See me only addressing the thread topic here:

there is no announcement from the content providers yet. Until the show is announced, it is all just guessing and posturing. Sirius isn't the font of all truth, I'm with woody on this. Wait for an announcement and go from there.

An anti Steven rant-so stating facts is now a rant. OK if you say so.

Are you saying Steven locked himself in his garage, how do you manage that one!:D Now that sh!t is funny.

IF Sirius jumped the gun, then why is it STILL on their website?

Again, stating facts is ranting, according to you. Talking of facts, which thread did i PERSONALLY get locked? I certainly am not a moderator, so that rules that option out. It sounds like you are clutching at straws Woody, bit like someone else i could mention.

I'd also like WSD and WFD too, America gets it's soccer show (WSD) back for FREE (so they can stop blaming decent American Soccer fans-like those ones Cohen bragged about taunting with cries of "MURDERERS", or maybe even the ones he likened to the Taliban or called "TERRORISTS", didn't he also mention Nazi's?) and Cohen gets to disappear into obscurity on the back of his "for the people, by the people"-but it'll cost ya $9.95 a month WFD.

It's all about skill sets Woody. Causing the horsemen of the Apocolypse to mount up: easy. Getting out of your garage: hard.;)

1st of all, how the hell do you get a hold of Monday's (the 31st) podcast. I want to hear all the fine details myself.

RSS and Podcast.com are showing nothing and I can't be bothered to deal with all that itunes nonsense when I don't use it for anything. Is itunes the only option right now?

As for the 10/mth discussion, I'm hoping that they offer a different and preferably lower price to those who can not get involved during the shows live hours.

Reason being is that all I (and others) can get is a podcast.

It's on Itunes at the moment.

Not sure about the other venues.

Couple of pertinent developments from the Mon podcast:

    1. They are probably going to offer cheaper price packages...Cohen threw out $6.95, but did not specify what you would get for that price. There's been a lot of talk about a cheaper price for podcast only access. That may be it, but we'll have to wait and see.

    2. Tentative start date for WFD is Oct. 1

    3. Tentatively, they will be doing a free podcast every Mon. in September until Oct. 1, after which it's subscription only. Looks like they've bought us (and themselves) some time to sort it all out.

Cbrown89, go ask Sirius why it's still on their site, I don't handle their web content. The rest of your message is pointless, it's just more propaganda to enflame emotions, and I don't play that game.

I do find it amusing to see you try the point by point gauntlet throwing, as if you can actually make me mad.:D Ah well, it comes with the territory; those who feel hurt often want to hurt others. I don't hold it against you, and I hope someday you realize that continuing to demonize people is a poor way to get your message across. I think Steven would now agree with that too, so you two have that in common.

Anyway, on to a serious question by someone who actually is interested in an answer, not a fight...

Go to feed://wfdpodcast.com/RSS_feed.xml if you aren't using iTunes. In iTunes, as DempC said, it automatically downloads if you still have the WSD subscription.

You're spot on with everything, DempC.

The lower package is for audio only. They hope to have it for both live and pod, but it may just be the pod DL for a while. They are in a whole new tech world, I expect to see the tiers changing a bit over the first 6 months.

    Propaganda eh.... http://worldsoccerreader.com/2009/09/sirius-announces-new-hosts-for-world-soccer-daily/

Sirius Satellite Radio has announced that World Soccer Daily will continue with new hosts.

According to a release from the company and information on their web site, the daily call-in show formerly hosted by Steven Cohen and Kenny Hassan will continue production after briefly going off-the-air on Friday, August 21. The new hosts will be Nick Geber and Keith Costigan

I said the rest of YOUR post was propaganda, silly, the "let's bash Steven some more". :D

And, as I said, it's not official until Nick and WSD announces it. Remember, I do have more info that you on this one...Glad to see Sirius is still supporting WSD tho. We haven't seen that release from Sirius either..I'd better contact them and get a copy.

What's with all this WE Woody ?
As much as you'd like it to be otherwise you're just a guy with broardband access who has alot of time on his hands, you're not part of the WFD team & no ammount of WEthis and WE that will alter that fact, that is unless you're not actualy who you claim to be(and no i don't think that's the case).

Hopefully the press release is true and WSD does continue because that was always the aim,the fanboys can pay over the odds whilst the real footy fans can talk footy with two people who do actually know a thing or 2,they may even get some interviews with Chelsea the next time they're in LA.

Come on, he was saying "We haven't seen a release from Sirius" meaning EVERYONE. That aside, he does have more insight into what is going on than most. Believe what you like, but when you're going to attack someone for using the term "we" make sure he's not using it as intended, expressing membership in a group with the statement. He is correct, /WE/ haven't seen any announcements from anyone involved...unless you have one that I've not seen yet?

And I'm ignoring the rest of it so the thread doesn't get locked, but it wasn't quite up to your normal standards :).

It's funny how they just come and ATTACK, isn't it?

I'd be interested to see the dating on this press release from Sirius that WSR got. I haven't seen the release at all, and noone else has mentioned it, but I bet it's from last week. A lot of things can happen in a week...I'll see if I can get it and post it for people.

[edit] Hmm...nothing on their normal release page. I asked at WSR and see if he'll link it. Otherwise I'll call Sirius Media Relations in the morning when I have time.

Why do i need to "bash Steven some more"-your words NOT mine.

He insulted LFC on FFF Dec 5th 2006-forced to apologize a week later
In 2007 it was the "they have five European Cups on their shirts but should have 39 coffins" on Sirius, again forced to apologize.
2008 saw him brag about taunting AMERICAN Liverpool fans with cries or "MURDERERS".
2009 saw the "milking the tragedy" comments and then TWO DAYS before Hillsborough's 20th Anniversary having yet another dig and 'claiming' it was due to the disaster in the Ivory Coast which had happened TWO WEEKS previously.

Why do i need to do anything when Cohen is so good at doing it himself.

btw Did you hear that interview on Irish radio, just another example of Cohen doing what he does best.:D

It's because some people like to say that stating facts equates to bashing when those facts put someone they like in a bad light.

Unfortunately Steven has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth so often that it's very difficult to talk about facts related to him and not show him in a bad light.

On the other hand speculating about things that may or may not be true (and which have no evidence whatsoever to back them up ) is quite OK as long as Steven says so because they make Steven look good.

Long story short facts make Steven look bad and are not OK.
Speculation makes Steven look good and are bad.

So we now can't talk about WSD in a WSD thread... and there was me thinking it was only Cohen going on about "free speech".:D

The first rule of WSD is you don't talks about WSD. Ooops

No, first rule of WSD is that you don't endlessly re-hash the same things over and over.

This thread was fine until the same morons decided that they hadn't made their points enough. You know, the same ones they've been arguing since April and neither side has changed their minds.

    Closed.
