Yesterday, Dinamo Bucharest signed Osvaldo Miranda from Gimansia Jujuy for 1.5 mil euros. Is a good player?

Anyway, there are many argentinian footbal players in Liga I from Romania. Christian Fabbiani (CFR Cluj), ex-striker of Lanus, is one of most valuable players from our championship, his teamate Emmanuel Culio too. CFR Cluj has three mor argentinian players: Sixto Peralta, Sebastian Dubarbier and Diego Ruiz.

Today Diego Ruiz scored his first goal for CFR Cluj in a friendly game against Otelul Galati.

In Otelul squad was playing Gabriel Alejandro Vigliantti a good midfielder.

Miranda played all the 19 matches but scored only 4 goals in the Apertura. He did a lot better at Almagro when they were in the first division, after that he went to Racing where he almost had no play-time and i don't think he scored any goal, then a loan to Independiente where he played a couple of matches and scored a couple of goals, didn't get many chances either, contrary to when he was at Racing though he gave a good image. The 06/07 season he played at Godoy Cruz, there he played 24 matches and scored only 2 goals. It seems that he had troubles adapting to other teams besides Almagro, it's a pity because i think he had some potential. Somewhat a similar story compared to Culio, who couldn't succeed outside Almagro either, funny thing is Miranda and Culio were teammates at Almagro.

By the way Politehnica Ştiinţa Timişoara signed Elvio Martinez who is a midfielder, of Aldosivi, 2nd division club from Mar Del Plata. I don't know much about him.

Cristian Sánchez Prette of Huracán would be joining CFR Cluj for the coming season.

Hah, who would've thought that one day we'd see, Culio, Sixto Peralta, Dubarbier and Sanchez Prette on the Champions League? In top of that one of them scored twice.

Apparently Zenit wants Dubarbier, they would be willing to pay €13,000,000 for him.

This also concerns Gimnasia since they would get paid the developmental rights.

Germán Re could join CFR Cluj because Newell's may use him as part of payment for Fabbiani's transfer.

Pablo Brandan - Best foreign player in Romania

Besides this prize, offered by the most prestigious sporting newspaper, he also features in the leagues best eleven after half of season. Apparently Unirea Urziceni refused 1.4 mil EUR from Stuttgart and asked for 3 mil. EUR instead. Of course, the defender - who came as a free agent - is now very unhappy...

    Re: Argentinos abroad (R)

Osvaldo Miranda returns to Argentina, to Belgrano. The club has the option to make the deal permanent by paying 1 mil. EUR in the summer, 500.000 less than Dinamo Bucharest paid for him in 2008, when the Romanian club bought him from Gimnasia.

Dr. Know, it's a good move. Now I remembered how highly rated were Dubarbier and Culio after CFR had beaten AS Roma in the Champions League. Indeed, Dubarbier was evaluated at 10-11 mil EUR by the club and they refused to sell him for 5-6. Now, I'm sure they regret it...

Well, I'll let you know, both here and on my blog, as I'll be probably watching them a lot starting this Saturday, when the Romanian league will resume.

Yes, indeed. He's definitely a good player, one of the best foreign players who have featured in Romania. I bet Lorient will profit both from his performances on the pitch as well as from his future sell!

As, promised (sorry for the delay), here's an update on the Argentinian players that signed for Astra and featured in the first game of the year, an impressive and valuable away win against Pandurii, with 2-0:

Kruchowski - played at left back, in a defense of four. Strong full back, aggressive in tackling, had some problems blocking the flank, but coped with his opponents better when he decided to keep it simple and not hold the ball too much - the pitch was terrible. Needs to improve, as he didn't look impressive in his first appearance for the club.

    Danilo Carando
    - was on the bench, but didn't feature, could make his debut this Sunday, at home, against FC Brasov.

On another note, there's a rumor regarding Cristian Fabbiani, who could return to Romania, although he has been released by CFR Cluj. Steaua is interested in his services, but he needs to lower his demands, as he asked for 250.000 Euros per season! More details on my blog.

Yes, it seems in the end he'll play at Steaua. Now he claims he doesn't want to play in Argentina and he'll return to Romania, when he didn't want to know anything about going back to Romania before... Talk about changing mind. But i guess he'll have to get serious now, Steaua is a big club in Romania he can't fool around with them just because.
