Perhaps even more important (although irrelevant to the stats) is that Valencia have a midweek match in the Europa League against Werder Bremen. :)

I was hoping this match wouldn't be so crucial.

If all goes well, I'll be live posting from inside the Camp Nou. I'll let you guys know how the FIFA CWC badge looks like in person. :)

I started getting texts today about "pack a coat for BCN" and I thought yeah whatever. Then I saw the pics.

Looks like it'll be the long-sleeve yellow away shirt for me (with thermals underneath perhaps).

Valencia were held to a scoreless draw at home today against Racing. Canales had a few chances to win it outright but failed to do so.

This makes 10 points out of 12 for Racing in their last four Liga games here.

More mobile than Zlatan, a corpse is more mobile than Zlatan. I'd go with Henry upfront.

Won't Ibra be suspended for the Valencia game?

Yeah, and so will Pep. So Pep can maybe start Ibra--on passing him the tapas they must hand out in the luxury boxes. (Monty, find out about this on Sunday and report back. ;))

Edit: speaking of Pep's ejection, apparently we got hosed: cameras show Pep being actually pretty respectful in his language and demeanor. This doesn't square away with what the ref Clos Gomez wrote in his official match report that Pep said to him at all...

Also, this article gives the juicy deets on the linesman Juan Jose Gallego in the Almeria match who is, according to commentator and retired GK Santiago Cañizares, a full-fledged madridista, and who had a big role in both red cards. The three officials were later spotted in their hotel lobby watching LPB-Sevilla, with Gallego visibly "lamenting" missed LPB goal opportunities. Clos Gomez later suggested they each watch the game in their respective rooms. Hmm.

Of course the source is Sport, so
And I applaud Pep and Ibra not making a huge fuss and just getting on with it.

But actually, they're appealing the suspension. I'm sure the FA will do the right thing and let Ibra play.

It must have been awkward for Pep whenever those people in front of his box looked or gestured to him after something happened (i.e. goal, red card, etc) :D

Yeah, I wonder how close he was to punching that old man in the face. There are no red cards in Fight Club. :D

    Oooops!
But my Italian is impeccable. ;)

BTW, even the president of the Competition Committee that reviews suspensions doesn't think Pep should've gotten ejected for his actions.

Oh, and that linesman who raised his flag on both Pep and Ibra, he wears a LPB jersey when he plays pick-up soccer with his friends in Zaragoza. Just FYI.
