Out of all the former Clash/Quakes I don't think there is anyone who has as a pretigious job as Michael Emenalo who is Head Scout at an important club like Chelsea F.C.

    He passed away in 2005

Moved back to the New England area--was engaged to Todd Smith until he died in 2003.

Actually, he plays beach soccer for the US team. Been in their stable the past few years...

Just saw him just the other day at the Club Quake event! He does hang out here every now and then... ;)

    He actually returned to Brazil

    ----
Ask his brother--he'll be more than happy to tell you where he is now! :D

No knocking on Mella there! :D

I think the California Cougars folded or at least the league did. But didn't Vincente Figueroa play for the KC Wizards?

Yeah Vicente played for the 1999 & 2000 Kansas City Wizards. He won a championship with them, and was waived half way through 2001.

MISL died but there is now the PASL. Looks like a Santa Clara team won a championship and on that team was Vincente Figureroa and another familiar name, Nelson Santana. Anyone here see this team play locally?

Caleb "Red Card" Porter leads the undefeated Akron Zips into the NCAA College Cup semifinals vs. North Carolina tonight at 4:30 pm on ESPNU. He is apparently a top candidate for the DC United job.

Good for Porter. He made good on his 1 shoot out attempt in 1999 LOL!

I betcha he gets a red from the DC United sidelines.

Wiki says Caleb Porter scored 1 goal in 4 MLS SJ Clash games........wonder if that was the shootout goal? .

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caleb_Porter

Btw, looking at the 1st half of College Cup, I find little difference in the level of play between MLS play especially the Quakes skill level.

That's perfectly all right. It's well documented that the best players don't always make the best coaches, in fact, it's frequently the exact opposite.

Mike Singletary anyone? Seriously, all this hype about this guy, I really don't know what its all about! I hope he proves me wrong but I think the Yorks got their hands full! Back to soccer, you are right! Ciro Ferrara is one of the best defenders of all time and he is about to be fired for one of the best all time coaches, Guus Hiddink who was just an average player and even played for our San Jose EarthQuakes!
