Time for some revenge from that heavy defeat we suffered earlier in the season. The team is playing real well, and i hope it continues into this game. Delgado is out with a hamstring problem. Bodmer is makes the bench.

    Le groupe lyonnais :
Lloris, Vercoutre - Cris, Boumsong, Lovren, Réveillère, Cissokho, Bodmer - Källström, Gonalons, Toulalan, Makoun, Pjanic - Bastos, Ederson, Govou, Gomis, Lisandro, Tafer.

Le groupe niçois : Letizi, Ospina - Apam, Civelli, Gace, Mabiala, Paisley - Ben Saada, Coulibaly, Digard, Echouafni, Faé, Hellebuyck, Sablé - Bagayoko, Bamogo, Mouloungui, Mounier, Rémy

if i understand nice's style they like to play long balls direct behind the defense. well, the weather right now is going to make it hard for a team that doesn't like to keep the ball on the ground, there's a huge wing blowing from the south.

Scrappy 3pts! I thought we were going to give it up at the end there for a second. Weird 2nd goal for Gomis lol. 2pts from the top!!

Seriously. It only took a few minutes of watching Bodmer playing in his proper position again to realize that he is not a centerback. His talents are being wasted there. He had some real nice touches and kept the ball moving well.

a great first half and a difficult second for lyon, with winds up to 100km/h in their faces. it didn't really help OGCN that much except for ben saada's shot, it doesn't take a cannon to make the ball really zoom in those conditions!

the first half was under complete OL control, and not just because of the wind (which was not as strong before halftime); unfortunately dodgy finishing kept us from being 2 or even 3 up, and that could have caused big regrets. luckily our gones put in a big second half too despite the conditions.

the wind's real influence was that the team heading south had to play farther back and not leave room behind for any fluky bounce off someone's shin to become a deadly through ball. OL was backed up in their half except for a few very open counterattacks that were hard to finish; pjanic missed a nice lisandro cross, but the 50 meter run he had just made probably felt more like 500 against that wind, he was just out of poop.

kudos to the defense, RVR great again (what does ray have against him? meanwhile rennes and fanni are getting eaten alive by montpellier) cissokho solid fore and aft, and boum and cris solid, confident, even inspired. the policeman in complete control on the ground and in the air, and JAB covered acres, helping aly out on the right, J2M in front, and making two of the nicest passes in the match.

lisandro cagey as always but called offsides more than once (and once more than he really was). bastos very active but had trouble finishing, govou also a big help in tight situations but let a couple of good occasions die in his feet.

so only 2 dropped points in 2010! hopefully someone will crack under the pressure, so far it doesn't seem to be montpellier!
