Of course, a little context might clarify things a bit...

Bit funny him telling everyone to get over it. I'm sure Haaland wished that Keane had gotten over his vendetta way back when.

The demons still run deep with Roy; I said in 2002 and I still believe it that in the years that followed the WC '02 he'd be scratching his head wondering how he could have been such a muppet. And so it continues.

The 2002 WC was the first WC that I really followed closely and the Irish side were one of the tournaments darlings. I really grew to love Duff from that WC. Honestly, WITH Roy Keane in that side, WOW, they would have advanced.

There is so much in this latest outburst which gives further insight into the validity of the points made regarding his mental state during the many many hours of discussion we had on here in the fall out (in every sense of the words) from Saipan.

    Reminds me of a limerick:

There once was a hardhead named Keane
In '02 he wasn't pleased with the scene
    the pitch was like rock
Coach Mick said "what the fock?"
and Roy got booted from the team

Roy has to be one of the most bitter men in the sport.

He has a good point though. I often see players (in any teams) raising their arms when then spot a foul or an off side (and sometimes there is not). Don't stop playing, just clear the ball if you can instead of waiting for the whistle !

i keep watching the goal score by gallas,i was wonder what shane givens doing?he suppose to clear and block the ball again henry instead of raise his hand up and complained,at that moment henry passed the ball to gallas and france score, look at 2 irish defenders turn to ref and raise their hand also, they should clear the ball inside 6 yards, that's show inexperience irish, that was a difference between power house and second class team!germany, brasil, italy or argentina will never immature like that!

Hope you dont mind an outsider but Im a big fan of Roy.

Doesnt mean he's completely off his rocker with his last statements. They had nothing to do with the match. Just his beef with the FAI. I wonder why he himself cant figure that much out.

Sure, Ireland couldve done more but the simple matter of fact here is that you were completely robbed by a ref. Refs taking or allowing goals from a competitive match where THEY decide the outcome? How about that Roy?

I dont think the man is well

We'll never know and regardless of what he says, that decision is going to haunt him the rest of his life.
