmosphere, but if you don't want to pay a cover or stand the whole time then Arsenal Tavern on Blackstock is probably the next best option.

I'll be there for the Emirates Cup, will my current AA card get the discount? I'm not sure my renewal pass will be sent out before my trip since we renew our AA membership during July.

Also, I believe one of the AA officers told me in a prior email they didn't think our AA card gets us the 20% discount.

    Cheers..

idk but when I was there I went to use it on match day and apparently the cards are only good on non-match day. So be sure to check out the armoury before match day
