Continue here guys. I was going to call it the "Kroos vs. Oezil vs. Mueller vs. Holtby vs. Godzilla" thread but I thought I'd go with something more optimistic.

Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" U20 final World Cup roster is out, see special thread
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" These players are currently the most talented youngsters among the country: Forwards: Thomas Müller (20, SS/AM, Bayern Munich) Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (20, SS/AM, Nürnberg) Alessandro Riedle (18, CF, Vfb Stuttgart) Felix Kroos (18, SS/AM, Rostock) Richard Sukuta-Pasu (19, CF, Leverkusen) Andre Schürrle (19, SS/AM, Mainz) Lennart Thy (17, CF, Werder Bremen) Abu-Bakarr Kargbo (17, SS/AM, Hertha Berlin) Fabian Bäcker (19, CF/RW, Monchengladbach) Sandro Wagner (22, CF/AM, Duisburg) Marco Terrazzino (18, SS/AM, Hoffenheim) Pascal Breier (17, CF, Stuttgart) Shawn Parker (16, CF, Mainz) Marius Duhnke (16, CF, Bayern Munich) Midfielders: Mesut Oezil (21, AM, Werder Bremen) Marko Marin (20, LW, Werder Bremen) Deniz Naki (20, AM/LW, St.Pauli) Toni Kroos (19, AM, Leverkusen) Sören Bertram (18, DM/CM, HSV) Reinhold Yabo (17, CM/DM, Koln) Mario Götze (17, AM, Dortmund) Lewis Holtby (19, LW/SS, Schalke) Savio Nsereko (20, LW/RW, Florentina) Sami Khedira (22, CM/DM, Stuttgart) Sebastian Rudy (19, CM, Stuttgart) Timo Gebhart (20, AM, Stuttgart) Lars Bender (20, CM/DM, Leverkusen) Sven Bender (20, CM/DM, Dortmund) Defenders: Holger Badstuber (20, CB, Bayern Munich) Mats Hummels (21, CB/DM, Dortmund) Benedikt Howedes (21, CB, Schalke) Jerome Boateng (21, RB/CB, HSV) Serdar Tasci (22, CB, Stuttgart) Andreas Beck (22, RB, Hoffenheim) Gonzalo Castro (22, RB/DM, Leverkusen) Christopher Buchtmann (17, LB/LM/CM, Liverpool) Shervin Radjabali-Fardi (18, LB, Hertha Berlin) Shkodran Mustafi (17, CB, Everton) Bienvenue Basala-Mazana (17, RB, Koln) Thomas Müller, Sukuta-Pasu, Lennart Thy, Marco Terrazzino, Toni Kroos, Marko Marin, Mesut Oezil, Mario Götze, Lewis Holtby, Benedikt Howedes, Mats Hummels, Shkodran Mustafi and Jerome Boateng are among the best players at their positions, especially at their age group I think these are the best crop of youngsters we've produced in ages. And indeed a golden generation
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" why do you keep mentioning Abu Bakarr Kargbo? I can't understand it. He's technically sooooo weak and just has size/body advantages (who knows whether he's actually as old as he claims to be ). I just can't see a real pattern in your lists, I don't think it's good to name a 17 year old centerback prospect along with Serdar Tasci. And when you use both young boys and Bundesliga players, then it's rather weird to mention the RB Basala-Manzana without mentioning the Bundesliga RB Dennis Diekmeier... you see those problems? I don't think that we should make those lists. It's okay to do this per age group (1990: .... 1991: .... etc), but not like this.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" maybe i was just too lazy to break it down to different age groups. But those are some of the "wonderkids" or hot prospects we've produced. Hope u see the logic there. 1993: Heard some good stuff about the 2 1993ers: Shawn Parker from Mainz and Marius Duhnke from Bayern Munich, from the transfermarkt forum. Haven't seen them in action but fans do rate them. And i hope smithfan can tell us more about the two as she has done scouting on the U16 players not long ago. 1992: And i think players like Goetze, Lennart Thy, Yabo, Mustafi and Basala-Mazana have proven that they're top talents at their age in the U17 Euro. Goetze especially, is a genius. Suddenly we have Oezil, Kroos, MArin and now Goetze. The future at AM is gonna be great. I tihnk Kargbo is a capable player who is very versatile and certainly knows how to score. But as u've said, i doubt he is really a 16year old. From what i've heard, several African descents such as Yabo and Kargbo are gonna have an "age test" . There are machines that examines someone's real age. I won't be surprised if he is 7 years older. Martins' (Wolfsburg) real age is also arround 31 or 32. U never know the Africans' real age anyway. 1991: Alessandro Riedle is currently adapting in the 3Bundelsiga , but the kid was already a starter for grasshopper's professional team last season at the age of 17; Terrazzino needs to find out his best position on the pitch, which imo is AM or RW; Felix Kroos has to handle the pressure better, he performs so much better for the U16, U17, U18 and now U19 NT, and there is no reason why he cannot make it in Rostock since he is an esceptional talent like his brother, just different position but looks like the Rostock staff do like him 1990: Everyone is thinknig of Toni Kroos, Holtby, Sukuta-PAsu or Seb Rudy. But i am more interested in the development of players like Esswein, Schurrle, Fabian Baecker, Yalcin and Testroet. Saw them played, and they have different strengths. Schurrle and Yalcin are both first team players for their clubs already. The rest are goos prospects too but need more time.

Not a great team but some decent prospects there.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Good to see Mlapa in again. This age group is still one of our weaker ones though...
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" So Marco Reus, Tony Jantschke and Roman Neustädter aren't promising midfielders... And watch out for THIS guy as well.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" I do like Marco Reus, but at his position we've players like Marko Marin, Oezil, Holtby, Naki and Nsereko. So comapred to the others, he looks slightly The u19 may be the weakest among all junior NTs. But in terms of individual quality, there are many qulity 18 year olds there. Pascal Groß, Marco Terrazzino, Felix Kroos, Lennart Hartmann, Radjabali Fardi have all played/started for their clubs first team already; Cenk Tosun and Alessandro Riedle are both in the first team roster (frankfurt n Stuttgart respectively) and are training with the professionals. I am a little bit surprised that Adriano Grimaldi isn't there. He looked very promising last weekend for Mainz. these Italian-German always dream of playing for the Italian youth NTs, but in fact, they won't be recognised enough there in Italy unless they're playing for Bayern Munich. Marco Terrazzino, publicly announced that he prefers Italy, but seems like he has no choice there coz the Italy youth NT prefer youngsters playing in Italy and not many scouts have been sent to Germany. Now Terrazzino have played 5 games for the U18 already
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Marco Terrazzino's parents are Italian. Grimaldi has a German mother. That's already a difference, so I doubt that Grimaldi thinks like Terrazzino.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Terrazzino, Felix Kroos, Cenk Tosun, Alessandro Riedle, Daniel Ginczek, Sebastian Polter, Mlapa, Marvin Pourie, Grimaldi Looks like the U19 have some very good attackers there even though i don't rate Terrazzino as a foward anymore. The DFB also categorize him as a midfielder. Felix Kroos , undoubtly a very talented 18 year old, was a transfer target of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. The kid was our team topscorer in the U16, U17 and U18 NT , but never looks quite as confident for Rostock. I am starting to worry that he will have a similar career path as his brother's. I am more optimistic at Alessandro Riedle 's career though. He'll be more recognised since everyone knows and somewhat repects his father. I even think the reason why Babbel played him in the T-Home Cup(he was just 17 at that time) was mainly becoz of the Riedle's connection. No one admits but the advantage is there
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Seriously guy, you are obsessed. Is it just me or deals every other of your post with someone's ethnicity? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHwEw7EbSjg"]YouTube - 'Plastedeutsch'[/ame]
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" You're not the only one who has had this thought about Kirsten...
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" I have to admit. After the "Turkish FA want Oezil" thing, i have been more aware. I think DFB need to be more aware of how these immigrants or Turkish/Italian/Afrian descents mix into the community.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Yeah, I know, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to post the video.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" DSF will broadcast the U19 qualification games against Moldova and Turkey.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" I think you could put Phillipp Bargfrede in there. He has had some good games for Werder Bremen and even made an assist in the Europa League. Not bad at all.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" "Plastedeutsch" - how do these neo-Nazis imagine those phrases?! Btw. the guy in the video was involved in the "Anti-Owomoyela campaign", I don't repeat the stupid phrases, but people like this NPD guy should go to a phyatrist and not into polictics. Such people only make me angry.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Tarik Camdal and Sandro Kaiser had a pretty good game against Hertha Berlin, especially Camdal. Camdal already is a German U19 international, Kaiser hasn't been included so far.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" Thomas Mueller, Schieber, Choupo-Moting, Schurrle and Christopher Nöthe, these five starting forwards for different BL clubs should be automatic options for our U21. Thomas Mueller and Schieber weren't that recognised by the DFB when they're younger. Schieber didn't play a single match for the youth NTs even before his U21 debut; Nöthe was also a fringe player there. Don't think Schurrle was mentioned that often either. Sukuta-Pasu, Holtby, Fabian Baecker, Testroet, Ginczek or even Tsoumou were higher profile players in the previous U19. DFB have strange judgement on youngsters potential. And talents usually come out of nowhere these days. And unless we can win the WCQ games against Finland and Russia, i don't think Thomas Mueller n Schurrle should be brought to the NT yet, no matter how impressive the two kids are doing this season
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" That's bs. There will always be some talents that do not get recognized by the DFB, or that get recognized too late, it's difficult to judge youths, because their bodys still develop, because there's hardly any tv couverage and you have to rely on sighting tournaments (which won't give you the whole picture), and on the limited number of matches your scouts can watch. Take one of your examples: a year ago, Schieber wasn't really on Stuttgarts list, either, Fischer was, he even played Champions League 2 years ago, and he is a couple of months younger than Schieber. Now Fischer seems to be completely out of the picture, he's not even mentioned when it comes to players that were not selected for the youth world cup - how should the DFB predict Schiebers rise when even Stuttgart was placing their hopes on their other young striker? Things change pretty fast at that age. I also can't agree when you say that talents "usually" come out of nowhere. Schieber and Müller are exceptions... look at those that made it into the adult nt in the last 3 or 4 years and tell me who was not a youth nt player... yeah, right, Cacau . Or look at J. Boateng, Kroos (both of them), Gebhart, Marin, also Choupo-Moting - all went through the DFB youth nts. The DFBs scouting and youth development is amazing these days.
Re: German NT Youth Discussion Thread "The Golden Generation" It would be nice if Kirsten didn't look at players like FIFA manager mode, just looks at ratings and numbers.
