    solo lleva 2 meses!

another other than Spain, Italy or England he is better off just moving to a better team in Mexico like Cruz Azul or America.

Holland, Germany,Portugal and France are ok but unless he goes to one of the top 3 teams its the same crap as staying in Mexico

Any other euro league its better just to return to Colombia

I think he would do well in a mid table team in the top 5 leagues (EPL, Spain, Calcio, Bundesliga and France) and could do very good in any team in any of the lesser leagues. However if he does not go to one of the top 5 leagues, he better move to a team with continental aspirations at least... In most countries, other than the top leagues it means one of the top 3 or 4 teams the most...

I don't know Holland, but I see that two colombian strikers are doing fairly well in France and Germany, and I think that there's some resemblance to Jackson in both, so I would not count him out of these countries...

I'm not trying to insult anyone here, but why would you guys think he'll only do well in a mid table team(its a bit undermining the talented lad.). I think he's capable of being in a team like Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter, Milan. etc etc.

The only thing that hurts him is his injury

You really think so much of him? I mean, he's good but he's unprooved... top 5-6 in EPL I would say that translates into one of the top 15 or 20 marksmen in THE WORLD!!!!

Do you really think that much of him?

Furthermore, whose place is he going to take (if that was true)?

Rooney, Berbatov, Torres, Kuyt, Drogba, Anelka, Pato, Huntelaar, Milito, Eto'o, Tevez, Adebayor, Ronaldo, Higuain, Benzema, Ibra, L.Fabiano...

I think he's better than Berbatov. Why not start out at the bench? I think people put big teams in a pedestal and think they are the utlimate team. Its not so true, Jackson has the speed, vertical jump, finish, and strength to help him be successful. He's even better than Rodallega IMO.

I just think us Colombians have to think bigger than to think whats good for "us" because in reality they are no better than anyone else.

Re: Jackson Martinez News & Comments

He might have the potential to be up there with the right coaching, discipline and with tons of work, but he's not exactly a young prospect (He's older than Messi, Ronaldo, Higuain and Pato, among others), but almost a veteran who has to deliver. Believe me, agents would have been knocking down Leonel's door if they tougth that he had such potential 2 or 3 years ago (off course playing in a country that has been out of WC last 3 times does not help his plead)....

With all respect to FPC, our league sucks and thats the reason why a 25+ goal scorer does not make the Euro agents salivate. They know that he might have potential, but he has to proof himself in a higher league and sadly, Mexico has a better tourney right now. Nonetheless he will have to be among the league scoring leaders to be considered European-bound material...

If this process continues as I have put it down, how are the transfers from LMF doing in Europe? Most of them are struggling, even if they're starters in Europe or have transferred to lesser leagues. The only one that found his way to one of the top teams is Vela and he's seldom used by Wegener...

I would say that he is middle of the table material for EPL, Spain or Italy, and if he develops into a better player he might move to a bigger team, but certainly he's not at that level yet.

I think the last "big club" transfer form MFL was Chelito to Lyon but depends on what you think of big club...Vicente Sanchez went to Shalke..again depends on what you view as a big club..obviously neither of these two are top contenders in Europe.

most have gone to mid table clubs with mediocre results to be honest.

    http://www.mediotiempo.com/goleoindividual.php?id_liga=1&id_torneo=220

    9-el garbanzo
    7- Miguel Zepeda
    6-Jackson Martinez
    6-Miguel Sabah
    6-Pablo Barrera
    5-Raul Mancilla
